Owner Donnette Hansen's attention to detail is reflected in everything from the comfortable refined log cabin setting & landscaped grounds to the seasonally changing menus. Insider's tip: go for the business lunch ($19 for three courses). Sophisticated but not stuffy! Menu hits include elk chops, grilled buffalo tenderloin, smoked rainbow trout caviar topped tater tots and Lodge smoked duck gumbo. Do not miss the famous TIED FLY BAR! with its crafted cocktails and views of an acre of grounds, the bar is the most popular seat in the house.     I wish I could give more than 5 stars all the way around! The staff was incredible! Very knowledgeable and fast. The food! We went for Sunday brunch. I had bison brisket eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the mixed grill with egg- rabbit boudin, quail, and other treats all full of flavor. My mother in law isn’t a wild game eater so she had the chicken schnitzel. She ate every bit of it. That and the $2 mimosas, who could ask for more? Price was comparable to other restaurants in this category. All 3 of us ate for about $100. I’m sure dinner is more expensive, but it is worth it. The restaurant itself is in an old log cabin that has been kept in pristine condition and added onto for lots of space. Outside seating looked inviting- but it was hot and rainy. This is definitely a new favorite for us.

    The bar had no orange bitters for my Manhattan. They were out of scallops. Gumbo was outstanding but short ribs were very fatty with little meat and not especially tender. Sea bass was very good but rainbow trout was just ok. For almost $400 for 4 people I expected more. AC was blowing cold and right on me which was a bit uncomfortable but not unbearable. Shrimp appetizer was a bit over cooked.

    Looking for a spot for a great meal for a special occasion, this is it! Service was great from beginning to end and the ambience is great for an intimate gathering with a couple of a closed group of friends.

    Service wasn’t that great the steak I ordered for medium it came rare was a low-grade choice of meat. Lotta fat muscle food was not that good.
