Service was totally messed up. All food came out wrong
Consistently fabulous! Best place for any event. My 5-year-old's the place to go for brunch, he loves the chicken tenders at Rainbow Lodge.
Took my husband for his birthday and we were given a small table in a extremely small room. It was SO loud I had to ask to move tables. I gave 3 stars because we did get to move to a more quiet open place. Food was fair, very small portion for price. Very tasty wine but be prepared to pay for it.
Rainbow Lodge is my go to for Anniversaries, Birthdays, Friends in from out of town, anytime you want to enjoy something special. Wonderful atmosphere, service and delicious food.
When I made the reservation I let them know it was my birthday but there was no mention of it at the dinner. Also we were sat next to the fireplace and although it was Poot was very hot.
The food was very good; however the service was exceptionally slow. The restaurant was hosting a very large wedding which impacted the speed in which the kitchen could cook.
I really dislike that you’ve implemented valet-only for Lunch…you have to park on the street if you don’t want to leave your car with a stranger….not coming back!!!
Rudi was very good !! Every restaurant needs their staff is be like he is, very friendly and courteous.
As always the food and service were simply perfect.
Everything was great. Great food, great drinks, great service! We'll be back!
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and drinks and outstanding service and ambiance!
This was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant! The food and the presentation of the food was akin to a diner, with all apologies to diners! We were celebrating my wife's 55th birthday and that was placed in the reservation. The Host acknowledged it tacitly when he "found" the reservation, other than that there no more mention of it! We chose RL based on an article from food critic Allison Cook. She described the Elk Chop and had a picture of it. Mine looked nothing like the picture, there was no beautiful sauce over the chop and no pickled radishes, just an overcooked, (ordered medium rare) piece of meat that I had to return and still did not come out right. Allison has never let us down before. The service was rushed and not attentive at all. The Service Manager, Thomas, walked by our table several times and never acknowledged our presence. Not a big deal until he fawned over another table as though they were paying from a different menu! This made my wife very annoyed. He finally came to the table to apologize for the overcooked chop, when the check arrived, and he comped the desserts. This was a very expensive and bad experience, with a poor attempt at recovery from the Service Manager! We didn't come for free food, but we also did not come for poor service, underwhelming food, and to be treated differently! Allison Cook missed on this one. I will have to take her recommendations with grain of salt and slight side-eye from now on. The Rainbow Lodge was a huge let down! The one positive, my son loved the quail bites! He said they were better than Taste of Texas!
Great comfortable dining room, superb food and great service!
I went on a date with my pregnant wife for brunch. Rainbow lodge offers non alcoholic mix drinks. The service was great. The duck gumbo with wild boar sausage was amazing. Great place to take a date or family.
This was our first time visiting Rainbow Lodge. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation and was seated. The ambiance was good and the food was delicious. We were there for my husbands birthday. We would definitely visit again.
Excellent food across all three courses. Paolo, our server, and the rest of the staff provided five-star service throughout. Will definitely come back next time we are in Houston.
Ambiance good, food fair, all sides not cooked fully, desert was frozen solid told by Mgr to let it sit and it will get softer. They did comp it at end but Mgr seemed not to care .
Excellent as always! What a special place to enjoy my birthday!
I ordered the lunch special, and I expected a reduced portion. However, the size of the entree was barely visibly on the plate. I enjoyed it but I left hungry. I am not a big eater.
Always consistent, a Houston institution. Snapper was piping hot and delicate. Filet was perfectly cooked.
