   I chose Rainbow Lodge for our 25th anniversary but despite those notations on reservations was very little fanfare. The outside dining area is beautiful and provides the ambiance I was hoping for, I should have chosen to sit outdoors. Service was adequate and kind, but it was not excellent. The food was a disappointment, we waited an hour and half for the main course which arrived luke warm and had very little flavor. Everything needed salt/pepper. Expect to valet, the parking lot is very small.

   Excellent service and menu, food was great. The dining experience was great and the drink menu was very good.

   Impeccable and friendly service in a very unique setting. rainbow Lodge made a memorable last night in a long weekend visiting Houston

   Service was terrible not very friendly, weight staff or the head person at the welcome desk . We had to wait 15 minutes and then had to ask for menus

   Amazing experience! Food and service was really good. We both left happy. The bread pudding was excellent!

   Wonderful restaurant, nice and quiet at 5pm on a Friday afternoon. Great atmosphere. The Elk Chop is the best, and my wife really enjoyed her Rainbow Trout. This will be our special place for future occasions!

   Attentive service from start to finish. Solid restaurant for date night. The fresh rolls and lobster avocado salad are great appetizers for two. The Mixed Grill is a staple entree that includes a filling variety of meats. I'm still dreaming about the banana creme pie dessert. It was a wonderful experience and we will continue to dine here.

   My mom and I went to Rainbow Lodge for a pre-ballet brunch. It was our first time there, and we had a great experience. The view is beautiful and peaceful, especially considering that you are sitting in the middle of Houston. The interior is like an upscale hunting lodge which is exactly what you'd expect. Our server Thomas made sure that we had everything we needed when we needed it, was personable, but also didn't hover and hang out too much. We had the pecan pull apart bread to start which was pretty good. The main event for me was the chicken fried venison. It was so exciting to see wild game on a menu (to be fair, it's the reason that I chose to eat there). It did NOT disappoint - so good and so well-seasoned. I rarely finish a meal in a restaurant, but there was no way I was leaving a bite of that venison on the plate. My mom had the rainbow trout with lump crab and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning as there are other things that I need to try.

   It's a great place, great food and great atmosphere. It has been always but most importantly it has remain top notch. If I have to find a defect it's the wine list which does not have a large veriety of European or South American wines and definitely overpirced all the wines selection.

    Went here for a special occasion, which I listed on the booking. Had a fairly terrible seat, ambience wasn't good, portions too small and food overpriced.
