Food was ok. It’s very much a game featured brunch spot (venison, duck, boar etc).
Food was good. Interest is the word I would use to describe it. It wasn’t surprising - but it was different.
Would I go back? No. There wasn’t much of a draw to return.

Everything was perfect. The bar tender did forget to mix my whiskey sour. Once I figured out this minor problem, the drink was perfect. The fried oysters were terrific as were the lamb medallions. My wife loved the trout. Didn't care too much for the desert. Not a restaurant problem. I ordered something I knew nothing about because my wife wanted the desert for two. She liked it very much.

Anniversary but no special treatment. Couldn’t get a table by the window even though they went unoccupied our whole visit. No anniversary desert? For almost $300 dollars throw in a freakin desert.

Our visit was the first Thursday of the Coronavirus, so the place was almost empty, so it was very quiet and we had outstanding service.

Hands down an all around great dinner! Except for the loud drunk lady debating politics behind us. Oh well.
Thank you Rainbow Lodge team!!

It was a very enjoyable experience. I didn't care for the shrimp and grits, but that is not the restaurant's fault. I am not a big fan of shrimp & grits. The other three tastings were great as was all but one wine. Oddly enough, I did not care for the wine with the shrimp and grits. I shall return next month for the Oregon wine tasting event.

We enjoyed a special birthday dinner at RL with a wide age range in the party. They catered to all our needs for elderly, baby, gluten-free and good wine recommendations. Game and seafood were wonderful! Birthday person had a nice "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate with a candle on his dessert. Only small disappointment was that they didn't comp the birthday person's dessert as most restaurant's tend to do for their guests. Overall, a delightful meal experience.

Went early with our five month old. Pleasant service and good food. Would not say it’s exactly kid friendly but that’s why we went early!

There was a waiter who kept brushing against my chair , not being slightly considerate of other guest other than the ones he was servicing. They seated us near the noisiest table , I don't know why. Bad experience.

We met long time friends for dinner here. I would like to first say that all the food items were delicious from the oysters and Brussels sprouts through the many types of game to the bread pudding and lemon ice box cake. The service, however, wasn’t spectacular considering the price point of this restaurant. To start with, most drinks arrived quickly except for my glass of Sauvignon Blanc which took over five minutes. I also had to ask for water several times as only six glasses were placed at our table of seven. The food arrived In a mostly timely fashion, but the one requested glass of red wine for the main course arrived after most of us had finished our dishes. Then after the mains were cleared we were not asked about dessert or coffee but had to flag down our waiter to ask him for dessert menus. We will likely come back for the food, but the service needs to be bumped up a notch.

The ambiance of the Rainbow Lodge is the best. We went there to celebrate Valentine's Day two weeks late and it didn't disappoint. Valet parking was easy and quick. Greeted and seated at our table very quickly. Our waiter was very attentive and explained the menu very thoroughly. The menu has a variety of wild game selections. Food was prepared to order. I had seared duck, my wife had beef ribeye. She said that the asparagus that came with her meal was the best that she has ever tasted. We shared a very nice desert. Overall, we had a great evening. We will dine there again.

As usual the hospitality of Rainbow Lodge shines. We went on a night they were doing a wine dinner and another fairly large event. They did not skip a beat with their excellent service and tasty food. We had the Red Snapper special. We in no way felt neglected in spite of the busy night. Thank you!

Great experience and food.

I had not been to Rainbow Lodge in Years. It used to be one off my favorite restaurants.

I was looking for somewhere special to take my mother for her birthday. I saw the reviews on Open Table and decided this might be the perfect place. Simply put, it was Perfect. The food was fantastic, service was excellent, the ambience was lovely. I loved the trout, my mother devoured the beef tenderloin, my husband sang the praises of the mixed grill and our friend truly enjoyed the pheasant. They surprised us with a very delicious Sosebee dessert. If I had any complaint, it was a little loud. But all in all, we could not have made a better choice to celebrate this very special occasion.

Finding Rainbow Lodge was great and I will be back. They have a great location in The Heights with a homey lodge white table cloth setting. Service was very good and the chef driven game recipes were outstanding. The lamb ribeye and venison osso buco were outstanding as were our small plates meatballs and fried quail - very fairly priced. My only complaint was the craft cocktails pricing at $18 was bit ridiculously high priced - while good these would be $10-$12 drinks in most comparable venues.

We had a great time at RL. Admittedly, the parking situation is abominable. But the setting and food are fabulous. We loved our server, too. She was knowledgeable, good-humored, and even just assumed we would all want separate checks. (How many times have you had a server balk or even just groan when you asked for that?) several of us had the business lunch, which is perfect. Soup or salad, a smaller entree and a perfect little dessert for just $15. Outstanding!

Place was nice but waiters dressed like they were at a barn dance. Our waiter forgot our appetizer so they were enough to give it to us at no charge. She was ok but not very friendly. I ordered the crab leg n bison entree($65) and was surprised to see one crab leg ( cut into 3 pieces). For $65 thought i would at least get 2 legs.
Overall the food was good but overpriced. We ordered the dessert sampler with a white chocolaté martini. Again, our waitress forgot the martini and we decided not to bring it up.
Self parking very limited. We did valet and when we left, the valet didn’t even open the door for my girlfriend.

Amazingly cute venue with super yummy menu options!! Our server was wonderful & we enjoyed our entire visit to Rainbow Lodge!! Valet parking is great & I'm super happy that we opted for taking our smaller vehicle. Pretty positive that they’d have found room for our HUGE truck but glad that they didn’t have to ~

It was okay, we went with friends for my hud anda birthday...nothing terrible, but also not anything to recommend, in my opinion. Portions are small for the price tag. Cake wasn’t anything special at all. Our waiter didn’t come by too often. He made awkward comments and didn’t ever write down anything. A few times he had to rethink what we said and we were all saying “how about he get a pen” amongst each other. Food flavor wasn’t bad, but there’s also way better out there with same or similar price. We won’t be back.

We ordered the petit tasting menu for four and two wine pairings. All of food was served by a runner with no explanation of the courses; this was certainly not in alignment with the $81/tasting. Several of the red meat courses were served rare - our sever did not visit the table to identify if this preparation was suitable. Many of our dishes were removed in obscure manners and untimely when others at our table were not finished with a course. The entire experience was underwhelming, felt rushed and not worth the $438 total price we paid excluding the tip.

We went there for Valentine’s Day and I ordered elk steak , it was all red and pink when I asked for medium well , the toffee cake was not suited to my case
Overall it was okay because of the ambience but if im paying 200 + for two people , I would expect something more delightful
