Order the lobster roll. Food was very good. Would definitely go back.
Amazing food. Great service. Great location.
Honestly the best restaurant on the Ave. The food is insanely good!
Hostess excellent, server not very customer service oriented but ok. Food was delicious, fresh, well prepared.
Great spot! Very busy and had a good vibe. Drinks were strong and food was delicious! Octopus is a must!
Even with the crowd , we were seated on time , hostess very nice .Food was fantastic . Blackened grouper awesome . Wish they had a better wine list
Food was fabulous, service was great!
Always live going here when we are in Delray.
Usually a big fan of Gary Rack’s restaurants but this was the worst experiences I’ve had at one. The sushi was good but everything from there went downhill quick. The restaurant ran out on f 4 of the main course meals as well as other appetizers. The service was very impersonal and careless and when we got our meal it was a 4/10. Overall, the experience was disappointing and I will not be returning soon.
It was Valentine's day but our reservation was only 7:30pm and they were out of nearly every we ordered.
Usually this place has a better service but they didn’t do a good job this time was horrible specially when the food it is not expensive and now this restaurant is adding a 3 percent charge to your bill for Corona. We weren’t happy about it. We are all dealing with Corona most of don’t get a relieve.
Great for a Valentine’s Day date!
My wife and I dined at Racks Fish House on Valentines Day. We wanted to take a long ride to an area we had never been before. Ended up being the best Valentines day celebration we have ever had.
Every day dining as well as for special occasions. The service good snd drinks are fresh snd most tasty.
I reserved an outside table. When we got there for 530 seating the lady said there would not be an outdoor table for at least another 30 to 45 minutes.
Maybe there’s a new ownership.
I’ve been here a few times and never had an issue.
So being that I was with my handicapped mother we had to sit at the table inside. Inside the bar was bumper-to-bumper to bumper people not wearing masks there was no social distancing. And actually, the bartender took his mask off a few times to speak to some of the clients.
Appetizers were good. Shrimp cocktails, mussels, and the Caesar salad.
The worst part was that I’m on a salt restricted diet and the server told us that the chef could not do anything about it because everything contains salt at the restaurant. He could not make me fresh vegetables he said it comes that way. Even the steak that we had was completely covered in salt, the snapper fish had salt on it I could not believe that they could not cater to our needs and that all of that food had salt on it.
They did not have any decaffeinated drinks (tea). We enjoy good food and money is no objective here.
There is a restaurant across the street called, SALT. I think this place should not be called, RACKS and it should be called, THE SALTIEST. We won’t be coming back!!!!
Extremely rude hostess could not accommodate us to a shade outdoor table, although there were acceptable open tables
The lighting inside the restaurant has exposed bulbs and is very hard on the eyes
We asked to move to a darker corner without bright lights
Our server was fine with it but a little later he informed us that they would need the table by 4:30
Our reservation was for 3:30 and when we arrived the restaurant was was fairly empty
The meal was fair and my fish was over cooked
The presentation was unattractive
And then the price!
With tip I paid for 2 grilled fish with vegetables on the side and 1 regular margarita and 2 glasses of red wine
Plus tip $ 132
Definitely a don’t bother to go!
Racks is an open air restaurant which is always my preference.
The menu is unique, fish specials included locally caught cobia which is a personal favorite. The scallops were some of the best I've ever had. The waiter was knowledgeable and proud to share some of his favorites and I must admit his favorites were excellent picks.
Appetizers arrived 30 seconds before entrees. Received the wrong order - offered a dessert to make up for mistake. Bill came and we were charged the higher price special that we ordered (did not get) AND for the ‘complimentary’ dessert. This was our 10th visit to this restaurant (loved every prior visit) but most likely our last.
I was insulted that they charged $16.00 for a small margarita and then charged a service fee.
They gave switched plates with the table next to us.
Scallop were very salty..
Believe it or not I never complain about this but felt that I had to share my experience.
Like always! Food was amazing! Danny was our server for the night and he did a wonderful job! He recommended the best, most delicious, well presented, well executed sushi roll! It was moist, fresh, tasty, and overall and explosion of flavors (mount FuJi). For an appetizer we had the octopus and it was so tenders, so well cooked, charted to perfection, and the bean salad was just out of this world! For dinner we order the Florida snapper and it was amazing! A little salty but wow!! Really well cooked the gnocchi was amazing! Quality gnocchi is really hard to find and boy! They did a good job! Really blown away from this dishes we order!
We enjoyed our meal a lot the sushi is always on point! They need more waiters though our waiter was great however he wasn’t at his best covering so many tables. It took us almost 45 mins to put in an order for food.
Great crab cakes and himachii jalapeño. Octopus was fresh but needed some more flavor. Waiter was great, happy hour helped keep the prices very reasonable. Tables a little close together for our liking but hopefully won’t matter in a few months. Definitely going back
Server was kind of abrasive. I made reservations for 3 and they sat us at a 2 top
Our first time at this location and we will be back. The food was great, was served quickly and the waiters were attentive...
Good food and good service.
We love racks because it has such a wide variety menu. We can’t wait to go back and try some thing else everything is delicious. It’s fresh plentiful and very tasty.
Like always service was amazing -Anthony delivered beyond great service. We order Cobia for dinner with coliflor puré and it was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection. For appetizer we had the fried oysters and they were as always delicious. They finally brought their sushi back! And we loved the Montezuna, very well made, proportions were perfect! We also had the Dragun Roll—- lobster roll, that roll needs some work. Presentation was outstanding but the taste did not match the look, the lobster was delicious, well cooked easy to crack, yum... but the roll itself... I was expecting an explosion of flavors in my mouth. In all honesty sushi Jo North of the border is way better and way cheaper! But overall! It was delicious
Food was delicious. Service great. Had an issue with a poorly marked step. Edge should be painted bright yellow so it is visible.
Matt was a great waiter and really did an outstanding job. Oysters were small, smoked fish meh, but truffle parm fries were outstanding.
Exceptional meal, cocktails and service as well.
Super impressive, new sushi menu. The roll was spectacular.
Racks restaurants are always wonderful.
Manny gave us excellent service. Food quality and accuracy was spot on, as always. Highly recommend this restaurant !
Every time I come to Delray I love coming here! The food is fantastic and $1 oysters are definitely a huge bonus. The happy hour menu is filled of such delicious items I’ve never had anything I don’t like!!
Went for oysters and happy hour. It’s always a warm inviting environment, have great happy hour specials, amazing oysters and all of the servers are warm friendly and attentive! One of our favs on the ave
One of my all time favorite restaurants in Delray - consistently good. Whether you have a salad, sushi, fish, tacos, anything - it is all delicious! Have been going since it opened and have never had a bad meal! In fact - this past dinner was my birthday dinner and it was perfect. Thank you!
Best dirty martini. Love the calamari. Server was great.
Booths could be a bit bigger, personal a bit more attentive also after serving food. Otherwise nearly perfect place.
Horrible service. Loud. Noisy drunk people at the bar falling on our table. Food was awful
This is what I’m talking about. Fun, loud, great service and fantastic food. You will not be disappointed.
Waiter was ok
Great service. Pleasant servers. Excellent food, presentation and taste
