The Rabot Terrace brings the Saint Lucian party spirit to London this summer! The open-air dining space is a free spirit just like a Saint Lucian ‘jump-up’. A relaxing island get-together for drinks, food and music outdoors after sunset. Please specify a terrace booking in the special request box.
At heart of London’s most exciting food market, Rabot 1745 offers a ‘cacao cuisine’ menu featuring contemporary dishes influenced by the West Indies and Britain, with the savoury richness of cacao used as a subtle garnish, infusion and spice throughout.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing lunch on Saturday afternoon. We shared the chateaubriand, it was absolutely remarkable. We wouldn’t hesitate about coming back again.
Great food and service. Noisy due to outside table but didn't spoil the meal. We had dishes from the menu (not afternoon tea) which were fantastic. Loved the yorkshire pud starter and the avant garden. Looking forward to returning.
The menu offered a really nice change, we loved trying something different! The food was cooked perfectly and the service was very attentive. Set in a lovely location too. The only downside is when the bill comes, the credit card came in very handy! We let them know it was for a birthday and they made a special effort at desert to recognise this.
Very tasty food, great menu and lovely staff. Thank you!
Had the tartar, lobster and molten lava.
Food all very good, good service and relaxed atmosphere.
Once again, a very good meal and a genuine 'occasion'. Food and cocktails were excellent and it made a great celebration for my daughter's success with her A-levels. Outstanding service and great ambience.
Fantastic service and food worthy of eating! Thoroughly recommend the Yorkshire pudding for starter and anything for main with a side of white chocolate mash - it works!! Our waiter was superb, even gave our daughter a box of Hotel Chocolat chocs for her birthday! Will definitely return each trip to London!
Had to book a few weeks ahead to get a table that worked for me, so was a little surprised that it was so quiet (although it was a Wednesday). Great service interesting menu.
Always a reliable choice of venue to take visiting guests. Relaxed feel and great food. The pesto with the bread for starters was amazing and salt crusted lamb is my favourite to date. Service was well-timed and really friendly, wines were affordable and they went out of their way to make my mum and dad feel very special on their anniversary. Thanks to Pavel !!
Mrs really enjoyed herself, services was fantastic and sitting above Borough Market is always a pleasure.
A very different afternoon tea experienced to the very samey afternoon teas you get in the hotels
Service was great
Located within the bustle of borough market though trains going by can be irritating
Excellent food & great service.....up until the 45min wait for dessert and then another 20mins waiting for the bill.
We had a red letter day experience - three courses from a wide and varied set menu. The food was amazing - different, tasty and beautifully presented. We had great service from all the staff and our waiter in particular was very attentive and ensured that we were well looked after. We sat on the first floor open terrace overlooking the market - a great setting and a little different. Would thoroughly recommend.
Had the 3 course set lunch, food was amazing, great service and would highly recommend hotel rabot.
Nice to try somewhere different, food was nice but expensive for what you receive. Staff lovely.
Food was outstanding and very original
Borough market was in the process of clearing away at the time so ambience was unfortunately not great but at any other time it day, we dined late on a Saturday evening, I have no doubt it would be lovely. Staff were very professional and courteous. Would definitely return as we didn’t get close to trying everything we wanted on the menu.
The food was beautifully presented and delicious, service was excellent and the attention to detail was without fault. We had enjoyed the buzz of Borough Market prior to sitting down to eat but unfortunately we chose to eat on the terrace where the road sweeper continued to very noisily clean the area underneath where we were seated for what seemed like an age! We would certainly recomend this restaurant for a very different dining experience - we loved it!
My friend and I would have liked the starter we had as a main course and wondered if you had plans to do this (Yorkshire pudding with white chocolate mash and beef).
Overall we had a lovely meal. The cocktails were delicious (in fact we spent more on them than on food!!)
Have been for afternoon tea to you before and have recommended it to numerous friends. One has in fact booked lunch with you and one has definitely booked afternoon tea with you and think the rest will soon follow.
Quite difficult to find though as rather tucked out of the way
within Borough Market. Frontage sign perhaps not bold enough.?
Will definitely be back.
I booked a table for a special occasion (for business) and it was outstanding. All our guests had nothing but glowing reviews and I wouldn't hesistate to recomend Rabot 1745 for any occasion - Wonderful!
It was as good as we expected and we will rerun and so will our friends. Every mouthful was a delight
Not cheap but worth every penny, a little gem of a place
Would recommend every chocolate lover pay Rabot 1745 a visit, the food is amazing, well presented and a fantastic location. Exceptional service with polite friendly staff. We will be returning again very soon to try another selection from the outstanding menu.
Food and service were both amazing! We sat outside overlooking the market and it was lovely
I'd be happy to recommend Rabot 1745. The service was excellent - attentive without being overbearing, and the food arrived in good time. The pink cocktail my wife had was enjoyed greatly, while the porter beer I had was delicious. My wife had the burger, which I had last time and is a big step above what you would expect. I had the lobster which was, simply, heaven on a plate. This was a pre-theatre dinner before, ironically, a show at the Menier Chocolate Factory! Thank you all for a wonderful time!
Great ambience with the outdoor terrace but covered within borough market area. Interesting cocoa themed menu.
The food come really slow..arrived 7.30 only finished at 10 pm. Got scallops for starter and cold soup is not bad,the 24 hours cooked beef and lobster tail both overly cooked and dry..not impressed. But good service . Ambience is ok..price is £££ .
We visited this restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and had a lovely evening. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. You do hear the trains and the buzz from the market below but we felt that added to the ambiance. We will definitely visit again.
This place is a little Gem, The staff are all very friendly and helpful, The food was delicious. I had a vegan starter and main course and both were very well presented and tasted delicious. My partner had carnivorous options and they were equally lovely although he wasn't entirely convinced about the chocolate sauce with the chips. Very lovely place, good wines, great food and lovely staff all at a very reasonable price. will definitely be back.
Great venue tucked in nicely above Borough Market. We decided to sit on the terrace as the seating area inside seemed to have a number of annoying flies hovering around. I’m glad we did, the historic setting of the market surrounds you as you watch London life pass you by. The food and service was 5*
Really lovely evening here, fantastic really tasty food, extremely attentive service and lovely ambience on the outside terrace within Borough Market, highly recommended!
Such a lovely and hospitable experience. The food was very delectable, it was quite exciting to know that everything had been infused with chocolate one way or another. The service was prompt and after we had finished we could lounge around drinking MORE scrumptious hot chocolate. My friend and I had the best time - love Hotel Chocolat and eat nothing else when it comes to chocolate. Yum
Almost spoiled by noisy children in main restaurant uncontrolled by parents. I think the manager should have spoken to the parents otherwise you risk losing other diners. Had the family not left fairly soon I'm afraid we would have done.
Fun location and a great quirky cacao themed menu of delicious food. Service can be slow, better for a day when you have no time pressure. A lovely fun vibe for a catch up with friends.
With chocolate in every course ... even the bread, which sort of works well; but seriously over-did the salt on the starter which was a bit minimalist. Service relatively mediocre.
The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. The food was delicious without being overly chocolates. A really enjoyable experience for a special occasion.
Overall very good. A bit noisy due to the Borough Market (bin lorries emptying). Food was far too salty.
Great value, amazing deserts. Thanks to the friendly staff
Food was lovely and the waiter who served us was very friendly and professional. Woukd definitely come back again.
Great for the atmosphere, breakfast was not as good value as expected. Better off with pastries and hot chocolate or coffee from downstairs rather than the breakfast in the restaurant.
Food, drinks and service were all fabulous. Definitely recommend. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Great drink choices and the restaurant very comfortable and clean.
I will return and thoroughly recommend. Lovely staff helped make our evening memorable.
