I haven’t been to RA in awhile. I used to like their sushi but it looks like they’re trying to branch out to offering more variety of foods. The sushi was terrible and ridiculously overpriced. Our waiter could not answer our questions about sushi rolls (if you don’t know, find out) and our order was completely wrong. This was a birthday celebration and was very disappointing. We will never go back.

I’m a regular here and the bartender Michael was a nightmare tonight. He was being snippy with bar patrons yelling at his coworkers and the manager. Very inappropriate behavior from him and he seemed a bit intoxicated. Never saw him drink tonight, and I have seen him taking shots with bar guests before. He was just moody and miserable, left a bad taste.

The food was great, however, some of the portions for the price did not make sense (see Ceviche for details). The server was also wonderful, however, there wasn’t enough personalized service for our taste; and he was unfortunately very rushed due to the amount of tables he was serving at once. He anticipated the need about five minutes later than expected on: refills, the bite check-in once the food hit the table, and finally, the check. All in all: energetic atmosphere with fun music and yummy food, but the establishment’s overall cleanliness and sense of urgency for service was missing. Cleanliness: floors are covered in a cleaner clearly not meant for the flooring. amount of plugs in restroom were bothersome Service: Bar tickets covered the service counter making it look disheveled and only made worse by the dying drinks waiting to be served. Watched three drinks get served about ten minutes after they were made…it was painful to watch coming from the service industry. The bartenders at the time weren’t doing anything and could have ran the libations out as a courtesy to not only their coworkers, but the patrons. …They do work on tips, right? Anyway, I give the overall experience a 6 out of 10.

Our service was great! We sat outside and there was a concert going on in the public park around the corner. We could hear the music but it wasn’t too loud- great atmosphere. Our waitress apologized several times for taking too long to get to us but we didn’t notice there was any delay. This was a great spot- I’ll be back!

Went for Mother’s Day. The service was terrible. Food was ok but the sever had to be asked to bring out silverware (napkins and chopsticks), had to be asked to bring plates for our appetizers, had to be asked to bring soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. Food took a very long time to come out. It wasn’t terribly busy for being middle of the afternoon on Mother’s Day so no excuse for the lousy service. Very disappointed and likely won’t be back for a while. There are better sushi places in KC for the price point.

Overall, really nice experience. Sushi was good and so was the hibachi! The only downside was that it took an extraordinary long time to bring the hibachi out which resulted in us eating our meals at seperate times (it took almost 30 additional minutes for the hibachi to come out).
