Went here for our Anniversary and the experience was great! Best tacos I’ve ever had, and delicious options for drinks.
We sat on time and the waitress for our table was excellent.
We went before the plaza lighting on Thanksgiving and we had an awesome waiter and great service!
This place literally has the best margaritas that I've ever had in my life, and they never disappoint (get the seasonal infusion when it's available)! Food is amazing, and prices are reasonable. This is all not to mention the top-notch service.
Great good...great atmosphere but the service made our experience wonderful!
Dinner for 4, Mercedes was our server and she was fun and informative, really set the tone.
Try the Terrorized Carrots if you like candied yams.
Lots of tequila choices.
No little kids so that was great.
Great service and great food! Highly recommend the salsa trio and chicken divorciadas.
Food was great, server was polite, but wait time was unacceptable - we came during lunch when it was fairly empty but waited almost an hour for our food.
The food was good but it was 48 minutes from the time we were sat to when our first drink came. One appetizer came 15 minutes after our food arrived and the second appetizer finally arrived as we were asking for boxes.
Great facility but poor execution by the staff.
Food was excellent. Bartenders were great also. Waiter was just ok. But overall a beautiful space. I’ll be back!
The waiter was pleasant and fun. The food was very tasty and I loved the guac.
Seemed a little chaotic. Maybe short staffed. Our bartender admitted that he was sick so it was understandable why things were moving at a slower pace. Poor guy. But the food was great.
We adored our server. I don’t remember her name unfortunately but she was working outside on Sunday. She had dark hair and her septum was pierced. She was so lovely! I had the heuvos rancheros y carne. They were good, whatever the verde sauce was, that was very tasty. I do wish I could have picked how I like my eggs cooked as I hate sunny side up. Overall I would come back again, but try something else!
I went to lunch and it wasn't very crowded but the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. They have a nice outdoor seating and it's covered. I definitely plan to go back
Really bad service it was our first time it was my son bday i didn't even bother to tell the waitress she only came 2 times to our table to bring drinks take order and bring the food we were sitting there for 20 minutes until a waitress came then 30 minutes no drinks refills and it was not busy for us to say the was the excuse !!
We waited over 5 minutes at the host stand. We had a reservation for 7pm. No one showed up to seat us. We walked over to the bar area as there was no one sitting in the restaurant part. The bar staff saw is standing there but didn’t come over. They sat us (2 people) at a 6 top (kind of weird). Food was good. Our waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes right when we were ready to leave- had to flag down someone else to get the bill. She finally showed up when we walked out. Overall, wouldn’t go there again due to bad service. Guessing this place will close soon as it was pretty empty.
Server didn’t remove any plates from table-even after apps we had 3 people and table was full of plates
The food is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. It is so light and healthy and delicious!!!
We had a pleasant evening. Food was excellent.
Everyone seemed to like it, but my enchilada trio dish was genuinely bad. I couldn’t eat it. However, the potato side, queso, and salsa were all great. Drinks were heavy mixer and forgettable. For the record — this is the only Mexican food I’ve ever not liked.
Terrible dining experience! It took 45 minutes to get our drinks and and an hour for our Queso Fundido appetizer which had good flavor but was very watery. We had no napkins or silverware. I tried the empanadas which had a terrible raw onion flavor and only ate two bites. Our waiter snatched up the near full plate and never said a word about why the food was not eaten. I tried to special order margaritas but they were out of all of the most popular tequilas. The El Jeffe margaritas were very good and I ordered a Tequila flight of Patron with sangrita which made the evening seem better. I have eaten at Zocalos for many years and had been pleased but this experience was very bad!
wedding weekend dinner!
I have been to brunch at Zocalo twice in a month and this last experience wasn’t the best. Mimosas were room temperature at best, potatoes in the breakfast burrito weren’t cook throughly and the service was subpar. When I visited on 8/22, I had a much better experience.
First time eating there and the food overall was very good.
HORRIBLE service. The food was good, but only after another waitress brought us our food. Our appetizer came after our meal. When we tried to pay, our waitress ignored us for 20 minutes until she asked another waitress to get our bill. Will never go back again & do not recommend.
Service was super slow. My frozen margarita wasn’t frozen - asked for a new one , came out the same , then they still charged me for both . Another drink we ordered never came until way into the meal . The waitress was trying but not to professional - complaining about what they did and didn’t have- then apologized way over kill . It appeared she wasn’t focused or attentive to nothing we were requesting . I know these are tough times for getting good help- but every aspect of this restaurant has went down hill fast .
Food great. Service was awful. Server was unpleasant.
Food and server were great… but clearly short staffed and ran out of clean plates and silverware. Will definitely head back again to take another shot despite the hiccups.
The service was horrible. Hair ( lots of it) came with our chips when I pointed it nothing was done. The waitress forgot to get our order and confused why our meal hadn’t shown up. Also she was the most unfriendly it felt like we were inconveniencing her.
Food was amazing. Service not great. The food took forever to come even though the restaurant wasn’t at max capacity. The appetizer came with the entrees as well.
Our server was awesome, but the food didn't quite seem worth the money.
Price point is good. Their margaritas and choice in Tequilla is great. However the food was good, but unfortunately I won't return
Save your money. The food was not authentic, mediocre to say the least. And the service was horrible. I lost count of how many times I had to flag down our waiter. When he did show up he’d move a snail speed. Had to wait 10 minutes for a spoon. C’mon!!
The restaurant wasn’t clean either. So much trash and food on the floor. The sidewalk outside looked cleaner than the restaurant floor. Not would you would expect from a restaurant on the Plaza. Definitely would not return or recommend.
Our waitress, Megan, was amazing in the bar/high top seating that morning. She was a joy to have!
This is one of my favorite restaurants but the service is so slow and the staff sit around at the bar talking to each other rather than getting food and drinks to tables quickly… instead of an hour brunch it always takes 2 - 2.5 hours. Food and drinks are always good though
Everything from food to service was awesome! Love the terrorized carrots and everything else we had including the sangria!
Our server, Marsalis was outstanding.
it was fine not the best food was just okay and our server was weird and awkward and seemed like she didn’t know how to go her job
The service was AWFUL!!!! We waited for a server, then for drinks, then for our server again, and again, and again. Our server was the only one in our area taking care of numerous tables, however there were other staff members all over the place not doing anything!!!! We were there almost 90 min. Over half of that was waiting for something/someone! Not the experience we were hoping for on the Plaza. Very disappointing.
