   We took our granddaughters age 7 and 9 before going to a matinee. Children's menu was perfect for them except the make your own ice cream dessert couldn't be ordered, as sprinkles out of stock. However they were happy with 2 flavours of ice cream.

   I love the fact that the tables are not too close and you can sit and talk normally without a need to shout. Service is great: our waiter even charged our phones! The place is very close to the Theatres, so would be perfect for pre or post theatre meal. Food is good quality: I love their salads - very healthy and good size portions, wine is good as well. You know what to expect and it never disappoints. Great value too!

   Good selection of dishes - the usual pizza/pasta but additional specials that included a delicious tiramisu sundae. Nice ambiance for a national chain - more character than some. Efficient service but we visited just after the normal lunch time so quite quiet

   I booked a table for 6 people for 17:30hrs as a pre-theatre meal venue for some of our choir going to see The Bodyguard at the Adelphi Theatre across the road from Zizzi's. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & it was a good bottle of red wine. The staff were friendly & made us feel very welcome. The food came promptly.

   I love Zizzis & find any excuse to got there so booked the Strand before going to the theatre last week.We were seated quickly & our order taken in under 5 minutes. However we then proceeded to wait for our food for 40 minutes. This was worrying as we had asked for starters & mains so we asked our waitress just to bring everything as close together as possible. A few minutes later our mains arrived. My partner had a pizza and really liked it and i had the steak salad.I had the steak salad before & loved it but this time the steak was barely cooked, it was cold and very grizzly, as we did not have time to send it back i choked down what i could. Mid way through mains our piping hot starter arrived, very confusing!All in all not a good visit.

   Food was fair. Our waitress was very miserable but the duty manager who corrected our mains order was excellent throughout. She saved this review from a one star (forgot her name sorry).

   Despite the restaurant being empty when we arrived, the allocated seat was next to a coat stand-not very comfortable!

    This Zizzi is downstairs and I have seen it packed at lunchtimes. Our visit was at 2.30pm and not very busy which we wanted. We chose the smaller version of the pizza with light white wine (useful carafe if you want a large glass but not a whole bottle for two). We added in a starter to share at the same time and were completely satisfied. Place is bright and cheerful despite being in the depths and in fact after the hustle and bustle outside, this is very relaxing. I expect this was my fourth visit and when in town, I will certainly visit again.
