Zinqué - San Diego
Pretty great experience and safe all around during COVID times. Our server was welcoming and friendly all around. We will be going back for sure!
Ugh. Guess that is how I felt. Understaffed and underwhelming menu options. If you are a tourist or desperate then go for it.
Great server in Chloe, wonderful GM, Ricardo and great service by Lory as well! One of the best restaurants in Little Italy on Kettner. We will definitely be regulars!
the setup was great, but I was surprised at the level of construction that was going on a Saturday. Aside from the sound it was great!
Brunch was delish. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. I will be back!
Our burrata and watermelon salad was delicious and perfect for two people. Our waiter appeared to be under the influence of something. While taking our order he burped twice under the mask, he was not attentive as he seemed to be busy chatting with his friends who were seated nearby. There were a large group gathering (more than 6 people) just next to our table and not one person was wearing a mask. They were just standing there and chatting and no one from the restaurant asked these people to move away as they were right next to our table, restaurant patrons. It was so uncomfortable that we had to stop eating and put our mask on until they’ve decided to move on. Finally we had to ask for a bill three times and when I mentioned that it was the third time that I’ve been asking for a bill our waiter seemed to be annoyed with me. Overall ok food and terrible service.
First of foremost, the service was outstanding: incredibly attentive and friendly hosts and servers. Everything we wanted or needed was offered. The problem was the food: everything we ordered lacked flavor. We thought adding salt would help. It didn't. Everything was just "eh". Their chimichurri, my favorite sauce, is mostly vinegar when it should be mostly oil. I had to go searching for the parsley in it. Maybe a great place for drinks, but not the food. And it can get very noisy there.
amazing place & food.
It took us 45 minutes to get our steak and fries. The steak was ordered medium but arrived “well” done. No seasoning, completely unflavored, disguising. By the time it came out I had requested we get the check so we could leave because the waiter kept coming back surprised that the the food had arrived yet. By the second time he told me he would check on it in the kitchen I told him to just bring the check so we could leave. They compensated our entire bill. Also the mushroom flatbread we got as an appetizer was soggy and disgusting. Their drinks were fabulous though.
When one has soft eggs on the menu, they should be served that way. No luck, twice. I would take that off of the menu. I would also take off the toast. The best toast was actually in the soft eggs meal. That was anA plus! I was very disappointed with the service considering there was almost no one there. Won’t come back unless something dramatically changes.
Great and prompt service.
Food was normal, nothing spectacular.
Good atmosphere- Very good drinks.
This was my second experience at Zinque. The first time was absolutely amazing. The staff was very attentive and quick. Ricardo was absolutely amazing and treated my friend and I with much consideration and professionalism. However, the most recent time I went, there was only one waiter waiting on all the tables (5-6 tables at least) and the service was very slow. For having people in town, this was not necessarily the vibe I wanted to give off to them. I will not have this experience dictate my entire feel of Zinque but was rather upset that this time was VASTLY different than the first time I went which was AMAZING. So at the end of the day, I have mixed reviews.
First time here tonight and it was for our 5yr anniversary. Chloe and Jose are the best duo. From cocktails to apps to dinner and 2 bottles of wine, by far extraordinary service. We will always be back for the duo.
Amazing service, great food. Timely, delicious, friendly - all the good stuff in one!
Viva Zinque San Diego! Love it! It was vibrant, so wonderful to spent my Birthday Celebration with my Family! Love everything about it! Great Staff and special mention to Chloe our charming server! That's why ZInque is one of the best and top restaurants in San Diego, great choice! Thanks a lot!
A good outdoor setting without a lot of foot traffic next to your table. Food selections were great. We ordered a number of small plates to sample for our party of 6.
I love this place. We've been here 4 or 5 times now and always think I need to come back. The Francaise is an outstanding cocktail. The Tuna Tartare Tartine Poilâne bread is really delicious and even enjoyed by non raw fish eaters. The chicken can easily serve 2 and the Quiches are delicious! The manager and wait staff are very attentive and check in with you. They forgot my cocktail on the first go around but the manager saw this and comped
me the drink. Just little things that make you want to go back and give them business.
Celebrating my guy’s 41st. Lots of fun. Great Aperol Speitzers.
The deviled eggs were to-die-for and the steak+frites hit the spot! Would definitely return. It was very noisy on the patio to eat, but it was a fun energetic atmosphere.
I was trying a new restaurant and i had looked at their menu online and had seen a yummy looking chartuterie board that was huge with various meats, cheeses, fruits and nuts and thought that paired with a nice wine it would be great and i was excited to try. in fact, there are tons of pics of this appetizer online as it was super popular but when i got there and ordered it there were only a few pieces of cheese and meats only, no nuts or fruits and not the variety of cheese i had seen. when i mentioned that it wasn’t the same thing on their menu the server told me they had recently changed it. She asked what was missing and i related the fruit and nuts and she was nice enough and said i’ll go ask..... and came back with the tiniest little plastic cup with about 10 grapes but what really bugged me was that she said jokingly “there are your precious grapes” . Now, I’m the kind of person that tries not to sweat the small stuff so i just chuckled along but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Bottom line .... spent over $200 for an appetizer, 2 entrees 1 glass of wine and a few beers and while it was not disgusting it definitely wasn’t very good either.
The food was amazing the service was absolutely terrible, one of the worst service I’ve had in a while
We were visiting San Diego for the weekend, and stumbled upon Zinqué. We had the Zucchini Egg White Frittata Plate with pesto prosciutto and the Brioche French Toast for brunch. A cappuccino and Bloody Mary to wash it all down. Everything was AMAZING!!! The service was excellent! Will definitely return!!
Service/Staff was great!
Ricardo the Manager was nothing but Great! I will be back! ;)
We arrived late, around 9:30, and were the last ones seated with only two other tables being served. That said, the server never once made us feel rushed, rather served us with enthusiasm and let my fiance and I enjoy our night out. The wine was perfect and the food was impeccable.
Great food and cocktails. The chicken, and Quiche Lorraine were excellent. Don't miss the Tuna Tartine. Unbelievable
Awesome happy hour spot, fantastic cocktails, food and service! Highly recommend!
Me and my family loved. The fun part was that our waitress spoke French which we we are fluent in so it was nice.
Zinque is super cute and has a great variety food! So far I've tried their brunch and dinner menu and have not been disappointed. Their staff was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. Definitely eating here again!
The drinks were really good but basically all ice, when you took the large ice cube out the drink was less than half full, so I would definitely say overpriced for the amount of alcohol you are actually getting, but they did taste good
We loved this restaurant! They did a wonderful job social distancing guests and employees all while making us feel like we had servers dedicated to our needs. The burrata was amazing! The rotisserie chicken was so moist and perfectly cooked. Not only did we get the fire place turned on for us but we were also given blankets to get cozy.
Food was good. Service was mediocre. Love the ambiance. I would return to try different menu items.
Good food and good service. Would definitely go back!
Great drinks! Great service! Love the flat breads.
exceeded expectations. dinner and the service was amazing. my wife and i will be back for sure.
Casey was very attentive and friendly. She made recommendations which we chose. The pesto ahi was beyond tasty. Will definitely come back for this. We went for a leisurely Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
We had such a good time! The food was awesome, and the service was great!
Great atmosphere and ambiance. There are a lot of drink and food options and great service. The food is a bit pricey for the quality, but overall it was a good experience.
It was everything I expected and more!
