Zinqué - San Diego
Nice blend of different regions cuisine, not too French, some Meditteranean in the mix , even Italian seeks it's way in there a bit...Overall lovely experience.
Loved the food and the waitress made it special for my partner and I. Tartines were great as was my steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare. We’ll make it a regular stop
Went here late on a Sunday. Loved that it was away from the Little Italy madness (you can ACTUALLY find parking nearby). I strongly recommend “Le bowl”. It’s healthy and delicious. The waitress was very delightful.
What a pleasant surprise - we loved our dinner experience - great service, wonderful beer, awesome Happy Hour and beyond selections - the tuna tartare was out of this world as was the mushroom flatbread and the little sausages and my burger one of the best in a long time - would definitely go back ...
Best new restaurant in Little Italy!
The Salmon dish is incredible. So much flavor.
The whole menu is very well priced, including the extensive wine list. Lots of French and Italian wines are reasonable prices.
Will be back for brunch as I heard it is amazing.
Wish I lived in Little Italy.
After reading the reviews we decided to dine at Zinque with a group of 5 friends. That was the best decision.
I think we tried most of their dishes and none disappointed.
The wine list is exceptional, so different than anything else in San Diego. Huge selection of wine by the glass and exceptionally priced. Will have to come back for the HH as they have $4 off all glasses of wine!
The space is beautiful and the service was very friendly.
So delicious. We had the branding and the moules-frites.
The quality of the food is unbelievable, especially at those prices. Much better and fresher food than all the other restaurants in Little Italy.
Happy Hour is AMAZING!
$5 Off all cocktails, wow! The food is great too. New favorite restaurant in San Diego
Food was awful! Nothing about it was good, dry- flavorless
Service was nice but incredibly slow. Maybe it was an off night, but my steak came out very rare and everything just took a very long time. Maybe would try again when they are less busy.
Poilane bread flown in from Paris in the Tartines. Overall, very good quality
Went there during San Diego restaurant week. The location in Little Italy is lively and this restaurant fits that vibe. My wife and I started with cocktails, she had a La Mande (spicy tequila? drink), and I had a glass of sangria. We shared a salad and flatbread, both of which were pretty basic. By basic, I want to be clear--the items were freshly prepared with tasty ingredients, but the dishes were not particularly creative.
For our entrees, I opted for the mussels & fries, my wife chose the steak & fries. Again, the preparation was tasty but not particularly creative. It occurred to us after my wife's plate arrived that the waiter hadn't asked about my wife's preferred steak temperature. While we generally prefer medium rare, the steak was prepared more rare than our liking. Cheerfully, the server took it back and cooked it a little longer.
Dessert was the highlight of the dinner. I had the fruit crumble, a warm berry preparation covered with a sweetened crumble topped with vanilla ice cream. It was excellent. My wife ordered the cheese plate.
In all, our experience was a positive one. The menu is familiar and the dishes are prepared well. There is a nice variety of cocktails, beers and wines. The ambience is upscale yet comfortable and accessible. This is the kind of place I would recommended for my Millennial /Gen Z family members.
Food was great, atmosphere was excellent. I would definitely go back again.
Slow service. Mediocre food.
Great place, love the setup, cozy in and out doors. The drinks are really good, the food is great and have a lot of healthy choices and love the great customer service. Everyone is very nice and pleasant. Fast service and just great place to be, highly recommend.
Does not get better than this!
So fresh, so flavorful for very reasonable prices. Try Le Bowl, it's amazing! I have had it 3 times for lunch, every time with a different protein.
The barista in the morning makes the best coffees in Little Italy and the bartenders at night are amazing and super knowledgeable about all spirits. It is a mystery why this restaurant is not packed all day and every day. But it won't last.
By far the best new restaurant in Little Italy. We work across and been there twice for dinner, 3 times for lunch and once for brunch already ;-)
Every time it was absolutely amazing. Very eclectic menu, reasonable prices, very different than any other option in Little Italy. The space is beautiful, the wine list very well priced and the cocktails delicious.
Way overpriced for what you get. It was also dead at 8pm on a Saturday .
To be honest, some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Very disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary so we didn’t want to ruin our night by complaining but we regret not sending every dish back. We both got to the car and were like why did we just pay $100 for tasteless “dishes”?
Had a reservation last night at 7 pm. Received multiple confirmations from open table for the reservation
The restaurant was closed when we arrived
I brought some picky folks with me and everyone had a great meal and we are all excited to come back and try more!!!
Food was amazing! Service was quick too. The chairs need a little fixing and bring your readers for the menu.
This is a trendy looking casual French restaurant with decent food and good service. Great outdoor seating with heaters. I recommend this restaurant for a fun dinner night out.
Went twice. Best brunch in San Diego! And dinner was amazing as well. Not sure what they are doing to this brioche French toast, but it is like crack.
Had the amazing steak frites with peppercorn sauce for diner.
Everything is very well priced. From the food to the cocktails, to the very affordable wine list! Our new spot in Little Italy!
The food was tasty. But the presentation was lacking. Just a few shrimp thrown on a plate with a lemon slice. They were very tasty but. Expensive for small plates
As with many new places, Zinqué needs to find its soul. Overall nothing to write home about. I will unlikely go there again until they find their groove.
Disappointing. I was served cold, dry mussels with no broth. I sent it back and didn’t order anything else - mainly because the waiter never returned to take my order. The service was subpar. Wouldn’t recommend.
Service was extremely slow and not helpful at all. Server acted like we were an inconvenience and didn’t ask how anything was or if we needed anything else. He overcharged us for dessert and when we pointed it out, he logged it as a “customer complaint” when really I was not complaining I was simply pointing out an error on their end. Food was tasty but overpriced. LA prices, but we are not in LA... We will not be back.
Good new spot in Little Italy. Good review here as we are on their very first weekend - kind of expecting new restaurant issues. But there were none! Nice casual ambience and food was quite yummy. Dinner menu not super French - lunch menu looked like there are more French dishes.
Thrilled to have Zinqué in the neighborhood. Everything was delicious and the space is beautiful. Excellent happy hour too!
What a great addition to Little Italy! The space is absolutely beautiful, with a nice patio. Best spicy margarita in town. We shared a tomato-avocado Tartine, the steak frites, and the branzino.
Everything was stellar. We will be back for lunch/brunch
