Ordered 2 burgers and a Branzino. The burgers came out pretty quickly but unfortunately, we were both done eating them before the fish finally came out! It was good, according to my husband, but I wish they would have timed everything so that we could have all eaten at about the same time! Good place though and the servers are all very friendly!
The food was decent but the poor service from the girl who was hostess and serves ruined the whole experience. She was rude, never checked on our table and had an attitude when presented with questions about food items.
Terrible experience. Wouldn’t go here again. Burger was very average, steak was ok. But service was awful. Wait staff ranged from clueless to lackadaisical to too cool for school. Incorrectly delivered one of our appetizers to another table & never told us. Forget to enter one of our meals. All mains arrived at different times. After delivering forgotten meal, meat was border line raw. We were comped part of meal, but it didn’t matter at that point.
Loved the food, our server was very nice but the service was rather slow (not because it was busy... but because they were texting. For what the food was it was overpriced. We enjoyed our cocktails and felt those were a good price for what they were.
Unfortunately they were out of a lot of entrees from a busy weekend before otherwise the food was excellent
Amazing meal. Steak Frites and Salami Toasts were amazing. Will be re-attending in LA.
This was no more Asian or french fusion cuisine than your neighborhood pub.
We have been here a couple times, and unfortunately this time was not fun. Prior to Covid it was fun and vibrant, now they seem to be short staffed. The food is wonderful, the area is great. It is a French inspired restaurant which is cool in Little Italy. It just seems to have lost its luster. I won't be rushing back.
No lo recomiendo. Tardaron en servir, la música muy alta y sin respetar las normas. Un precio muy elevado
We are locals who have frequented the one in Newport Beach in numerous occasions and keep going back as we love it! We were excited to see that we actually had one in San Diego and so decided to try it. Well read the reviews as they are 100% accurate. They were out of 3 dishes that we requested... never happened to me before and it not like it was a fish or.a steak that was on special , it was all their quiiches and frittatas. Service was super slow..... but we were with friends and did enjoy not being pushed out either!
Having said all of that, it still hasn’t dampened our love for this chain, but may be we won’t come to this location again!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the breakfast here is! Such a wide menu and everything was solid.
Wonderful food and service. We really enjoyed ourselves, a nice quiet breakfast with my daughters
service was great and the ambiance was super cute!!! Not crowded at all compared to all the other places in little italy
Such a cute trendy spot for signature cocktails and the tuna tartar Tartine is the BEST I’ve ever tried.
Great restaurant. Came here for a first date. Staff and ambiance did not disappoint!
The food wasn't that great honestly. There are much better French restaurants in San Diego. The flavorings weren't that nuanced or interesting. There ratatouille was a big lump of eggplant, the moules seasoning was bland, the tuna tartare was overwhelmed with big clumps of grapefruit. The cocktail for the price was unidimensional. It wasn't a disaster but meh.
It's a very airy restaurant and we felt very safe and comfortable eating in doors. It was about 3/4 full at 6:30pm on Mother's day. I think they were short on wait staff, but we felt very cared for and everyone on the floor (including the bartender) waited on us at one time or another.
We started with the Smoked Salmon Tartine and each had a glass of Sangria. Both were great. My wife exclaimed "Best Sangria I've ever had". The tartine had great flavor, texture and appearance. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the steak-frites with pepper-corn sauce. We each thought our dish was wonderful and also enjoyed our bites of each other's main course. We skipped dessert, but had a great time and will likely return some day.
Don’t expect great service. Not sure if they were just understaffed but the prior reviews mention the same so I’m guessing this is a known issue. Waiter not great at multi tasking. Took our order then some time later came back and told us they were out of fish!
Not COVID safe as well. Quite a few employees had masks but didn’t cover their nose or mouth. Saw the waiter clear a table of plates after the party left and didn’t wipe the table down.
Whatever food we ordered was good so that was positive. But the rest mentioned above just sours the whole dining experience. Not sure this business will last if this continues which would be a shame since these are relatively easy fixes.
KC is awesome!! Yummy food..moules frites are the bomb. Everything else was great and our server KC is the coolest
Just ok food and service takes long.
We always get the tuna tartare terrine w/pesto, always sooo good ! We tried the pate and it is a new fav ! We also had a quiche and a flat bread, both were great. The flat bread is really really thin so I loved. Happy hour is a bonus 🤩
reservations did nothing stuck waiting 20 minutes to be seated; then another 30 before ordering
Really enjoyed the brunch options here. Their croque madame was so great as well as the lavender oat milk honey latte. I like that at 11 am you can choose from lunch or breakfast options. Excellent place!
Love this place...feels like I am back in Paris...Casey, Faith, Steven and Trevor are all wonderful!
Food was delicious!!! And service was pretty good too. Great spot! Will be back for sure
Worst service ever. I gave it 2 trys now. I will not return.
Super amazing had the best waiter good chill vibe! Be prepared to Uber or walk though parking is nurs
Got my food and it was wrong but our server was super nice and didn’t hesitate to fix it for me. We told him we had to get to work and he was super great at getting us out of there on time. Service was great and the food tasted amazing
I made the mistake to follow the reviews here - neighborhood gem etc.; here is my story: Restaurant was about 15/20% full - if at all. The staff was a younger crowd, and definitely unexperienced. After asking us if we’d be okay to receive the food as it’s ready, we said no; all together would be nice as we had a family dinner. I ordered explicitly a quiche with mixed greens, as healthy as possible. No fries. First arrived my wife’s dinner, which was good. Then for 30’ nothing anymore. After the usual back and forth with the waitress - the quiche needs time in the oven (yeah right..) a plate full with French fries and a quiche arrives. Telling the waitress that I had ordered mixed greens, I was told I should keep it, they will send greens later. I said I don’t want a plate full with French fries as my dinner, she said that it would be for free, no charge. I insisted to get my plate as ordered and it finally came after good 40’ of waiting correct. Quiche was soso, mixed greens from Costco. At least they took it off the bill. At the end, an evening wasted during spring break. Don’t go there, there are far better places in SD.
More for casual dining, chairs uncomfortable, noisy corner, drafty outside, food just ok.
Great wine selection and even better food options. Made reservations on OpenTable with ease. Ordered the Grilled shrimp which was cooked and spiced perfectly. The must order is the Tuna Tartare Tartine! I didn't think adding pesto would be a game changer, but it definitely did, also to mention the high quality of the tuna and how great the poilane bread was. Washed everything down with the Orogeny, Russian River Valley Chardonnay which has a perfect blend of peach, pineapple and pears. Finished with a glass of the Malbec Mi Terruño, Mendoza, Argentina which was smokey and fruity.
Definitely need to come back for weekday happy hour! Thanks again for a great dining experince.
Great spot, sat at the couches by the fireplace, had the breakfast burrito which was delicious! Definitely recommend this place.
The food was amazing, we will definitely be coming back. The only thing I didn’t like was that our reservation was for 7pm and as soon as we were seated we were told the restaurant was closing at 8 as the electricity would be going out/turned off. I would have liked to have been notified prior to the reservation so I could move the time to an earlier time or rescheduled for another day. The hostess said the restaurant was made aware of the closing the day before leaving ample time to notify the later reservations. We went as an early birthday/anniversary/date night dinner and felt rushed to be out by 8.
Marvelous place. Interesting food and drinks, interesting space, great ambience sitting open to the sidewalk. Service was friendly and informative!
I love this place. The service and the food rock!!
Nice Location, Nice ambiance, missing a couple of items on their menu which was a pain, but overall pretty good
Loved going to zinque the cocktails and food is always superb. This was my third time. Our waiter was very generous and full of recommendations and great attitude. Some of the other staff is not very friendly. That is my only gripe about this place. It’s a hit or miss with staff. Some are excellent at customer service others are just there to collect a paycheck. Overall I will continue to visit because the food and ambiance are perfect.
Slow un attentive staff in an empty restaurant.... there are much better options throughout the area...
Food came all at once - appetizers and main plates together. Sent back the entrees until we were done with appetizers then were double charged for entrees. Brussels sprouts still raw and could not eat as they were oversized. Mis charged my $76 btl wine and charged $150 - watch you check in the end as the double charged items thy were removed still get factored into your gratuity. Food was good in flavors, server good, runners not so good.
Tried ordering the beef carpaccio. They sold out the day prior and our waiter either wasn’t aware of it or forgot. We order over priced deviled eggs; 1.5 eggs for $10. The egg whites were rubbery and the yolk filing was under seasoned. The potato chip had the strongest flavor.
Quiche Lorraine came out about 10 minutes after my friends mussels and fries. The quiche was underwhelming and not worth the wait.
The broth used for the mussels was different. Not bad, not good. Just ok, but could have used less fennel in the seasoning.
This is the second time coming here. I wouldn’t come back unless if it was just for a drink. The food is not worth the price. Neither of us are picky eaters or consider ourselves to be food critics. But honestly, sub par food isn’t hard to recognize. If it wasn’t for the gift card we wouldn’t have bothered ordering any food after the deviled eggs.
