Inspired by the zinc countertop bars & cafés of Paris, many of its customers consider it a second home—a place to work, linger & socialize.

Our food was great. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable. For 2:30pm on a Saturday, this place was dead. Quite surprised that they didn’t have a more lively brunch crowd. I think we saw two other 2 tops the entire time we were there. I’ll need to come back for dinner.

I recently visited Zinque in San Diego, and it was a disappointing experience. We made a reservation through OpenTable, but upon arrival, we found the restaurant closed well before the posted closing time. It was frustrating to see the doors locked and no staff available, especially after confirming our reservation earlier. A heads-up about the closure would have been appreciated. Overall, our experience at Zinque was unsatisfactory, and I cannot recommend it based on this visit. Improved communication would go a long way in enhancing customer service.

Our food was very good and we enjoyed it, however, our wines were lacking and warm. Service while prompt was a bit like, "I wish I wasn't working so order quick so I can go talk with my friends".

First, this is not really French and the food was mediocre at best. My wife's chicken was SO hard it was impossible to cut. Overcooked to the point it wasn't edible. Nice people but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Our biggest dissatisfaction was the food. The fried chicken sandwich was very obviously made from a frozen patty and there was no flavor to it. It tasted mushy.
