Atmosphere was great, service was spectacular . Highly recommend you will not be disappointed . The food was delicious 😋
This is the third time we've been to Zinc in the last month, and we loved it. The room is beautiful, and even with a large party near us the noise level was acceptable. The service was impeccable, and the food was inventive and delicious, We will be back.
The Asian inspired menu may not be for everyone but we loved it.
Food was amazing. They were out of a lot of drink items which was weird but would 100% go again
Always amazing! Love the new menu additions.
Beautiful patio, great service, parpadelle, duck nachos, heirloom salad were outstanding dishes. Most of the Asian-inspired dishes were disappointing, especially the szechuan lo mein, which did not have any Szechuan spice in it.
This was my first dining experience at Zinc and I loved it! The tables are not too close together and the atmosphere is chill. Food was delicious and the service was attentive but they didn't pressure us to leave our table. It was my birthday and we lingered over dessert and drinks.
Service was exceptional - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food was delicious - the eclectic flavors worked together perfectly. Outstanding overall experience.
In town with daughter to visit Yale for 1 day only, and found this little restaurant with an interesting asian influenced menu. The dumplings were pretty good but the edges were very chewy. Burrata app was very good and so was the salad. My hanger steak medium rare was great and my daughters bibimbop bowl with ground pork was fairly well flavored.
Overall a very pleasant experience.
Haven’t been to Zinc since before the pandemic began but the food was just as good as all our previous visits.
Only negative is noise level
Burrata salad with a bit of calabrian chili jam was delicious. Salmon with fresh corn and fresh pea succotash and gigante beans was amazing. I don't usually like peas or beans, but the sauce made both delicious. I think the beans may have been Rancho Gordo beans because they had such a firm (but not tough) texture. Service was great and it is a pretty restaurant with great ambiance. I'd definitely go there again
This was an awesome restaurant! We will be back.
Everything was brilliant -- the food, wine, service and ambience.
I love this place and missed it so much. You must have the smoked duck nachos. The food is always superb, and the people lovely. This place is my favorite in New Haven. Great martinis too, if you like that sort of thing!
Zinc is a very nice place to dine at in New Haven.
The ambiance is very nice, the Staff is great and the Food is great.
The food here was just amazing. Really a notch above most other meals I've had out -- my husband went so far as to say that his meal might have been the best food he's ever eaten! My only complaint is that there were very few vegetarian options on the menu. I'm not a strict vegetarian, so I got something with meat, but it would have been nice to have the option of something vegetarian other than soup or salad. It seems like they change their menu around a bit - not sure - so maybe we just came on a meat-heavy night. Also, expect to spend some money -- we were surprised to see that the sparkling water, nonchalantly offered as we arrived, was $8 a bottle! We didn't realize until our tab came...
Amazing food and fabulous service.
Dinner was delicious, the smoked duck nachos were so tasty. The seafood paella special was decadent!
Firm flatbread with sauce can be a chew. Order a bottle to feel the ambiance of the place at Table 26 which is a good view. Saigon beef lettuce roll is a good finger food. Observe the lettuce when you roll it. One rip and your filling has fallen. Rolled it like a cone with the Boston lettuce. Waygu burger is tender. Skip the lettuce and tomato to taste the meat. Smokey beans with steak and coleslaw was good. Save room for a cheese plate with honey, preserves, sliced apple and raisin bread. Purple haze cheese had texture of the outside rind of the cheese. Blue cheese had some zing to it. Creamy Gouda had some salty taste to it. Try other combinations to enjoy it with your wine. Farm to table it is.
Couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary/date night! Greeted with champagne for our anniversary, best drinks I’ve had in a long time and the bartender is amazing! On top of that we shared 3 apps and all were fantastic!
Wonderfully helpful staff - we were tight on tome
But they were really great - food great too
Great place to have our anniversary dinner. Waitress was very kind, amazing, and made it a special night for my girlfriend and I.
Nothing but perfect at Zinc. Every single time!
We sat by the kitchen doors so that was a little annoying however the ambience is really nice. Food and wine were amazing, server was very nice and overall it was great. We did have an issue with one of the meals coming out cold and the length of time waiting for meals to arrive was a little excessive. Other than that, I would go back.
Because of COVID, the tables are farther apart with plastic partitions; it is great that the noise level is reduced. The food is seasonal and great ! Service can be improved but understandable due to Covid that staff is reduced. Overall, it was a ice out with great food!
I've written a few excellent reviews before, so I'll make this short and sweet hoping you find them if you need details: IMHO this is still hands down the best Restaurant in New Haven. None of its major competitors come close unless your looking for a particular type of cuisine. I've never had a bad experience here in my 12+ years going, and expect I never will. And if you're not sure what to get but you're willing: go Duck, I love anything they do with Duck. But just go here, you'll be happy.
We’ve never been to New Haven and wanted to try out ZINC after looking at the menu. We are SO glad we chose ZINC! Our server was fantastic, very attentive and kind. The food was incredible. We both had smoked duck nachos and the wagyu burger. The portions were perfect size, cocktails were tasty and creative, and the ambiance is awesome. I’d go back and 100% will recommend!
Outstanding food, superb, personal service, a lovel and meaningful evening.
Server was great. Food was excellent. Everything was timed just right. We arrived 20 minutes early but we were immediately brought to our table. Super place.
The ambience is Manhattan and the personalities of the staff Connecticut. Most dishes trended toward spicy but struck that balance between fascinating and too hot to handle. I strongly recommend the smoked duck nachos, Vietnamese lettuce beef wraps and the bbq chicken with brussel sprout slaw. Eat on the terrace of you can.
Fantastic. Server was most attentive
Advertised as zinc kitchen, but no longer sell the pizza they were known for. Duck appetizer was sparce. Main plates way overpriced. Too many better places to eat in New Haven.
This place is always great. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. They have a great outdoor space set up.
Great food, good drinks. A little loud but we could still hear each other.
So happy to be back at the bar at Zinc! Everything was fabulous!
My daughter and her partner are visiting from California and we wanted to take them out for a special evening
My appetizer (Kun Pao) cauliflower was very good, but my entree, the tuna was disappointing. The spring rolls were very greasy and the filling was very mushy and flavorless. Also - fried spinach with fried egg rolls was too much fried. The tuna was cooked nicely and the wasabi sauce was good.
Absolutely fantastic - highly recommend!
Such a great time! Perfect service, food, atmosphere. It was a surprise bday dinner and it just could not of been any better. Thank you Sean & everyone at Zinc for making my special evening a memorable one.
We love to sit at the bar. Sean is so great! Thank you!
