Delicious food in this wonderful restaurant. Any time we go to Zinc, my husband and I are always refreshingly surprised by the expertly presented and flavorful food. The service is attentive, both warm and inviting.

The food is great. You can tell that it is quality hand-crafted dishes. But the portions are small so it was disappointing for us not to take home extra. The wait staff was very pleasant and the chef sent complimentary apps to the table that were terrific. Apps, entrees and desserts arrived to the table in a timely manner. I only felt that the braised octopus was over cooked. Overall it was very good but pricey for the amount served.

Zinc has always been our favorite restaurant to have dinner but this was the first time for a Saturday lunch. As usual, it never fails to please offering a varied luncheon menu with impeccable service. The duck nachos were a delight and the pastrami sandwich was delicious though my husband also liked the burger.

We enjoyed our time at Zinc; the food was good--try the duck nachos! We went early on a holiday Friday, so the restaurant was relatively quiet and we could hear each other talk. Great waitstaff.

Always impeccable food at Zinc! The best part of my meal was the dessert - Gouda Flan with mission figs and a balsamic reduction. I don’t normally get dessert, but this was too tempting to pass up! A must try! Thank you, chef!

Was in New Haven for concert. Decided on Zinc because of reviews and good looking menu. The restaurant did not disappoint at all. We had a salad to start, follow by the tuna and steak entrees. Both were cooked to perfection served with very tasty sides. The service was also top notch, attentive and right on time with everything . I highly recommend.

We’ve eaten at Zinc many times. The food and service never disappoint. We tried the new outdoor patio. Noise level was very high due to an event at the New Haven Green. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars all around.

Why do I not go to New Haven more for a great meal? We went to Zinc before heading to College Street for the evening. Easy parking in the garage on Crown street, and a quick walk to the restaurant. The drinks were EXCEPTIONAL and the appetizers were stellar. Duck Nachos is a thing and you should 1,000,000,000% try them!! The short ribs, and vietnamese chicken were extraordinary and the pork was succulent and everything we expected. Do not fill up on dinner and save room for the Chocolate Mousse Kalamata Olive dessert!! Yes Kalamata Olive dessert. The waitstaff provided their culinary expertise which is exactly what we needed when trying to make the important decisions. Would go again IN A HEARTBEAT. This place made our night special!

Are used to frequent this restaurant years ago and was excited to go back one visiting New Haven. Unfortunately the establishment has gone downhill. The food was not well prepared, overly spiced and served cold. It’s no surpriseThat the place was relatively empty, despite being a weekend night.

Best spot for an outstanding dinner in New Haven! Cool updated menu that has a mix of something for everyone. Our party of 9 included two twenty year olds all the way up to our 85 year old mother and yet Zinc perfectly satisfied all tastes. Excellent recommendation from the SOM on a super smooth Chardonnay. The ribeye was cooked to perfection for the four of us who ordered it. My daughter said she'd go back just for her salmon and scallop meal alone. Last, our server, was truly delightful! Will most definitely return!

Outstanding! One of the best dining experiences my husband and I have enjoyed. We were able to make last minute reservations on our way to a show. Attention to detail was noticed from the moment we walked up. Beautifully planted flower boxes and a clean exterior was a welcoming touch. We were greeted immediately by the lovely hostesses and seated. The ambience is an upscale feel without a stuffy vibe. Our waitstaff was very attentive without being obtrusive. Our waitress was outstanding. She described the specials thoroughly and was a great representation of the restaurant. Every dish brought to us was absolutely delicious and timely. A couple surprises from the kitchen were a welcome treat. Our entrees were absolutely amazing and perfect portions. Our only regret is that we did not have time for dessert. We left with an enjoyable lasting impression and will definitely go back.

Fantastic customer service from time of booking to the end of the meal. JC in reservations was very helpful in arranging a nice table by the front of the restaurant for our party of 9 for a graduation celebration- it was a semi-private space and spacious for our group. Mel was our server and she was fantastic. We had a few allergies in the group and she was so attentive and made sure to check on the ingredients of the foods we selected. The entire staff was top notch. Our water glasses were constantly filled and topped up. The food all came out within minutes of one another so that we were able to eat together. The quality of the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their appetizer and entree selections !

We went to Zinc to celebrate our engagement and we’re excellently taken care of. They offered us some complimentary sparkling wine to start, and service was attentive and excellent. The food looked almost as good as it tasted (and tasted fantastic)! We had the seared Tuna and Vietnamese Chicken, both were perfectly cooked and the sides on the plate were all incredible. Desert was as much an art show as it was an exciting journey of flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant!

A fantastic experience! We are visiting the area and I was over the top impressed. The cocktails and food were creative and delicious. The staff were friendly and wanted to make our experience special. It was only about 2/3 full, but the noise level at that point was ver comfortable.

If you enjoy being relaxed when you dine away from home ZINC is my fave. The service is attentive and caring. The food is creative and tasty. The ambience is easy. Look around.
