Amazing food and atmosphere! Everyone who hasn’t tried Russian food loved it and I thought it was very high quality. The Nastoiki were very interesting and definitely one of the highlights of the evening among the group. Will definitely recommend and visit again!

Strawberry and basil vodka was lovely. Food tasted good. Puddings suitably rich and full of flavour

What a great night at Zima in Soho. Food was superb, place buzzing with people. Real Russian experience. Loved it. Especially infused vodka shots. They were lethal!

We were celebrating birthday at Zima. I’ve been to this place many times and experience was always great except this time. Our service didn’t match my expectations, we were brought a few extra portions of dishes that nobody ordered, furthermore, it was not removed from our bill and we, eventually paid for it. Server didn’t possess information about the availability of certain dishes. I waited one of my starter for over an hour and then i was told that it ran out.
In addition to that, we were not able to order either desserts or coffee after 9, because this is the time when the kitchen and bar stop operating. If we knew we would’ve ordered everything in advance but nobody told us about it.
There are dishes I would recommend: Olivie, Black Caviar with pancakes, Chicken Cutlet with mashed potatoes, Pirogi.
I will not say that we had a good experience at this restaurant, we left disappointed and without a wish to come back.
Prices are fair.

Staff is really slow. Honey cake is the best I’ve ever tried though, pelmeni so-so

I’m from Russia and on the one hand I would like to be proud of Russian food served in Soho, but on the other hand I judge it mercilessly re my vast experience as a Russian food eater.
Starter Mushroom Julienne went wrong. Julienne is the way you shred thinly any product. Unfortunately in Zima they chopped mushroom into random size chunks. And they forgot to season them completely.
Ukha Donskaya with salmon and cod (fish soup) was so thin and a bit watery, the two pieces of fish looked rationed. And I never even heard let alone eat cherry tomatoes in Ukha :-0
Stuffing in pelmeni (meat and fish ones) was really nice but the dough was unforgivably thick. Pelmeni with fish were barely tepid.
Same temperature problem happened with the pancakes, but they replaced the cold ones without a problem.
Sea backthorn tea and cranberry mors were really nice. I also couldn’t fault Cabbage rolls.
Quite mixed feelings, but in general it’s worth trying. And I wish the restaurant to improve the quality of food to the full glory of Russian cuisine, good luck!

Excellent restaurant and perfect for sweet and savoury blini during Maslenitsa. Loved the food, the ambiance and service was good. (One small point ... would have liked the Georgian wine available by the glass?). This was our first visit and will go again

Maslenitca menu is amazing. You get a huge amount of blinis for a fair price with various toppings. Very tasty. Olivie is good as well and they have great choice of nastoikas! Good russian place not too expensive! Great service as well!!

the service was extremely slow
The food had gotten worse, the olivie salad is not as delicious as it used to be, same goes for borshh. for some reason there is no mushroom pirozhki anumore.
Also i think they changed up the menu a bit and its just not as good

Service was non-existent, the menu was brought like 10 minutes after being seated and not even water was offered at that point. Not one single explanation about the menu, not even mention about the Maslenitsa menu that they have this week. The food was served and again without a single explanation (thanks god we are familiar with Russian cuisine) and we never heard from the waiter again, until he came to pick up the plates. Basically Russian service from the 90’s... The kind of service you don’t even get in a bad restaurant in Moscow these days.

The food was decent; presentation, portions and flavour were good for being London. Not amazing, but good enough when you are craving some Russian classics. Would come back for the food, but the service was so terrible that I doubt. Rather go to Marivanna.

This review is based on just my last experience.
There was only one waiter, which meant that we were waiting for about an hour for the food who h then became cold.
The waiter was trying so hard to get everything done, the food was still great and I would still recommend going, just hopefully they one person serve everyone again.

I took my husband to Zima for his birthday and also because we are visiting Russia this year. I thought the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent and it was nicely done out. The service was laid back and efficient at the same time which i like. The food was very good but not outstanding but the Russian Salad starter was delicious.
Good beers, wine and obviously vodka. I would definitely go again.

Russian food is meant to be hearty but the portions at this restaurant were way too small! Tiny even. They are trying to be chic but instead it looks a bit stingy. We didn’t mind ordering 2 mains plates and a starter and a dessert (you’ll only be full if you order that much) but there just wasn’t enough of each dish. The dessert crepes were the perfectly thin ones they’re meant to be but there were only 3 of them and being half a crepe each, it was like serving 1.5 small crepes. Even the vareniki were too small. It was disappointing because the food was nice in itself. Don’t go there if you actually like eating and being full, because you won’t be when you leave.

Very interesting atmosphere with a very traditional props around the dinning rooms. Felt like a true Russian vibe, as if you know everyone in the room. Felt like home. Waiters were very attentive. Food tasted like childhood. Very happy overall. My partner loved it to. Very good place to introduce someone to Russian cuisine. Also so in love with Sex in Siberia. Thank you, Zima!

Ordered countless times to my office (via Deliveroo), but first time in the actual restaurant.
It was a good surprise for me (being a Russian -born and spoilt by my mum' and nan's cooking in my childhood years in St-Petersburg...) . Brought my British work colleagues who really enjoyed it.
Especially, I liked the pirojkis and beef Stroganoff. The dishes were quite well presented.
Not at all overpriced for Soho.
It was a lunch time and the restaurant was very busy (groups of people), we had to wait for some time until the waiter became available to take our order, but after that the service was very good.

We had a team early dinner, so it was quieter than our previous 7-pm meal. Delicious plate of shared appetizers, mushroom julienne and draniki, next time I plan to try sturgeon - it looked very good on my colleagues’ plates!

Great russian restaurant in the heart of Soho. Beautiful terrace with a simple interior reminiscent of Kandinsky and Malevich style, with russian memorabilia all around the place. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Food is very authentic, and gives a wonderful glimpse into traditional russian cuisine!

Food and service is excellent. At lunchtime it has a 'bistro style' feel possibly just because no tablecloths. It's a small point but a pity because it takes away the feel of a top class restaurant - which it deserves.

Borscht was really good, other meals were quite mediocre. Also I don't like the music in this restaurant. Russian rock isn't suitable to the whole atmosphere.
