Wonderful food and service. More crowded and noisy than we are used to. Still an excellent experience.
VERY quiet evening, fabulous food and service but very expensive. reserve for a special occasion and bring another couple
Our experience was nice. Our waitress was very cordial and informative. However, I don't think we would visit again because the food being very good was not filling.
I understand your concept of the restaurant and the chef's vision but a one time visit will suffice.
Our wine choice was very good.
Good luck with this venture!
The food was amazing - really loved the small-bites that started out the meal (Soft Warm Eggs!). We had the Omnivore tasting menu with elevated wine pairings and everything was a delight. The entire staff was helpful and welcoming, especially our server Marlee. Thanks to Zero for the creative menu and lovely evening. :)
Great experience. Tasting menu delivered on all levels, and seasoning and execution was flawless. Interesting wine pairings with some more obscure varietals and regions represented - which provided for an educational experience as well. One of the best meals and dining experiences to be had in Charleston.
Zero George is our new indisputable Charleston favorite for fine dining! Experience was comparable to some famous San Fran area greats. Without a doubt in the top tier of Chas restaurants, alongside (if not surpassing) Chas Grill, Peninsula Grill and Circa 1886. I would even say the value and creativity are much greater at Zero George. The 5 course tasting menu, along with with hors d'oeuvres and wine pairings was amazing, and is an excellent value compared to similar restaurants. A must for a trip to Charleston and/or special occasions!
Tasting menu was excellent and they accommodated me for one course, which they usually do no substitutions, since I'm pregnant. Wine pairing per my husband was terrible. Service was excellent and ambiance lovely. Would return if we lived in the area.
Daughter’s 23rd birthday with her sister. We had a delicious meal and the service was outstanding! One of my absolute favorite places to dine in Charleston. Loved it all!
This restaurant continues to set the bar! Absolutely the best dining experience in Charleston! If you can only have one dinner while visiting this should be on your very short list. Some of the most creative and delicious dishes we’ve ever had! Love this place!
the main course “beef Wellington” was a complete miss... but the first two courses and the wine pairing were to die for.
World class restaurant. Food, wine, and service were all fantastic.
The set menu for Valentines Day was exceptional. We had a refined mix of small plates accompanied by lobster and Beef Wellington. This is my second time with 0 George and is excellent but also pricey. Great for a really special occasion.
Zero is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining. The chef prepares some amazing, creative dishes. It is a very small venue and I suspect they get very busy. It was too cold to sit outside but the outside dining area looks to be very romantic. Next time. If you don’t try this place you are missing one of the best restaurants in Charleston and perhaps the entire east coast ! Yes, it is that good.
Pre-show dinner prior to Diana Krall concert.
Most creative menu in Charleston. Amazingly talented chef enhanced by great service a s small but excellent wine list.
I made reservation for Wed Feb 7th at 7 pm and upon arrival I was told that they would have to get a table ready for myself and the three other persons with me, I have a 94 year old woman from New York who has been doing Cabaret all of her life, and needless to say she was not happy having to wait for a table that should have been ready for us when we arrived; once we were seated we were immediately attended to and from that point on everything was wonderful and the food was just fabulous. I can tell you my friend from NY loved the atmosphere and food and has asked when she returns to please make reservations at this facility; once again the only complaint I have is that this 94 year old woman had to stand and wait fr about 20 minutes to be seated.
The food was exceptional. Charleston is a foodie town and there is no lack of great food to be had, but Zero really is a cut above. The preparation is different, the presentation beautiful. But be prepared to pay for it. In addition to being the most interesting meal I've ever had in Charleston, it was also one of the most expensive. For a special occasion tho, I'd say well worth the experience.
Wonderful tasting menu with accompanying wines, service was excellent, quiet place to eat, expensive but well worth it. Was a very nice find. Definitely not one of the tourist trap restaurants that you see so often in Charleston
Zero George continues to be one of the most interesting and creative food experiences in Charleston (which is saying a lot). The format is multi-course tasting with suggested wine pairings.
The food has always been, and remains now, superbly creative and incredibly tasty. Foods you know are elevated to new levels, and my wife & I always find something new that we didn't know we'd like, but ends up great. How they do this from their tiny kitchen area is beyond me...
The service is as good as it gets - supremely competent and incredibly friendly; not stuffy at all.
The beverage pairings are very well done, at both regular and reserve levels.
We love this restaurant, and every friend we've taken has loved it as well. We will continue to be regulars.
Great food with amazing taste!
Food and service was remarkable. One of the great places to dine in Charleston. A must for any special occasion!
Zero George is my favorite restaurant. Always a perfect dinner. Our server, Amy, is so terrific - upbeat, extremely knowledgeable, and always remembers me and my food/wine interests.
Best food in Charleston. Highly recommend.
This was our second visit to Zero George. We had the most amazing meal! The staff was so very kind and helped us achieve a great experience with some time constraints due to a Gaillard Performance. Our guests who were in the wine business in Boston were most impressed with the food and the wine list.
The food and wine was amazing. We did the wine pairing and it was unbelievable. The review prior to are visit didn’t do it justice. The restaurant is so cozy and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed. I
Amazing! The food is incredible and the service and atmosphere is top notch!
This was our second time at Zero for restaurant week. I wish we could afford it at other times too but the portions are simply too small to account for such a hefty price.
Zero George never fails to meet expectations and each time seems to get better.
We had the most creative and delicious meal. Comfortable ambiance and attentive staff.
The food was incredible as was the service and ambiance. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable night out. Our waiter's recommendations we're spot on and everyone there was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and just amazing. I will be back!
Never disappoints! Food is incredible and service is impeccable
Very good service and general feel. Impressive wine choices. I ordered the Venison. Excellent, but the chef should insist a sharper knife to cut the beet in carpaccio over the venison. You guys have EVERYTHING perfect
While food was well prepared and creative, portions were moderate and price for quality was high. Wine list overpriced. Cozy hold Charleston House Atmosphere and proximity to Gaillard Auditorium a plus.
Such an amazing experience. You’ll never have another meal like that in Charleston. The food was outstanding
One of the best restaurants in Charleston. Very European feeling.
The food was the most creative that we had during a 6 day stay in Charleston. It as fun and delicious.
A real tonic for a couple tired from dealing with responsibilities. We were cossetted by the exceptional food and attentive service in the a sophisticated quiet period Charleston townhouse setting complemented by candlelight. The combination of flavors and textures in a series of amuse bouche for two were fascinating as well as the creative presentations depending on unique serving pieces or imitating dirt with a flavored grain in a potted minature radish dish.
Wonders were done with ingredients such as beets whether in salad form or encasing just right cooked venison. We only had a sampling of the dishes doing the more limited restaurant week menu which, however, was built from the tasting menu. It is expensive and wines by the glass were priced a bit high but to support the labor and effort going into the quality of the ingredients, preparation and presentation it was worth it for us.
The food was excellent and the service just as good! Will definitely
return to this establishment.
My dinner date is born and raised in Charleston, and between us we have eaten at hundreds of local restaurants. We unanimously agreed this was the most thoughtful, creative and amazing food we have had in Charleston. Its that good!
