This is one of my favorite restaurants and my experience tonight was subpar. In June we had one of our best experiences. It was terribly hot we were right outside the kitchen it was noisy the waiter was nowhere to be found. It is upsetting to see how what is usually wonders can be bad. The food was not quit up to normal as well.
Food was wonderful. Really good flavors and yummy food. Lots of small plates with unique tastes. Also loved the puffy pita that is brought out warm. We had the beet salad, shrimp plate and chicken with pasta. All fabulous!
We went to dinner for our 15th wedding anniversary and decided to try the Chef’s table. Every dish we were served in the 5 courses was delicious and we had a wonderful time. Only draw backs are that it was a bit cold in the restaurant and very loud…neither would stop me from recommending, but I will bring a sweater next time!
Loved all of the food we tried! Falafel, hummus, octopus, beet salad. All great!
Service is usually spot on. Not everyone hits the bullseye every time.
Very small plate for the price
It’s So expensive
And Why did you given the Happy hour menu when people are sitting at the table ?
I’m So disapointed
Great customer service and delicious food! I love coming here!
Wait staff were amazing- attentive without hovering, patient and didn’t rush us. They made outstanding recommendations!
The food was excellent! The hummus, Baba ghanoush, and rice with spinach are must-haves! Service was a bit slow for us, but our server seemed super busy with many tables. We ate on their awesome patio.
The food is very subpar
First, we arrived and asked the waiter for the table, and she refused to give us a table. After we book online in a minute, she gives us the first table outside and shows us the second table as well; after we sat she come back and said we are not allowed to sit there, and the table outside was all reserved and take us a second table inside. However, about 2 hours, we noticed that all outside tables were still empty and we feel she just want to bother US . Unfortunately she wasn’t a good waiter , FYI there was a African -American Waiter and she was very nice and completely different from the previous one , I write this one since the restaurant is a pretty clean and food were delicious and want to make this one correct , the waiter is first encounter and make customers feel sad and run from the restaurant. Hope it’s fixed and don’t happen again
A very popular place even after Covid and the service and food were outstanding. Easily recommended to friends and colleagues.
I haven't been to Zaytinya in a couple of years and I was truly disappointed. I'd raved to my out of town friends about it but it did not live up to expectations. The food was good but nothing memorable.
Tasting dinner is a must! We've had tasting menu's at many other places and for the price we were not expecting so many small plates that we couldn't eat our dessert, we brought them home! We did spend the same amount per person on beverages as food, but it's DC so this is not unusual. It was really nice when they accommodated us despite being late for our reservation. I did call when I realized we'd be late. Anyway, I'd suggest getting the tasting dinner for 2 but having a third person along so you can actually enjoy the dessert.
We're excited to bring our friends back for another great meal.
Great Service and Food. Love the outdoor seating arrangement.
Wait staff was friendly, helpful, and patient with our large group. Food was incredible. We had a great time!
our waiter was good and pelasant.but its seems they are understaffed or need to focus on serving the cusotmers . if u order something it takes forever to get it and this is not just this time since we have been there several times we noticed the same issue.
Still a wonderful dining experience after all of these years. Great service, even if a bit slow. Good food, reasonably priced. Great location and space.
We stopped here for lunch, and had a delightful time. The pita and hummus is fresh and delicious, and everything tasted amazing.
Great food! Great service, ambience and location. Bit expensive for quantity of food.
Brunch outside was nice and the service was attentive. Food was presented well and yummy. Specialty drinks were delicious. We will definitely go back.
Food was cold and Omelette is not something that can be served cold!
Service was eh! We split the bill evenly but the server mischarged the split so we were overcharged for the meal. Good food and drinks though!
Service was TERRIBLE
Slow- unresponsive - didn’t explain well- bread came without oil- after asking for oil 15 minute wait-
Good options, different flavors to try. The restaurant looks very nice, good ambience.
Great food. Service good. Noise level awful.
Incredible. We are for lunch but wished we would have booked for dinner also!
We booked our reservation at Zaytinya based off of a recommendation from a friend as we are not from the area and we were blown away! We both ordered the Chefs selection for the night, a 5 course dinner that exceeded our expectations! Hairul was our waiter and made the experience one to write home about. His knowledge of the menu was extremely impressive and we ended up having him pair our drinks with the upcoming courses. If you are in the DC area and looking for a place with great, creative food, and fantastic service, this is your place. We just wish we could’ve stayed longer to try some of the chefs other restaurants in the area. We will definitely be coming back.
For those leery about eating indoors, its great to have outdoor options, and Zaytinya has ample outdoor dining space. We loved it! Food was great as usual. Surprised to see how much the menu has changed since the last time we were there.
amazing! everything was lovely and the vibes were perfect!
Such an amazing restaurant. Well worth the moneys. Great vibe, great service, and excellent food!
Very good food and service.
Situated on the main street.
Strongly recommend for Turkish cousin.
As delicious as the foods are in Turkey.
Very good innovative dressing on regular foods.
Good was delicious and the service was great!!
Good experience!! It was nice to celebrate my bday at a classy place with a great kitchen. Food took a bit longer than expected, but I’m cutting everyone slack during this period of adjustment from the pandemic.
Overall very good first impression for this restaurant. The food delivery was well timed. The service was good and our water was frequently refilled. We would visit this restaurant again.
Best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve ever been to. I wish there was one closer to where I live in New York, I’d go all the time.
Great suggestions from server and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
Brought an out of town guest who is totally unfamiliar with this cuisine. He really enjoyed it. Service was just right. Love the tzatziki and the chicken soup.
