   I loved the decor and ambience. The food portion was small, but we are not big eaters, so it was fine. The octopus was very delicious. It was extremely tender and flavorful, which required time precision. The salad Fattoush was refreshing and light.

   We celebrated my best friend’s birthday at Zaytinya and had an absolutely wonderful evening. The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, and every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to our server, Sergio—he was incredibly attentive, kind, and made us feel truly special throughout the night. From the moment we were seated, he made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. He was not only attentive and professional, but also incredibly kind and intuitive. It was a memorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for a special night out!

   It was our first experience in Zaytinya - DC and we were excited about the food. A huge disappointment was the service. The waiter was rude and pushy to get things done fast. The waiter also send all the plates at the same time leaving no space in the table to eat or even the drinks. Additionally, the waiter was very rude when taking plates out. The food was very tasty but the waiter and the service and times made our experience a big disappointment. We felt so uncomfortable and had the sensation that the waiter wanted us out as fast as possible that we move to another restaurant to get dessert.

   We made a reservation over a month ago and were sat in the bar area. We didn’t get greeted or brought water for 10 minutes. The server, Daniel, must have been serving all the bar tables and it was so slow and took forever to place an order. If we come back, we will specify not to sit in the bar area because the service is not the same.

   Food very pedestrian . It was as if the kitchen was more intereted in rushing the food out then creating a well thought out meal . We had the chefs tasting menu and it was a disappointment. Our seating was a fail as well . It was as if they wanted to jam as many people in without regard to the noice level and cramped table space for a tasting dinner. Our table was completely wobbly and the staff was less than apologetic when we asked them to fix it . The corner was extremely hot , yet the bar area was cool. Very ununiform - the manager was not very helpful and/or apologetic . Poorly run restaurant And Very very disappointed .

   Zaytinya is a very special experience, not to be missed. We’ve had many meals here while visiting DC and it’s in my top 5 favorite restaurants in the world. The food is incredible, service wonderful. Eat outside if the weather allows…inside can get loud at the busiest times.

   Wonderful evening. Very loud and hard to have table conversation, but food was amazing and staff was great!

   I’ve arrived to the restaurant on time and waited in line to be admitted by the host. By the time it was turn I was told my table is no longer available as I’ve arrived over 15 minutes late which isn’t true since I arrived on time and had to wait to be admitted by. After arguing with the host I was seated in a bad spot which I didn’t like even though there were other tables available (still available when I finished dining). The food itself was mediocre and definitely not worth the cost. Ordered the eggplant pide which I found unbalanced and the scallops which were bland.

   Enjoyed the fast service since I had to squeeze in dinner between getting off work and going to the caps playoff game. Great food as always. Better than anything you can find in capital one arena.

    Food was wonderful! Wait staff was friendly and helpful. However host and staff at check in were very cold. We had a reservation, and had requested a quiet table as it was our anniversary. They didn't acknowledge the reservation, and we were taken to four different tables (all were very loud and surrounded by crowds). There were many open tables, and when I asked about those I was told "those are reserved". I'm not sure what our reservation was good for, if not to get a table. We finally ended up outside, which we did not want. My husband suffers from severe seasonal allergies. But this table was the "least bad" of all the options. (our reservation was for an inside table). It was an awful way to start the evening. Absolutely no mention of our anniversary (why ask for this information if you don't even acknowledge it?). The food was excellent, so that helped get things partially back on track. But after being treated so poorly upon our entrance, it was hard to overcome this.
