I have been to Zatinya before and had a wonderful experience. On this particular night the restaurant was over-booked and understaffed. I had a 7:45 reservation and wasn't seated until I proactively complained at 8:15. At that point, I was told the host had been "looking for me" even though I had been directed to wait outside and had been standing very near the front door. Also, my reservation included my cell phone number which was never used. Once I was seated, the service was good and the food was excellent as always.

What an amazing experience! Everything we ordered was an 11/10! I am not sure where or how you get your yogurt, but it is an absolute showstopper! The atmosphere and service were also excellent!

Make a reservation if you want to eat after 6pm. There’s plenty of space but it was busy. There’s plenty of staff to support the service. Our server looked annoyed to be helping us and made no suggestions about the menu even after we told him it was our first time being there. He checked on us once and that was it until we asked for the check. I only left a 20% tip because of the other service staff since they were way more attentive.

Servers were delightful. Chef tasting menu was terrific. We were seated upstairs to reduce the noise impact. Only suggestion: please change our plates after every course. Otherwise—the best!

Was a real disappointment. I thought this place was going to be legit in terms of service quality, but yeah, I was mistaken. I’ve worked at multiple fine dining restaurants so poor quality service at places that try to market themselves as high-end is particularly annoying. We were sat outside, we waited literally about 10 mins to be greeted by our server. This is something that I’d have easilyyy forgotten about if the rest of the service went without incident, even though it’s obviously an unacceptable situation at serious restaurants. From there, our server was friendly enough in demeanor, at first. But very quickly, she could not help herself to not make it glaringly obvious that she was in a rush and very annoyed that she got s new table. Our reservation was for 9:30, 30 mins before last reservations. When we needed help with some info on the menu, she wasn’t very versed. Just being honest. Then, last call for food came, and it came in what felt like just minutes into service since we didn’t start service for 10 mins after sitting and we needed some info about the menu before deciding. After she delivered the news that last call for food is approaching, she waited about 90 seconds before coming back for our order. Not great. Later, after the food came, she informed us the bar closed and, oops, she forgot to tell is that last call for drinks was approaching. Oh well… But it wasn’t just our server, you could feel the energy of the entire restaurant working together on prioritizing getting HOME, to hell with the guests enjoying their meals. Our food came out all at once, and this is a tapas place so that’s absurd and rude. The anniversary we were celebrating that I noted on the reservation was entirely ignored. The manager asked the server multiple questions openly about how close our server was to being done. Then, when our server asked if we’d be doing dessert her frustration that our answer was yes, on our anniversary no less, was palpable. Real disappointed .

Great! My server asked if I was allergic to anything, recommended plates, asked if I wanted another beer, and asked how the food was, very attentive. The food-value ratio was really good, I cannot believe I got all of that food for $35 and the place was beautiful.
