   We had a lovely table for our special occasion lunch right by the big window. The six of us ordered multiple dishes from the hot and cold mezze and enjoyed every single one. My son said the chicken kabob was “the best chicken I have ever eaten in my life.” The zucchini pancakes, roasted Brussels sprouts and Labneh with zaatar were standouts for us, and the hot puffy bread of course. The pides had good flavor but just a tad too much cheese on top for us. Service was very friendly and efficient. Thank you for making our lunch memorable.

   Zaytinya is our one of the best favorite restaurants. But this time, service was kinda slow even though I requested the bigger table due to my husband’s health conditions we were able to sit at one of the bar’s table. The portions got smaller if I compare with other times. Overall, we enjoyed so much but still some issues has to be considered.

   Our meal was wonderful--recommend the Za'atar Margarita, Labneh, Grilled Haloumi, Sauteed Shrimp (the sauce is incredible), Brussel Sprouts. Our server was so lovely and while the restaurant was very busy, service was great!

   Outside under the tent was comfortable and quieter and calmer than inside. The small plate options are extensive and delicious. Our server didn't rush us to order, which was perfect.

   I had a somewhat disappointing experience at Zaytanya yesterday. Firstly, the lady who seated us wasn't very accommodating. We requested a booth but were placed at a table directly in the sunlight, which was quite uncomfortable. When we asked if the blinds could be closed, we were told they were broken. Additionally, when we requested to move to a nearby booth, the staff declined, and their response was not particularly friendly. I also had an interaction with the bartender that was less than pleasant. I wanted to try a cocktail made with Lebanese liquor and approached her with my request after she finished serving others. Unfortunately, she was dismissive and seemed uninterested in helping me. While I understand she might have been busy, her attitude was off-putting. Overall, we opted for the tasting experience, and I would say it was average.

    For close to 20 years now one of my favorite restaurants in DC. Consistently amazing food, drinks (here’s looking at you Mediterranean G&T), and service. We sat outside and I was concerned about it being too warm but with umbrellas, a nice tree, and a breeze it was lovely. And don’t miss the chocolate lava style cake for dessert.
