Overall the quality of food was average. The thing that was more irritating was the service. The waiter kept pushing to order more and more knowing very well that we will not be able to finish and the food would be wasted. It went to a point where i had to tell him to stop and oversell and told him that i knew what i was doing. It just felt like being in a cheap restaurant where unless you overorder you do not get served properly. The whole idea of going to a fine dinning restaurant is that you are not treated in such a way !!
The food is superb, lobster dish must try! Staff are friendly and attentive.
Delicious Friday evening dinner with awesome service and great veggie and vegan choices! Thank you x
We had the taster menu. Good variety of dishes and special dietary requirements were catered for without fuss. Great food with fabulous service in a beautiful building.
Really nice place, especially for an intimate occasion. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Although personally I thought it lacked spice but the flavours were still present Would definitely recommend.
The venue was very classy & beautifully decorated.
The food was exceptional & the service was very attentive & efficient.
We definitely look forward to returning!
Without a doubt the finest dining experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been three time now and each time is perfect. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and the food is amazing. The taster menu is a delight
Service was not that great. Many a times we were wondering to whom to call.
Special occasion 40th wedding anniversary. Excellent food and service. Very special and they presented us with a celebratory cake
Service was fantastic from minute one. We got the tasting menu and everything was delicious, even dishes we wouldn’t normally get. Decor and ambience was fantastic as well. Highly recommend.
all good, food and service was good, bit overpriced.
This is my fourth time at Zaria - Great food and great customer services- highly recommended
The food was to a very high standard and the service staff were very friendly and efficient
Slightly snooty service when I had the temerity to ask for popodums as pre prandial snack which I normally order in an Indian restaurant.
Food good but small portions . Two of us ordered the same dish and received one small pot of chicken between two of us . ( My companion seized more than 50% before we realized , note to self need to pay attention next time out with him )
Price twice what I would normally pay .
The coat lady was very nice and helpful .
Haven’t been here since pre CoVid. Still excellent. Creative cocktails. If you call yourself a mixologist you ought to go to Zaika and then consider changing your name to a bartender.
It’s very challenging to find anything remotely negative, so I won’t even try. The setting and ambiance are beautiful and the staff attentive. However, it’s the food that will keep you coming back. It’s refined Indian cuisine for sure, but with a healthy infusion of homely cooking comfort. The lamb shank was absolutely amazing and the okra particularly delicious. The chicken biriyani is a nice a piece of food theatre and the lobster curry was tasty and well presented. I hope that you enjoy it here as much as we just have!
Excellent early Christmas Eve dinner after Christmas concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Best Indian food we’ve ever had in and beautiful building with good service. Will be back!
i had lunch my myself and sat by the window which gave a lovely view of the restaurant and outside. i had the vegetarian kebab followed by the black dhal and okra with a naan. the food was delicious and my waiter Stephen was great and very friendly. the only disappointment for me was that there was no plant milks for me to enjoy a masala chai at the end of the meal. if they do start to stock some then i'd definitely go back with my friends
We had the tasting menu which was excellent. Different tastes and textures and all very interesting and tasty. Good value for London these days for this quality of food.
Excellent service. Highly attentive. Good food. Great staff. Extremely clean place. Highly recommend.
It was our anniversary, they made it very special for us, personalised cake and the service was good
This was one of the better meals of our lives. It was exceptionally delicious, the servers were excellent, and the experience was top notch. Everyone was so good at their jobs it was just delightful to be there. Top to bottom fantastic!
This restaurant was absolutely top tier. The service is outstanding, all the staff including management were super lovely and attentive. The atmosphere was really nice. The food was amazing, real authentic south asian cuisine.
I was celebrating my anniversary here, and the staff were kind enough to offer a cake with “happy anniversary” written over it, it was the perfect end to the night.
I will definitely be back again!
Overall my experience at zaika was very nice and ~mostly~ worth the expense. The service was wonderful, wine was delicious, lighting, ambiance, noise levels, layout of the space, etc makes for an intimate and pleasant candlelit evening. You come to zaika for the class, to treat yourself, and to enjoy the setting with someone you care about, not for the best Indian food in London.
I will say, I was the tiniest bit disappointed in nearly all of the dishes we tried during our visit. The tandoori paneer tikka was rather boring, and the Raj Kachoori was a confused fusion of samosa chaat and pani puri, but lacking the delicious combustion of flavors that both have.
For mains, we had the Chicken korma and the vegetarian kofta. For the korma the flavor was there, but frankly all the currys on the menu were so smooth it's as if you're tucking into a savory milkshake as opposed to indulging in a slow cooked indian curry. The kofta was good as well, but the ginger was entirely overwhelming. To be honest, the best thing on their menu is an unassuming side, the spiced Bhindi. It had the flavor and the texture that so endears the authentic indian cuisine to the palate. It felt authentic.
I cannot speak to the desserts as none stood out to us so we politely declined.
Don't get me wrong, I still sent my compliments to the chef, and it was still one of the best nights out I have had in a while. Especially if you are looking for – what you might be able to tell is distasteful to me – a "sophisticated" indian dining experience, I would go here, however, I think it should be advertised more directly as the fusion restaurant it is. I have been to better (authentically speaking) Indian restaurants with very much acceptable atmospheres and "fine dining" standards... with a more reasonable price point as well.
Lovely service and delicious food - will be returning for sure
The food was superb… and so was the service. So classic and yet so modern. Impossible to fault. I cannot wait to go back
Absolutely amazing. Get the tasting menu, you won't be disappointed!
We had invited one of our clients for dinner and normally your service is excellent. Somehow, yesterday I personally found that there were plenty of moments when I could not find any staff members to assist me with ordering the food. Please do not take action against anybody but maybe a practice that one staff member is always available to watch all the tables would be professional service in my opinion. Otherwise when they were available they served us very well. Thanks for the evening.
The best Indian restaurant we have ever experienced!
Great food presented artfully.
Great unobtrusive yet helpful service.
What more could we ask for?
We arrived earlier than booked, but our table was ready for us. The lady at the front desk was courteous, friendly, and polite. The gentleman who waited on us was also professional and friendly and ensured our dining experience went smoothly.
The starters, mains and dessert were all delightful. From the Tiger prawns to the buttered chicken, to the pistachio Brulee. Exquisite on the palate. Highly recommend it and shall certainly visit it again.
i loved everything we tried on the menu. The chicken biryani is really delicious and not spicy.
The brown dal and scallop started are tasty but a little on the spicy side.
The beetroot rocket salad was so fresh and tasty.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and an outstanding service.
The food was amazing and outstanding hospitality.
My first time back to Zaikas for a while and I remember their delicious dishes with truffled naan and gin martinis with curry leaves…
It is now very average, not to the same standard especially at the prices charged. It’s no longer on my list of local favourites. Such a shame.
Five stars all round, excellent on every level! Highly Reccomend.
Was a wonderful evening with very attentive staff.
An extremely good Botanic Cocktail followed by some delicious food. Though l would love to see a Chickpea dish on the menu and a traditional Rasmali at least as an option with the fusion version available.
Service, food, atmosphere were amazing. We invited out friends to be back together
Zaika delivers the perfect marriage of spice & gorgeousness. The food is always delicious & beautifully presented.
Thank you Ligorio for making our lunch so wonderful.
Starting from the very kind and pleasant host to our lovely Maître d’ Mohammed, the decor, and most importantly the food, Zaika has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Such attention to detail and the flavors are absolutely delicious. My mother and I will be coming back!
