The setting is just gorgeous. We had been there in the summer and wanted to check out the winter vibe. The dining room is just lovely and comfortable. There were two of us; one choosing the 4 course meal, the other off the regular menu. We were informed that there was lots of flexibility with both if we wanted to mix and match, which was very nice. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious on all counts. You may leave feeling pampered and pleased that you didn't overeat (meaning many options are spa like in nature). Still, it was a lovely experience and we were very pleased to have tried Yuta.
The food here was truly amazing and unique, and our waitress was personable and attentive. It’s a trek to the ranch, but, it is a beautiful property and worth the drive. On the downside; They had some problems moderating the lighting so, our table was in a bit of a spotlight, not relaxing. Another glitch was the wine. We ordered a bottle of white and it was warm. We had to wait a while to drink it, which was not appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. Also, be prepared to drop mega $$$$. Not for the faint of wallet. In spite of these negatives, I would return for the delicious food. Any restaurant can have an off night, so, maybe this was just one of those.
The food was quite good but the service was terrible and the prices were outrageous, even for Park City. I had Swordfish Skewers which were 3 small pieces of swordfish for $40!
Had a wonderful experience at Yuta. Our favorite parts of the evening were the ambience (it's clear Blue Sky has put a lot of investment into curating a beautiful property down to every single detail), the cocktails (perfectly balanced and refreshing though could use some seasonal specialization), and the appetizers. We had the amuse bouche (swordfish ceviche, delicious), farm salad, tuna l'Occidental (incredibly fresh and wonderful flavor), and the mushroom soup (okay: lacked depth but had decent flavor but overwhelmed by the Asian mushrooms. Between the texture and lack of depth/savory-ness, it felt more like a mushroom puree). Dinner: Three of us had the Ribeye while our friend had the chicken. This is the only time in my memory where chicken beat ribeye by miles as the better dish. Her chicken was perfectly crispy and golden brown on the outside with a very tender juicy flavor. The ribeye was fine but was truly the only lackluster ribeye I have ever had in my entire life. I've grilled better ribeye at home. I have a sneaking suspicion it had more to do with the cut and sourcing than it did the cooking. The best part of the ribeye was the marrow, brisket, and brioche accompaniment the steak came with. The ribeye itself was cooked to the perfect temperature but not nearly as tender as I am used to with ribeye. It didn't have very even marbling which lends itself better to that melt in your mouth quality of most ribeyes and also contributed to the lack of flavor (desperately needed another touch of salt to make up for that). I tasted no hint of the housemade Worchestershire sauce that they supposedly used. Considering the setting of it being a ranch in the mountains, this was a huge miss. Perhaps sometimes sourcing too local, if your cattle just isn't the right fit for particular dishes, isn't the right call. Dessert: We were too full but enjoyed the four unique complimentary macarons which were textbook perfect. Petite, delicate yet indulgent, and unique flavors.
Wow. This place is over the top. From the stunning decor to the high level service, it did not disappoint. The design level is like nothing we’ve seen in Utah. It’s a clean, almost Scandinavian rustic vibe. We ate at the bar, and our bartender Eric had the most extensive selections of cocktails and an exquisite wine list. We ordered the chicken and the sea bass. The chicken was by far the best, but the fish was cooked perfectly and very delicious. We only wish the portions were slightly bigger. This place wins hands-down on cuisine, cocktails, service and atmosphere. We highly recommend trying it. It is an experience not to be missed! And it only took us 20 minutes to drive from Kimball Junction.
Worth the short drive from Park City. The property was absolutely stunning. The service from our server Christian was impeccable and the dry aged ribeye was the best piece of steak we've had in park city. Will definitely return.
Outstanding dining experience. My husband and I got the 4 course menu curated by Chef Zamarra and absolutely everything was incredible. I’m still thinking about that Bison Tataki. We were not guests of the lodge so I can only speak of Yuta. Go and experience this restaurant for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
Food and service were beyond incredible. Utah is lucky to have the talents of Chef Galen Zamarra. The setting is spectacular. Dream dining experience. If near Park City this is a culinary MUST! Cant wait to return. Thank you Lodge at Blue Sky!
This is one of the best restaurants, the food is very tasty and the service was friendly and not pretentious.
Best meal we have had in a long time! Perhaps ever! The sturgeon was world class and bake chicken was to die for! The Scallop appetizer the perfect way to start. While the food was amazing, the setting for the restaurant and the view up the mountain side was just as good, only to be matched by the outstanding service from the waitstaff. Highly recommended to all. Five stars!
The flat bread was wonderful. The egg plant was great; not at all stringy. The salmon unfortunately was very dry.
Ambiance is amazing but $325 for lunch is pretty steep. Three people had two glasses of wine. So in my mind this place is wonderful but definitely a splurge. Tip is included which I thought odd for a party of three for lunch
This was one of the best meal that I have ever eaten. The service staff and the bartender were very informed and personable. Eric gave us some of the history of Yuta and The Blue Sky Lodge while Matt & Elizabeth took excellent care during the meal. This restaurant and location will be a regular visit when I return to town. What a great place.
Stunning setting and beautiful views. Courteous, helpful, well-informed staff. Excellent food. We had the eggplant caviar and the brisket sandwich. Every detail perfect including how they did the pita bread with the former and the bread with the latter. Dessert was chocolate gelato and also prickly pear gelato. Totally perfect. Well chosen wine list (yes expensive of course). I will be back.
they accommodated our large group and the setting and service were fantastic. a bit of a journey up there but worth it.
Exceptional dining experience! We will definitely be back!
Amazing experience altogether. Superb food and vibe!
Staff was friendly and professional, unbelievable views and outstanding food. I especially loved the grilled octopus.
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time along all facets: service, ambiance, and food. The restaurant is tucked away in a new hotel in the mountains, so it felt intimate. The folks working were fabulous and accommodating for my family. Addressed us by name, made us feel welcome, and took great care of us. The food was fabulous. Perfectly done and more than enough - we were stuffed on octopus, chicken, and steak. The dessert you need to try is the chocolate mousse. You’re in for a treat if you love chocolate. I almost don’t want to recommend going here because I want to keep it to myself. 10/10 across the board.
This was the second time I've had dinner at Yuta restaurant located inside The Lodge at Blue Sky. I understand the head chef is from New York City and is quite well-known. The food is absolutely fantastic and the service wonderful. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. A few favorites of mine: for appetizers, the grilled octopus, beet salad and tuna are all incredible. The vegetarian pasta is a wonderful choice if you are not eating meat but for those that do, the steak is one of the best steaks I have ever had. (So tender, you don't even need/get a steak knife!) This is a must visit place to eat about 20 minutes from Park City.
Yuta has attentive staff, an excellent view and most important: phenomenal food! We sat outside on the patio and even saw a moose during dinner!! For appetizers, we enjoyed the tuna l'occidental and the grilled octopus! So yum, the tuna is hands down the best appetizer I've had in Park City. Moving into the main course, I ordered the Ribeye, which is huge and prepared so well (and by that, I mean medium rare) that you don't even need a steak knife to cut it. The homemade Worcestershire is outstanding and the bone marrow gratin that comes on the side is unique in a very, very good way. I 100% recommend Yuta, I will be back soon!
The resort is gorgeous and Yuta was excellent. The food, the presentation, and the service was excellent, I would highly recommend it for dinner. The mountain view from the dining room is icing on the cake. There’s a lot of great restaurants in downtown PC but this scene is more private and secluded.
Absolutely delightful food, great service and beautiful atmosphere!
One of the best dining experiences by far! Such a beautiful restaurant and amazing service!!
What a fabulous dining experience! Dinner at Yuta was the highlight of our stay and we look forward to returning. We especially enjoyed the grilled octopus and beet salad for appetizers- so delicious! Then had the steak and the salmon for the main entree- both cooked so perfectly they melt in your mouth. The service was top notch and the views were the icing on the decadent dessert. Highly recommend!!
Each and every member of the YUTA team embodies genuine personal engagement. A few glitches with white wine being too warm but was quickly rectified. Highlight was the Dry-Aged Wasatch Beef Rib-Eye was exceptional. Temperature, flavor ( with housemade Worcestershire) perfect! Can’t wait to return ! Bravo, Chef Zamarra!
Definitely for special occasions. NY style menu and foods. Outstanding atmosphere and services. Expensive, but worth it for a trip from PC or SLC
