   Sad as to how empty it was on a Saturday night. Very attentive and friendly service. The $50 tasting menu with saki pairing was more than adequate for all of us and was beautifully presented. Nice thing about an empty restaurant with tranquil surroundings is how nice it is to spend as much time as you wish and enjoying your company. I have previously tried the more expensive casing menus whichI don't see on menu any longer. Value wise we were all delighted and would return. As with all tasting menus, not all courses were universally enjoyed. That being said, there were no empty plates. Hope they attract more customers in the future.

   Based on the review and photos, I was looking forward to some memorably delicious experience. First, they only have the $50/6 course tasting menu, the 9 course menu mentioned in other posts was not available. We picked up take out dinner somewhere else on the way home. But the most disappointing was their chirashi sushi. There was a few shreds of raw fish slap on top, not particularly fresh or appetizing looking. If they were indeed of great quality, they were so small that I cannot tell nor properly taste!

   Very accommodation to dietary restrictions. Suggests they use bigger font size for their menus. Was difficult to read.

   Yunaghi is one of the few Japanese restaurants in Toronto that cooks kaiseki-style meals. It's a tasting menu of several small dishes that brings-out the Japanese way of cooking - raw, steamed, braised, in one meal, and artfully presented. It is very authentic and healthy. There's a total of nine dishes in the $80 meal. For $100 there are an added wagyu tartare, sweet shrimp and lobster (bite-sized pieces among the nine dishes). The price is expensive, but there is much skill in the method of cooking and presentation, more so than in sushi. The only disappointment in the dishes was the chicken strips on a bed of rice wrapped with nori. Not much skill in the dish and tasted bland. The nori quickly lost its crispness in the hot rice.    The food is absolutely fantastic; each dish on the tasting menu is an incredibly unique visual and edible creation. Highly recommended.

   always inventive. I love that you can go and try new and unique things. Everything is always beautifully presented. There are always some big hits (this time the steak and lobster, kobe & tuna appetizers). The minor misses are still fun (sparkling tomato appetizer) and the kitchen is always inventive. Staff consistently great and attentive.

   Perfect presentation!! Excellent menu, all items were so very tasty especially enjoyed the mukozuke and yakimono. Service was lovely. You definitely should try there.

   For the price, the portions were small. There were several dishes out of the Kaiseki tasting menu that were impressive but we were disappointed that we did not enjoy the flavour profile of many of the dishes. There are other Japanese restaurants in Toronto that more worthwhile unfortunately.

   It is difficult to find authentic Japanese food in Toronto, especially kaiseki cusine. Yunaghi offers an excellent series of small plates which incorporate some Canadian ingredients but are created in Japanese style. Well worth another visit, especially since I assume the menu changes seasonally.

    To cutdown food waste and save money, it seems like abandon à la carte menu is the trend across high end restaurants. I am not sure if Toronto eaters are ready for this trend. I personally had been to this restaurant 3 times. The latest was the Tues of this week, I love to take a friend there next week however which means I am going to have to repeat the food I already had. I always have to wait till they have a new menu coming.
