   Nice sushi place in a great location. Menu has changed a little since our last visit in 2021 - our favourite Holiday roll is no longer there, but there is plenty to choose from still.

   It was my son’s ninth birthday and he wanted Steamy Piggy’s wings. I took him to Yummy b/c it’s local. He now declared their sunset wings to be the best wings in San Diego lol.

   Loved our first dining experience at Yummy Sushi. Our server Alex was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the pickled cucumbers and chef’s omakase. 10/10!

   Worst service ever. The waiter took his time coming over then asks what we wanted even though we had no menus. I asked for an IPA and he said they had none and then stared at me. Ok cool, no help no menu. Had to ask someone else for menus. We got up and left after 20 minutes. Please don’t go here!!!! We went to The Henry which was 5 stars!!!!!

    The food was ok. The service was not that great, they did not even provide dishes for the soy sauce we had to ask for one, and they brought us one, three of us eating. The restaurant was very dirty, the windows had so many dust bunnies and what appeared to be years of grease, one of the servers, while nice and attentive was fairly dirty as well.     We come here as often as we can and generally enjoy it. I particularly enjoy the Coronado Beach roll, one of my favorites around town. The fish is always delicious and seems fresh and the cuts are meticulous and usually are large enough where it doesn't feel like the chef was holding back. This time it received a low rating in my opinion not because the food wasn't good, it was as tasty as usual, except a few of the sashimi cuts seemed rushed, but on a Saturday night the service was noticeably bad. It appeared there were only two actual servers, one was mainly servicing the tables in the back while the other appeared to be a manager who was trying to juggle a lot of other work. We waited a while to have our orders taken, granted it was in the 5-10 minute range but that's a while when you've looked over the menu, used the restroom, and haven't received your water yet. When we finally had our order taken the manager was polite and apologized without us needing to say anything. We all asked for wasabi and ginger unfortunately it didn't come, we had to ask again and when it was brought out it was barely enough for one person and didn't come with the small "dipping" bowls, and we had three in our group. The bussers were all over doing everything they could it just would've been nice to have one or two of them be a dedicated server to help out. When the food was brought they often weren't sure who it went to. We weren't the only ones experiencing this, you could hear the rumblings at the tables behind and in front of us. Hopefully this experience was a one off because we really enjoy coming here and the food is always good.

    I dislike giving a restaurant a not so good review but I, as a business owner, would like for Customers to tell me the truth in order to improve. That said, I’ve given Yummy Sushi three chances in the last 6-7 years, with the experience being the same in all of them. Unfortunately I will not be coming back as the spotty service, foul smell of the place, stale sushi rice (key ingredient as sushi lovers know) and not the best quality of fish makes the dining experience not worth the price. Coronado deserves better.

    Yummy is definitely one of our go to sushi restaurants here in San Diego! Our favorites and items that we order EVERY time we dine (which is at least once a week) are: Spicy Garlic Edamame Crispy Philly Wontons 3 Amigos Roll Long Weekend Roll Yummy Crispy Roll Yellowtail Special Tuna Tataki Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Toro Nigiri (It’s like butter! TOP quality) Truffle Amaebi Wagyu Nigiri Salmon Nigiri To drink the Red Passion and Strawberry Sake Don’t forget to order fresh wasabi to garnish on your nigiri and rolls!     The sushi was delicious. It’s a great family place, noisy. Service was good. Sushi bar was busy so, we waited a little longer than usual for food. The waiter asked us if we wanted more drinks or edamame while we waited. Overall food and service was great on a very busy night.

    Great service. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. However, the food was overpriced for its quality. The chirashi was $85 - not worth for the types of fish and their quality. I have gone to other restaurants and had chirashi with uni (sea urchin) and toro tuna for only $60. I usually like spicy tuna a lot. The spicy tuna did not have a hint of spiciness at all. I don’t think I will come back here again.

    The sushi is always fresh and delicious. service is great. This time food was brought out very quickly. I think our waitress was new only because we are regulars here and she was awesome. Very attentive and quick. Overall a great place.

    The sushi here is always top notch. I often find myself ordering the same things but I really don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Pro tip: go at sunset and enjoy the view

    Il locale è semplice senza troppe pretese, la qualità del cibo è ottima, il servizio cortese e professionale, il prezzo però per me e' spropositato, 55 $ + tasse+ tip per 10 fettine di sashimi/pesce per un peso complessivo non superiore a 300 grammi!!     This was our second time to Yummy's after going to the Lamb's theater matinee. Again we chose beer, sushi, and seaweed salad and they were yummy. The Hotel Del Coronado Roll was $21 each (about 6 or 7 rolls -can't remember) and the Rainbow roll was $17 each, seaweed salad (about ½ cup) $7 each...all with a choice of wasabi and pickled ginger. The noise level was high, 70 db I recorded on my iPhone. The people were very loud behind us. Chairs and tables made from inexpensive materials that don't absorb sound. The beach is only a block or so away to view. And we plan on going there again.

    Food quality was decent. Pricing is absurd, quantity wasn’t great, but the service was horrible. It took 40 minutes to get 2 rolls when the restaurant wasn’t even very busy. The server wasn’t very friendly and never told us the wait was going to be that long. He seemed to have forgotten about us.
