   The restaurant was loud and dark. The wait was friendly. Food was just ok. My daughter had a Caesar salad with chicken which was ok. Her friend had the kid’s sliders and was disappointed they didn’t come with cheese. The side of fries was tiny. I had a seared ahi salad. The ahi was good but salad was very salty. I am sensitive to salt, so it may have been my tastebuds rather than too much salt. I ate all of it because we skipped lunch. Not sure I’d go back given the overall experience.

   Very good and Mateo did provide good service. Just very loud and noisy. (Beyond their control) Had the Jumbalaya and my wife had the Pad Thai. Such huge portions couldn’t finish it all and had to take the rest home. Overall, we liked it and would come back next time in the area. However, I do highly recommend trying this place out.

    I reserved with OpenTable here and showed up 2 minutes after the reservation. They had given away my table and made me wait. I saw 3 other parties (non reservation) seated before me. What’s the point of making a reservation? Open table should not work with this restaurant. In any case, There are better places next door.
