   BEWARE — RESTAURANT IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED. We had a “reservation” for 7/22/2022 but when we showed up, it was shuttered. A ghost town. Luckily, the bartenders at the neighboring hotel pool saved our night (shout out to Justin and Nick) by giving us drinks and helping us secure food from the other hotel restaurant downstairs. We ended up having a great night because of them, but I don’t want any other OpenTable customers making reservations to a place that doesn’t exist anymore. The managers of Yaki Q need to get their act together and shut down reservations — I can see they’re still available for this week — but the hotel employees told us that they’re getting rid of Yaki Q and turning it into a burger/nachos type restaurant for the pool guests.

   The best thing about yaki is the food. But it seems they limited the menu from before which was disappointing. Everything was still excellent. Service was good, but it seemed they were understaffed. With the exec chef leaving I probably won’t come back due to the changes that I already noticed not being up to par to what it used to be.

   We were looking for a dinner before our show at the Pantages . We should have parked in our prepaid parking lot and walked to the Hotel but we were not sure of the length of walk . The Hotel is beautiful. We valet parked , the attendant was extremely helpful. Went right to the 5th floor pool/outside restaurant , great table over looking the City . The service was limited and we were a little worried about getting to the show on time . Once we ordered the food came out fast and delicious. Leaving was difficult. We had to check out at the front desk to pay for the valet , there was only one person checking in people so it was a wait . They should let you pay the valet outside . This was my only complaint .

   Simply fantastic! The waiter was phenomenal - what a hard worker, my gosh! We were all very impressed by him. The food was ecclectic and delicious. Presented beautifully and full of flavor. Great dinner before we headed to the Hollywood Bowl! Thank you

   A beautiful perch above the city and the server warm and attentive. The food- almost every dish- was seriously disappointing. It was over fried, over flavored and too much sugar in every dish. The menu is ambitious and I hope they are able to improve the quality.

   Our reservation time ran late because they were short staffed but it was ok with us because it’s such a nice place to sit and talk. Once we were able to order everything was PERFECT. Food was delicious, service was great, prices are good. Can’t wait to go back.

    We are staying at the Kimpton and decided to eat on the rooftop at this pop up. Amazing food and service. THE best pork belly I have ever tasted. Beautiful presentation as well.

    Had a really great date night before seeing Hamilton - the staff was friendly and quick. The chef was incredible and was checking in on us. The food was DELICIOUS! Was a quick walk to the Pantages and a perfect night.

    Stunning! We’d like it to remain a “secret” but it’s also important to shout from the 5th Floor of the Kimpton hotel how amazing the food was. We will be back again and again, can’t wait for brunch!

    I was disappointed because to my surprise I arrived at the hotel lobby and was told that the restaurant didn’t open that evening. My date was ruined and I was embarrassed thinking that I had made a reservation. I don’t understand why I would be allowed to make a reservation if the restaurant was closed.

    Amazing restaurant. The service is absolutely incredible everyone is so friendly. We met two serves who were brothers and they talked highly of their boss and workplace. The head chef came over and greeted us when we sat down. Amazing environment to eat at with the freshest food. Perfect for a date or going out with some friends.

    Love love love this place. The service and food is impeccable. I do warn as it gets colder to bring a jacket. It’s LA on a rooftop and I watch Ill prepared guests blame everyone but themselves for not coming ready for that.

    Fantastic food and service! The shrimp and octopus grilled skewers were SO delicious! Tried several of the small plates, which weren't actually small - enough for 3 people - ALL wonderful. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

    Kind of a cool hidden away place---rooftop at the Kimpton Hotel in Hollywood. Food was delicious, and the chef even made the rounds himself to check in on us. The wait staff was a bit overwhelmed, with two servers serving the entire rooftop, but the short rib buns were great, as was the crab pasta. i think this is a hidden gem.

    Wow! What an Amazing experience! Where do I begin…the service was top notch! The host , our waiter Riley alone will bring us back again. The food was fantastic with an open air kitchen and flavors emanating thru the night air. So many choices and also Dairy Free /Gluten Free options which is very difficult to find. Definitely think of Yaki for a Special occasion, Date Night , Outdoor Dining experience and so much more. Maybe you just want to experience an amazing staff and feel like the truly love making your experience is they best ever!
