Great night, had a good dinner before going to see Seinfeld at the Myerhoff. Great food and fast service! Thank you!
Great experience. Thank you for the wonderful dinner and service .
Absolutely delicious food. Every meal had incredible flavor!
Excellent excellent excellent! Went the small plates route. Crab topping on the oven baked oysters was a nice touch. Crab and asparagus flatbread looked to be overrun with asparagus but was a perfect match. Smoked turkey soup tasted like Thanksgiving in a bowl. Fried soft shell crabs were tasty.
The service was excellent, but I expected more entrees with healthier ingredients or vegetable options. It's a great place to experience comfort foods.
Hidden gem. Excellent meal and service experience in a warm and cozy rustic ambience. Bread pudding extraordinaire! Our first visit. Will return and highly recommended.
At least twice I have sworn never to return to Woodberry Kitchen -- it is just so damn noisy that table conversation is impossible. But it was Mother's Day, and the mother of the house made the call -- Woodberry Kitchen. I am glad she did. The food is just so good that you can put up with a little noise. And in fact, possibly because all the attendant mothers were shushing their offspring -- well, it was still pretty loud, but the matriarch and I were able to converse happily. And the brunch was outstanding. Woodberry Kitchen's menu falls within the range of what normal people like to eat -- no show-off exotica -- but it is so much better than similar food elsewhere. We had a perfect green salad. How many lettuce leaves had to be discarded so that only the freshest ones got to our table? My oyster-loving wife got a platter with five of the mollusks topped with dollops of crab imperial: exquisite! She asked for some toast to pair with it. For some reason (probably extra butter) this toast was far superior to what I make at home. Toast! Who goes to a restaurant and comes out raving about the toast? I ordered the flatbread breakfast. It looks like a pizza: a big round of bread topped with ham, sausage, onions, cheese and eggs. Again, fairly standard food, but excellent. The portion was so generous that we took half of it home, where it made a fine Monday morning breakfast for two. For dessert a satisfying bread pudding. Any quibbles? A few. I thought the French-press coffee was pretty routine. And the cocktails were tasty but either overpriced or undersized. And why couldn't both cocktails come at the same time? Apparently one is made in the regular bar and the other in some corner. (?) It took several reminders to get the second one delivered. Same thing about that wonderful toast. My wife had to stare hungrily at her oysters for quite a while before it arrived. Still, I am reformed. I swear that I shall return to Woodberry Kitchen (noisy or not).
Food was good and service was excellent. However, the menu was too limited and expensive.
We are in Baltimore all the time and had never been to Woodberry Kitchen fro dinner. Loved it and will be back
Awesome service and food is always perfect
Still an excellent meal and fun spot for a night out.
Disappointing. Oysters had no flavor. Cocktails are smaller now and don't taste as good as before. Waiter was great until after the appetizers arrived then he vanished. Waited 10 minutes for empty glasses to be taken away from our tiny table. Waited another 10 minutes and flagged waiter down to get a glass of wine. Entrees and dessert were good. Overall the meal was not worth what they charge. Too many other good options in the area for less money. I am just not wowed by WK like i was 5 years ago. Not even close. Won't be back for quite a while of ever. PS...bring back Parts and Labor!!!
Good food ( though beef tough), but much too expensive
Liam, our server, went above and beyond in terms of service. He answered our every question about things on the menu, was extremely attentive, and was very personable. The food matched Liam's service. We will definitely be going back.
Wonderful creative food in a splendid setting. Will definitely return, soon!
The food was very good, but the service was very slow.
Excellent meal! Trip tip steak had the best surface flavor and texture I have ever had.
Old fashion cocktails were fantastic. oysters were outstanding. Would recommend to any foodie out there.
This has become a yearly tradition on our anniversary. One year we did this on a whim and we have continued it since. The appetizers are always nice, the short ribs were amazing -- I'm so glad I didnt get the burger because the short ribs were as amazing as the server suggested. We typically get the CMP but again at the server's suggestion we tried the chocolate pudding. It was as good as stated.
I celebrated my birthday with my husband and friends and the meal and experience will long be remembered as one of the top five in my 60 years! Every aspect was stellar, from beginning to end. Thank you!
best place ive been to in a long time . good for any occasion
The food was amazing as always.
Woodberry kitchen is excellent out server Jerome was patient, informative and an excellent waiter. This place gets it!!!
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday! Food and service was impeccable!
Amazing ambience and food as always!
A really great place with locally sourced produce other than wine coffee and tea. As a result the menu changes frequently. The corn bread and biscuits are to die for and the crab cake is probably the best I have ever had. Portion size perfect unlike others that try and compensate poor quality by quantity.
I love your creative approach to food--especially the buttermilk tempura vegetables I had during a previous dinner-- but my baby brother didn't like the nouveau horseradish-- fresh shavings of the plant that were barely recognizable as horseradish. I'm open to new interpretations of all kinds of food, but I'd dump this one.
The service and setting were great. The menu is a bit pretentious. The food was just ok for the high price. The cocktail was very good.
Cramped and expensive. We wanted to celebrate our engagement but we were inches from other people, it felt very cramped. We got ok service, but the prices were outrageous for the lack of experience. I don't need to go back. There are other nice restaurants in Baltimore.
Staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable on menu. As always food was delicious! Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Fabulous dinner - Innovative menu with locally sourced ingredients in a gorgeous string!
One of the most authentic restaurants in the city. Loved bringing outside guests here.
Absolutely. Though we experienced some issues with service, the service team was gracious and the food delicious.
Woodberry Kitchen was simply amazing; the cuisine, the service, and the ambiance were all top-notch. We enjoyed our dinner on the patio.
A very nice dining experience, excellent service and delicious food.
An excellent meal -- again! Keep up the good work.
Our server was pompous our food disappointing and the menu very different then the one posted online without any statement about a daily change in choices. Using superfluous words for simple descriptions only makes the patron need more time to make and understand menu choice! So terribly disappointed!!
This is my fourth time to Woodberry Kitchen and always excellent food. This time I found the menu so overly pretentious and took too much energy to really understand what your were ordering. Yes, it is great food but not so unique that I should need an extensive dialogue with the waiter and a dictionary. Cocktail menu overly complex for what are basically good drinks that everyone else is doing. A flight of cider was basically three small pours in beat up water glasses plunked down randomly on the table. I ordered a tomato flatbread which was good but basically a cheese pizza nothing more. The main dishes were really great but not as phenomenal or unique as described on the menu. I mentioned at the end of dinner to the waiter that I felt this menu was written in an overly pretentious way and wow did he get defensive! Maybe someone had brought this up before? Please you do have great food, farm to table, but your menu descriptions are very inflated and basically make it hard to order what you would really like. The waiter's solution was to ask more questions which is hard to do when in the middle of a very busy restaurant with high noise volume. As I said an excellent restaurant but not as creative and unique as presented.
Fantastic as always! This place never disappoints! My favorite go-to place for fine dining!
Just as good as everyone says it is. We've been many times over the years and it has been consistently exciting and delicious. Crab pot, flatbreads, and desserts are favorites but there are always new things to try. Don't skip the cocktails. Very creative and unique.
