Another trip to Woodberry and another fantastic experience. Keep up the great work!
I had the pleasure of coming for brunch on a rainy Sunday. The outdoor seating was nil, as it was pouring down rain, but I was seated with my guest immediately. The fire from the pizza oven was incredibly warming and the staff was just the same.
I had Liz as my server and her attention to detail was spot on. She was kind and warm, incredibly familiar with the menu (which changes almost daily) and had spot on recommendations. Her laugh is one of the most memorable moments of the meal. My guest has celiacs and was given an entire gluten free menu, which is almost unheard of. The gluten free biscuit (I stole some) was out of this world.
I had the WK Doughnut, not too sweet and perfectly balanced, and was blown away. We had the (amazing) deviled eggs as well as the Kilt Greens. The Greens were sauteed to perfection, tender with a bit of bite left to them, dressed in a mustard vinaigrette with the right amount of punch. I'm hesitant when it comes to a mustard vinaigrette, they're usually overpowering, but the greens with the mushrooms and apples is worth the trip alone.
I had the Croque Madame for my entree and was not disappointed. I was utterly stuffed by the end of the meal, but could not let this delicious sandwich served in a cast iron pan go to waste. My guest had Beau's Breakfast (with the gluten free biscuit) and he cleaned his plate. The bacon was delicious (I'm quick with a fork).
When asked about dessert, even though we were either going to pop or fall into a comatose state of pure fulfillment, I opted for the raspberry yogurt sorbet. It was light, bright and the perfect end to a meal I will remember for years.
Liz was phenomenal, the food was out of this world and if you don't go, you're utterly crazy.
*Make sure to get the French Press, the Barista brings it to the table (Larry?). It was the perfect start for a chilly and rainy fall brunch
*Don't miss the wine list, the Bohemia Manor Farms Brut Rose is 11/10
First time here! It had been on my list for quite some time and everything was exceptional. From the time we walked in and were greeted warmly by our hostess, to our main server Allie who went above and beyond, to all the servers who were just as warm and friendly the day was momentous. Since we were in a celebratory mood for brunch we ordered quite a bit. This is the first Bloody Mary I personally have ever had which made me want to order another (fresh and delicious with equal balance of fruit and alcohol) Snake Charmer drink was good as well. Crab pot was mouth watering with delicious chunks of crabmeat and melted cheese. Can’t remember the name of our other dish with crab meat, sunny side eggs on English muffin with potatoes but i highly recommend it i guess i could have stopped there but I had to indulge in dessert. Fresh fruit with ice cream which our server delivered with warm greetings for our celebration. Will definitely be back to enjoy the ambiance and yes the excellent service and food.
Excellent across the board. Wonderful birthday dinner celebration for our son.
Food was excellent and service was awesome
Our waiter Nick was the best. Our wait for dinner was very long over an hour. The outdoor seating was lovely on the fall evening we went. Food was excellent. Best crab cake ever!
Our favorite place in Baltimore - great food, friendly staff, and love the vibe. Love the fact we can relax after a long week and have a 5 star experience in casual clothes without feeling out of place!
Love the food. Love the energy of the environment.
Our first visit to Woodberry Kitchen/dining out in Baltimore. We were really impressed start to finish and look forward to returning soon.
Absolutely fantastic - food unreal. Service warm and doting. The perfect dinner out. Every time. Memorable and special. Pure magic.
Haven't been to Woodberry Kitchen in about 2 years. Last visit was horrendous. We waited for an hour with a reservation because the management didn't know how to make decisions on the fly. We waited for a table of 4 men who had finished their meal, paid their bill, then decided to have another cup of coffee. We ended up leaving. And this was the second instance where we waited for over 45 minutes with a reservation. I swore I would never return. On a whim, we went back this weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Food was as good as always. Management and service were so much better. Fingers crossed that it was not an isolated good night. We will try again to be sure.
Can't wait to go back. The service was amazing as was the food
I took my wife here for real food and we loved it. The food, service and atmosphere was a great experience not to mention the area I grew up in and it was my wife's Birthday so the dessert platter came out with a happy birthday written in chocolate .. Thanks for the awesome experience. We will be back.
Amazing food and service!
Don’t mind paying for top quality food and service. Haven’t been back to Woodberry Kitchen in a few years. Service was slow and disjointed at best. Table was stuck against the coffee station. Food was very well prepared. Manhampden cocktails were weak and comically tiny. Great place gone down hill. Won’t be back. Too many other good options. Shame. Such a cool spot.
Sat at the bar, had excellent service. Quick, friendly, knowledgeable. Food was top-notch. Ambiance was perfect for a date (our anniversary). Will definitely be returning.
My wife is Russian and still learning English. She accidentally ordered her steak rare when she meant well done. The staff was friendly and polite, they quickly corrected the mistake even though it was our fault. Great service!
The food and service were both excellent!
Been here a number of times - was one of the first restaurants I went to in Baltimore and I loved that initial experience. With that said, I just don't feel the same about it and probably won't return. It is grossly expensive for what you get. Example - I ordered the soup and when the brought the bowl over I thought they had to be kidding - it didn't even cover the spoon and it was $15. Service was spotty and I felt like we had to keep flagging our waitress down when we needed something. Food just isn't that special to justify the price. I feel like there is too much of an attitude. Too bad really.
Wonderful meal in a beautiful location.
We had an outstanding meal and service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. We will return soon.
Delicious food in an ambience that is upscale yet cozy. Food tasted fresh and plenty of vegetarian options.
Delicious brunch. Lots of great gluten free options. Great staff.
Always great for brunch. You could stop at the pastry board and go home happy, but everything else is excellent as well.
Our server was phenomenal. Very knowlegable kind, and patient with our questions. Food was great, as expected (had never been here for brunch before). Coffee was amazing as well. Host staff was friendly. Good experience all around.
Amazing service, creative, but limited menu, great wine list, and the firepit outside after dinner was the perfect ending with an after dinner drink and even lap blankets!
This is a fabulous restaurant....all food is locally sourced and as fresh as any I have ever had. While I am not a foodie, I really loved WK and will come back. The food was delicious and the service was personal and impeccable...prices are reasonable and I did not feel as if we were ripped off....this was a very good value and experience all around. I can see why it's difficult to get reservations at WK.
Beautiful space both indoors and out. If you sit inside, choose upstairs seating, but if it's a nice day, outside is lovely. You can even order at the bar and sit by the fire pit but then you're on your own. Table service was slow but gracious; bar service was rude. The food was excellent, delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Would recommend.
We love Woodberry- this trip unfortunately wasn’t a great example of why.
Disappointed. i have very high expectations of Woodberry kitchen. I was excited to try it for brunch. But the meals were expensive, and the food was not great.
I always have a great time when I come through. Love what they did to the place. Keep up the great work!
Very good food (simple things). Very friendly but somewhat disorganized and slow service--admittedly outside, so that may slow things down.
Our food was great but the service was a bit slow.
As always, this place lives up to my opinion of being the best restaurant in Baltimore. The staff, food, ambience and overall experience never disappoint- nay, they never fail to knock your socks off. If you're looking for everything you'd hope for in a dining experience, then Woodberry Kitchen is the best place to find it in Baltimore. I applaud the owners and staff for their level of dedication and attention to make every visit a magical experience 💙.
Great appetizers. Great cocktails. Great dinner. Friendly waiters. Awesome desserts.
Great food and service. Hope to stop by another time when in Baltimore again.
Great fresh local fare with great service
As usual, brunch at WK was a treat. And as usual, Mariam and the rest of the staff provided excellent service.
Good food and reasonable prices
My husband and I spent a weekend in Baltimore as his birthday gift. Friends of ours recommended Woodberry Kitchen, so I made a reservation for 7:30PM. We arrived at the restaurant in time for our reservation, but were told that there was a slight delay in seating. We waited about 10 minutes before notifying the host we would sit outside by the firepit. 40 minutes later we went back to the host stand to see how much longer it would be before we were seated. The host was very apologetic citing that a last-minute private booking was the reason they were running behind. She profusely apologized, said that they would certainly provide complimentary drinks and snacks as a way to apologize for the delay. We sat down at our table at 8:20, almost an hour after our reservation.
The service was fine but they were clearly running around. However, while we were waiting, we noted that the management staff were casually strolling around, rearranging chairs around the fire pit but never came to check on us. While we were at our table we saw other tables receiving apologies by management and yet we were still ignored. The food was fine. I don't recommend getting the delicata squash. I am a fan of squash, but this had a weird taste. No one asked how our food was and whether or not there were any issues. Nothing was complimentary, there were no snacks or drinks on the house.
Normally, I wouldn't expect that the restaurant "owed" us anything for free, and we didn't ask for anything. However, we were told that there would be and received no special treatment. This certainly wasn't how I wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was really disappointing.
