Wood Ash Rye
We have been here 4 times now and have loved it every single time. Always fresh and delicious!
Loved the set up of the restaurant; it had a very welcoming feel. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious, but for a place that describes its plates as "shareable", the portions were on the small side.
Everything was great! We tried multiple items on the menu and nothing disappointed. Service was prompt and overall it was a great experience, highly recommended.
We had a 1pm reservation and did not realize the full menu was unavailable. The brunch offerings were good and were enjoyed. I was very much looking forward to items that were only available on the other menu. Should we return to the area, I will try the duck tacos. The restaurant is small and quaint. Loved the atmosphere. Service was slow and inattentive. Food was quite good but not everything arrived hot. There were 3 of us dining so not a large party. In fact only one large party and they were done so no visible reason. Would I recommend them? Yes Would I go back? Definitely. Hopeful for a better experience next time. Location is good too. Near some cute shops always a plus
Always great place to eat
Food was decent. Was expecting more. Service was good and environment was good.
Slightly overcooked steak. Otherwise, good.
The featured grilled swordfish was perfect as was the accompanying vegetable. The service was excellent. We were too full to order dessert, which means we will return for their incredible bread pudding!
I really enjoy the entire experience at WAR. The food and drinks are excellent and service is always exceptional. This is our go to for mom & dad date night!
Our first time here and we loved it. Great food and service. Will definitely be back!
Started with amazing drinks in the bar finished us with outstanding food. Definitely want to try this one out
We had a 6:15 pm reservation on a Saturday night, so when we arrived it was solidly busy and LOUD. We requested a table in a little quieter of an area, but were told those were all reserved for bigger parties. That's understandable, but the acoustics where we were seated made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation until a certain percentage of people left the restaurant halfway through our meal. On the plus side, the food we ordered as shared plates was very good. The lamb in the shwarma was perfectly cooked and the shrimp dish with succotash was excellent. We also had the opah, which was good and a generous portion size. They have a decent, curated selection of wines, which we ordered a bottle from. The dessert menu didn't really offer anything of interest to us personally, but we did have coffee at the end of our meal, which was good. Our waitress was kind and attentive and gave us good, professional service. The valet out back was super sweet, and even managed to have our car ready and waiting for us when we walked out of the hotel the restaurant is located in. We really did enjoy the food and service, but if noise level is an issue for you, I recommend you only dine here at off peak times.
Great tasting food, wonderful staff. Definitely will repeat !
Some of the dishes are fantastic while others were quite bland. The dishes are served to share and brought out as they are made meaning you may get your main dishes before your appetizers. Plates were somewhat small.
The food was amazing. If I had to critique one thing it would be that we waited too long for our second main dish the steak and frites. Other than that everything was right on. Thank you.
Small portions for the cost of dishes but everything had amazing flavors.
Had a nice family dinner!
The ambience had an odd vibe due to the lack of service. Food was above average, but the service was awkward and slow. Has potential with better management.
Excellent always! We love it here!
I don’t know if they were short kitchen staff but our food arrived one person at a time, 10 minutes apart. People were finishing their breakfast while others hadn’t got theirs yet. It took them 40 minutes to make a side of scrambled eggs. Poor service, okay food, definitely not worth the wait.
Jae was wonderful!
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal & experience. The food options were unique, the sizes are intended to be shareable with table. The service was friendly & accommodating. We felt comfortable and were able to relax after a long travel day. We’d return if ever in the area again!
Stopped in st George for the night. Luckily we had made reservations at wood ash rye. It was fantastic! Interesting food and good service. What more do you need!?!
Love the food here. The model, though, of all of the food coming out at once/when ready is less than desirable, so know going in to order your items one or two at a time, otherwise you can end up with a table full of food and it feels overwhelming! Also, when there are only two of you, some of the portions are a lot.
My sisters and I ate at the Wood Ash Rye restaurant twice during our stay in Springdale it was that good. We did say we would have loved to have tried everything on the menu. We had the turkey sandwich, the pappardelle and the salmon takara plus the brownie with coconut ice cream our second time around....everything was delicious. You can't go wrong with what you order.
Very enjoyable meal. Food was very good. Service was inconsistent, as it seems like they were training a lot of new staff. Definitely recommend and we will return on our next visit to St George in a couple of months.
Have heard such good things about W.A.R. and it was great. Very attentive service and the food was delicious. Biscuits are too die for. We ate early so not a lot of people before the dinner rush and was impressed that all the employees kept busy with prep & cleaning. No standing around chatting. Will def be back!
Food was delicious! Service was alright
Food was great. Service was poor. Seemed under staffed. Took 20 minutes to get our drink order, and my husband never got his juice which he asked for twice.
Some portions seemed small, others huge, pasta a tad salty but overall very well put-together flavors
Love it and the Pork Belly and watermelon was amazing, but everything was fabulous.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Everything we ordered was excellent.
Get the biscuits. Every single time. We love W.A.R., but wish they would switch up their menu more often. You usually get good service. Normally dining is around 2 hours. This time we did have to send a very over cooked steak back. We will be back when the menu changes for sure!
Great food, good atmosphere, have been several time and will keep going back.
Birthday for myself and my Father. We share the same birthday and we received two free deserts for our Birthday dinner here. I thought that was above and beyond! Excellent service and delicious fresh food. We shared the entrees & small plates. So my only complaint would be a bigger plate & more serving utensils! Delicious...we’ll be back.
Food quality was excellent and service was great.
Food comes out as it done and shareable. You can ask for more traditional style if you like but this worked out really well sharing as it arrived
Amazing restaurant in the hotel lobby. My wife & I are big fans of Autograph Collection hotels and this restaurant lived up to our expectations. Great decor and style. Several items to choice from on the menu. The chicken in a biscuit was unreal!
The best breakfast I have had in a very long time. Delicious!
The food was very tasty. We enjoyed the lamb Korea with hummus and Naan, and the four assorted tacos. Original flavors. Service to get second round of wine was slow. The marble topped tables were covered in water ring stains. We were assured the tables were clean even tho they didn't look it.
