We went here for New Years Eve and it was the best! Great food, great fun, great service (Max and Ryan) and great ambience. They had hats and noisemakers and a small group of us gathered on the patio to ring it the New Year. So much fun! It was all super safe and Covid controlled and Wally made it so special for all of us. Can't recommend it highly enough!
Excellent service. Great food and ambience.
Exceptional across the board. We had dinner for my husband's birthday. The staff made him feel special from the start with a birthday greeting at the door and complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. Each dish we ordered was delicious, starting with the Cesar salad (dressing just right) and then moving on to the Seabass (melts in your mouth), shrimp with linguini (subtle spicey kick, perfect balance of flavors), and their yummy take on Mac n cheese (with just the right cheeses and a creative topping of Cheezits). The waiter was patient, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and drink options, and just generally great. Highly recommend. We will return.
The chicken and waffle did not have any flavor.
Every dish was fantastic and customer service was 10/10.
Went to dine before seeing Hamilton and the food and service was phenomenal!
Great setting. Good drinks. Great food. Thanks for honoring the mask/vac mandate.
We selected Wood and Vine because it is across the street from the Pantages, and we had tickets that night. But will definitely be going back again as soon as possible because the experience was wonderful.
Our server, Rachel, was AMAZING! She treated us like celebrities :)
The food was great, we had the filet for two, perfectly cooked. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic. The donuts for dessert were even better than we expected… can’t say enough wonderful things about Wood and Vine
This was the second time my husband and I ate here. The food was as good as we remember! The staff is very, very friendly. We were seated immediately and our wait staff was on top of everything. Thank you for a great experience again!
The food was really good and the cocktails were amazing! Great staff and lovely outdoor area.
Went before seeing Hamilton at the Pantages. It’s directly across Hollywood by the metro stop and the W. Good vibe, yummy food, super friendly waitress that we chatted with for a while. Some of the cast members from Hamilton were there grabbing a drink, which was cool. Everything is designed to be family style. Highly recommend the shells and cheese with crushed cheese crackers on top. Nice little comfort food dish. I would pass on the brussel sprouts. We are both big fans generally, but these were very crispy and charred.
Food was amazing! The shrimp linguine was superb. My friends short ribs were amazing but she only got 2 pieces of carrots with the mashed potatoes. Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese were delicious. Great place to eat before seeing a play.
Has a nice vibe if you’re not shoved in to a corner table that’s less than a foot from another. When it’s crowded it’s not comfortable to eat there or talk.
We really loved this place. Excellent food, service and ambiance!
Celebrating both our birthdays, my wife and I had one of the best meals in recent memory, at the Wood & Vine. We had the Chilean Sea Bass with their amazing brussel sprouts in sweet chili sauce, paired with their Watchtower white wine, followed by Norma's magical donut holes. Outstanding!
visit the Wood!
We preferred the High Top section because it was a bit quieter than the ground floor. With the film industry as a main theme and our waitress Holly to happily help us navigate the many menu options, it truly was a perfect evening and a great way to experience the Hollywood culture which we will never forget. We will be back next time we

Our second visit and we were just as blown away as the first visit. Our server was so kind and engaging. Like we made a new friend! The food was just as good as we remembered. Thank you all so much!
Food was good. Server was friendly. I ordered a salad “ start with” but received the entree first. They were out of donuts, they don’t have an espresso machine. Otherwise, it was good.
After a horrible ride from South Orange County to Los Angeles Wood and Vine was a hit and a great start to the rest of the evening!
Loved this spot for a before the show meal. Great vibe, people watching on Hollywood Blvd along with good food from a fun menu and awesome service!
The food was yummy and it was such a convenient location for dinner before a show at the Pantages. The spinach dip was great and the shells and cheese were so good. They even offered to hold our leftovers during the show and we picked them up after. We will definitely return!
Always an excellent pre-theater choice. Creative drinks and a solid menu. Max was our server and he was great, as was all of the support staff.
Perfect bites prior to the show at Pantages. Speedy, courteous service. The place was busy, but they seemed to serve everyone in time for the show. Good food, moderately priced. Will be back.
Most important things first:
-Food was delicious
-Atmosphere was warm and classy
-Service was quick and friendly
-Location is awesome
Now the story - I was blown away by the kind treatment I got from the staff at Wood & Vine! Every year I take myself out for a fancy solo holiday date and this year I decided to treat myself to my first Pantages show to see Hamilton. The night was EXTRA special because I was also celebrating the completion of my Master's degree. When I made my reservation on OpenTable I included that as my reason for "CELEBRATING".
When I arrived (10 minutes late, thanks LA traffic) I was warmly greeted by the wonderful Wally and a hostess. They immediately said CONGRATS and took me to my table outside. I sat down and another staff member quickly brought me a glass of sparkling rośe and said it was on the house (!!!!) My waitress was also quick and helped me pick out the best solo dining option, which was the burger and caesar salad. It was SO good I actually ate the whole thing, and I'm usually a small-portions eater. I ordered a chocolate mousse to top it all off but ended up not needing it because my waitress brought me an order of donut holes, on the house!
I was truly humbled by the kindness the staff showed me. It made my solo date night and graduation celebration so special and I cannot thank them enough for the unexpected royal treatment!!!
I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to bring my friends and family there in the future.
The scallops and the short rib are delicious and definitely cap it all off with the butterscotch desert!
Everything was amazing, we ended up arriving a little early and were able to be seated right away. Perfect place to grab dinner and drinks before a show.
Excellent food, wine (Heroe), ambiance and service!
excellent restaurant really good food and reasonable prices. Great if you are going to the Pantages since it is right across the street. Will dine there again even we are not going to a show
A lovely Gastropub just off the otherwise ratty Hollywood Boulevard. If you want a rustic but elevated meal and bar experience, you can’t do better than this!
We had an excellent dinner, prepared very quickly, outstanding wine choice by the waiter and walked across the street to see Hamilton.
A wonderful evening was had by all!
Wood & Vine is the perfect spot for a pre-show dinner at the Pantages! We made a reservation for a standard table and sat up top on the mezzanine level which was lovely - service is prompt, and the food is incredible! Served as it is made which makes for a unique dining experience. Delicious cocktails as well. Their outdoor area is adorable as well. Highly recommend!
Small portions, high prices, very loud ambience
Great food and awesome, friendly staff. Will definitely be back next time we're in LA. Loved the different drink flights - whiskey and wine!
This restaurant is a must! Amazing food and drinks. Great service and ambiance is perfect.
Loved it! Had tickets to the Pantages, was so pleased with this choice for dinner before. Staff was super nice, they were very busy, the place has great ambiance. We shared all appetizers, and a few glasses of wine, it was lovely! Wish we had had a bit more time to hang out at this super cool eatery! Yum!
Not even a complaint… but a suggestion. Posted prices were absolutely reasonable. Food was delicious! Cocktails on point! When you order something marked “market price,” not a horrible idea to let the patron know the price… Like I said, not a complaint about the cost cause I was expecting a high end experience, but when the average meal price is roughly $40 and my market prices check comes out with a $150 steak price, I was a hair surprised. The overall experience was good to go, especially the staff. Maybe my etiquette wasn’t on point? Maybe theirs wasn’t? Whatever, wasn’t upset, simply surprised. I will eat here again!
Our server was very attentive and friendly. It is a great ambience! Our drinks took way too long though. We got our first dish before our cocktails.
The waiter was not good. The service was slow. Also. He wrote down the wrong item for my main course. So my main course had to be sent back and I had to wait for the chef to prepare what I actually ordered. Also. There was a required twenty percent tip put on the check for service that was incompetent? This is nonsense.
The food was wonderful. It was odd that all the plates were meant to share so they came out to the table as the food was ready. But it ended up being a wonderful experience where the table could try different things. The vibe outside was also fun with the black and white movies playing on the patio
We arrived early for our reservations because we planned to go to the play afterwards. The host was gracious and found us a table so we could make it on time. The servers were courteous and prompt. The food was delicious. Very impressed.
It’s a really nice place, great host when you walk in, he may be the manager or owner. Lovely service too! We were sat outside and it was a tight squeeze at a tiny table in the center, so felt a bit crowded. The food was not good and way over priced. I probably had the worst French fries I’ve ever had in my life and the vegetable risotto was boring and a tiny portion for its price. We got some free birthday champagne, which was a nice touch but $69 for fries, risotto and two cocktails feels like highway robbery. They need to get new chefs or something. Not good but I would go back for a cocktail!
