So expensive for the quality and the bad service.
Loved the bar, and the service. Food was pretty good. My girlfriend says they need to improve the wine selection. She's definitely on the fussy side though. They turned around a solid meal close to the theater and the host and waiters were attentive to who was going to what show so that folks made it out in time for doors opening. Think that is the most important thing in that location, so I say job well done.
Price for a dry burger meat was too much
We booked at Wood & Vine for a pre theatre dinner prior to Hamilton. We had moderate expectations based on some reviews.
I’m happy to report that the food was very good. We had the slow cooked short rib which was excellent. The cocktail (Manhattan) was perfect. I’m a bit of a food/cocktail snob, so that’s high praise.
Some reviews knocked the service. That was not our experience at all. It was attentive and friendly.
Perfect choice for pre-theatre dinner. 👍🏼👍🏼
Best place to eat before or after a show at the Pantages. Be sure and make reservations.
The meal and service was outstanding. The location for catching a show at the Pantages is perfect. The sea bass, short ribs, and spinach artichoke dip was phenomenal.
I’m sorry when you’re say “shareable plates” I assume for 34 dollars you get enough to share amongst 2 people. We got FOUR scallops. For 34 dollars. The. We get the basket of fries and half our burnt. On top of it we order the tuna Tartar and it’s about 4 bites (literally) for 16 bux. I understand this is Hollywood and you’re going to pay more for less but come on. The portions are out of control small for the price it’s not somewhere we will be visiting again.
Ate here before a show at the Pantages. Great drinks, food & atmosphere. We sat on the patio and loved the setting.
Went here with family prior to seeing Hamilton. Ambiance was relaxing and music in the background was delightfully old school and not too loud. The staff was friendly and attentive. The dishes were amazing. It could be pricey to the average person but I’m the type that is always willing to shell out for a good meal, and you get what you pay for here. We shared plates. Just enough food and impeccably seasoned. The cocktails were flavorful and well balanced. It was a great way to start a wonderful night. Would absolutely go here again.
Our waiter, Max, was delightful! Food was delicious! Location very convenient for post-Pantages dinner. Also appreciate the careful screening of vaccination card prior to being seated.
Let me just start by saying that if u are going to the Pantages, this is a great choice. The host and servers are great and really make you feel welcome. They are also really good with getting u and the food out for the theatre on time. However, beyond that the food is good at best. And the decor is really in need of a makeover. So yeah.
Fun ambiance, friendly service, tasty “comfort food “ all highly recommended.
Don’t miss the donut balls for desert.
Perfect for pre-theatre dining.
Excellent pre-theatre exper
Pre play dinner
Great food. Waiter Noah was awesome- recommendations were spot on. Perfect before Hamilton!
Great fun nice patio
We misjudged traffic and arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and were greeted with "no problem, let's get you a table." Servers were polite and responsive and allowed us to just take our time. Food was served in a timely manner following our ordering it. Salads were fresh, dressing seasoned properly. Portions were perfect. We will definitely come back again.
Enjoyed the food and patio, but the Cosmos had too much lime; not sweet enough.
Perfect location for before or after a show at the Pantages. The food we delicious and our server Hunter was very helpful. The Magnolia, mac & cheese and donut holes were our favorites.
My only complaint is that the scallops arrived at the table barely warm. They were good but I prefer my food to be warmer. Brussels sprouts were excellent. My husband said his sea bass was just warm also. The food came to the table very quickly, maybe only 5 minutes.
Dinner after Hamilton and it was delicious! Service was also great!
Food, drinks and atmosphere was great! The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious and the Accomplice cocktail is reason to visit again soon.
Our waitress was delightful & attentive. Bartender was an amazing mixologist. The Sea Bass and Brussel sprouts were delicious!
Went to see Hamilton
The host greeted us and wished us Happy Anniversary. (mentioned it when booking). Also our server brought us glass of Champaign on the house and wished us Happy anniversary. So nice and classy. Much appreciated. Food was great, had scallops and risotto! Ambiance right on point. We enjoyed and highly recommend.
Perfect for pre-Pantages dining! Ambiance on the patio was just perfect. Our waiter (Max?) was friendly, helpful and without pretension. Sea bass was tasty and cooked to perfection. Butterscotch ice cream lived up to the hype. Just a perfect start to my birthday celebration which was made even better when the desserts were comped!
Great place to dine before going to the Pantages. Right across the street. Limited menu but food was good. Service by Jaqueline was very good; prompt, friendly, attentive.
Note that they add a 20% service charge even for parties of two.
We had a great dinner on the back patio area. All the shared plates were great, wine was reasonably priced and good, and service was outstanding
While the meal was delish, the portion sizes seemed small for "shareable" plates. Will go back, though!
Going to show
Great patio; Perfect location for dinner before a show a Pantages.
Came here for a quick bite to eat before seeing Hanukkah across the street at the Pantages.
Ambiance was excellent - old Hollywood meets rustic dark bar vibe.
Every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful, including our server David.
Burger was underwhelming- but truly, I should have taken more time to try other dishes. Chicken and waffles were yum!! My cocktail was divine- as were the warm donut holes for dessert.
We will easily be back and will spend a longer amount of time here.
Also- loved the validated parking next door at the W. SUPER convenient in an area known for challenging parking options.
We had our table ready as soon as we arrived, the ambiance on the patio was beautiful and the food was very good. Only downfall is not understanding that the food came to the table as it was ready. However, once we understood the flow, we all tasted each others food and really enjoyed our experience. I would definitely come back! Perfectly tucked into the hustle and bustle and great spot of going to a play.
The staff was super friendly and the waitress was trying really hard she kept forgetting extra sauces and ingredients and having to run back down the stairs to get them so by the time she came back the food was cold the food quality itself was mediocre at best nothing was like outrageously delicious that would make me want to go back
The drink menu has something for everyone. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Get the donut holes for dessert.
Terrific food, great service. An oasis in an area you’d least expect to find it.
Horrible service from our waitress. Will never go back. She was rude, short tempered and aggressive towards us. One person in our group was "cut off" from drinking after only having 1 glass of wine. By this point we were seated for well over an hour, the rest of us had several drinks, everyone ate appetizers and main courses, and then when one member of our group ordered a 2nd glass of wine towards the end of their meal, we were told they were "cut off". To be clear, this person had one glass of wine over the course of 80 minutes. It made no sense.
We asked to speak to the manager since we were so confused. He came over and told us that particular waitress gets frequent complaints, and this is not the first time she's questionably "cut someone off". I don't know why the restaurant allows this to continue if it is a repeat issue.
Additionally, when asking for gluten free information, she rudely told us to "just look at the menu". We were unclear if the food was always GF, or optionally GF, and we were made to feel uncomfortable asking for more clarification.
The manager and the rest of the staff were friendly and it was clear they felt bad for us. The manager talked to us for 10 minutes, he was nice, and he comped one round of drinks, but we felt so uncomfortable by what happened we just wanted to leave immediately.
Everyone in our group has worked in the service industry before and understands the challenges. We make an effort to be friendly, considerate and conscious of those who are serving us. We all have bad days, understandable- but don't take it out on your customers.
Fun place to have dinner before catching a show! Can’t beat the location.
We made reservations at Wood & Vine before seeing Hamilton. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. We ordered the braised short ribs, Chilean Sea Bass, crispy Brussels sprouts, and ended with some yummy donut holes! This is the perfect restaurant to dine at before a show at the Pantages. We highly recommended Wood and Vine!
Overall enjoyed our pre theater meal. Sat at the bar as we were early for our reservation and ended up staying there as the bartender was attentive and helpful and exciting to watch as he mixed drinks! That was fortunate though since they came to get us for our reserved table 25 min late which would have been tough getting to the theater.
Popcorn shrimp was really good. Veggie risotto was OK. Riesling was wonderful. A mixed bag on taste. Not a huge selection for vegetarians but hugely accommodating for a food allergy. Thank you!
Comfortable bar seating, clean restrooms and masked staff. Would return.
