Fun night in Hollywood. Sat outside very cool atmosphere. Food good. Had the sea bass and burgers. Would go again.
Pre performance dinner and they did a great job!
It was great. We celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday and the staff made it so special. What a wonderful place - and the food was amazing.
Great place for a good bite to eat and a drink before heading over to the Pantages heater-which is directly across the street. We will be back.
The service was excellent! Our favorite things we ordered were the watermelon salad and the doughnuts. The wine menu was awesome! Thanks for a romantic date night - we’ll be back for sure!
The food and service were outstanding. Since there is a built in 20% service fee, the entire staff is working together to ensure your needs are met. We ordered the short ribs, shrimp linguine, and vegetable risotto and they were all delicious. We had tickets for Hamilton so the location of Wood and Vine was great and right accross the street from Pantages Theater!
Love this place! Great vegetarian options. Good cocktails. Very 'Hollywood' vibe, and good balance of classy but not pretentious. The inside is a little more dark and tavern-ey and the outside feels a little more spacious.
Perfect place for meal before the theater
From the welcoming to the wait staff, bus persons, everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was delicious as was the drink we had. Will definitely be going back!
The Chilean Sea Bass with risotto was one of the best I ever had!!
Fantastic specialty cocktails, and delicious pre-show snacks! We had a great relaxing afternoon on the patio (our first time not dining upstairs) and will definitely request it again!
Good vibes, good food, good drinks. Perfect before a show at Pantages
Many mistakes were made, from sending the wrong drink order to 'GF' item on menu being wrong, twice, to getting info about a drink completely wrong, to not getting our appetizer order correct then being REALLY late in getting it right, to being VERY delayed in getting dessert. We have no choice but to pay 20% as they auto-add it to your bill so you cannot reflect the bad service. BUT I do think a part of their bad service was the lack of staff (waiter had to serve too many tables) and mis-communication between the wait staff and cook/bartender perhaps due to them wearing masks - hard to understand so things got lost in translation. Their menu is already a bit limited and we were there when they opened but the one thing we wanted - braised short rib - was not available. That only left me with 2 GF options and one wasn't even really GF. VERY disappointed as we really wanted the short rib. I do NOT feel what we paid was even close to the value we received. Seems not right to have to pay an $5 to get cucumber so I could eat the dip as it comes w/ bread - that has never happened at any other restaurant. I mean really - $5 for cucumbers? So...not happy spending all that $ for not a great meal.
Excellent Meal. Try the Brussel Sprouts.
Amazing food and cocktails. The service was top notch! One of my favorite meals I’ve had. Highly recommend!
We went here before a performance at the theatre across the street. The service was so slow, which was very surprising. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Overall, the whole experience was just ok.
We stumbled upon this little gem, as this was our first time here. The restaurant has a cool, old Hollywood vibe with beautifully lit outdoor seating. They have classic black & white movies playing on the wall. The food is excellent! Try the sea bass on a bed of lobster risotto. It will not disappoint. The service was superb and the staff was friendly and accommodating! I'll definitely go back!
Great time overall. Good food and service. Love how they keep refreshing the water. Love to come here before a show across the street
We went there for a light bite before theatre (with a reservation) and were immediately seated. Multiple servers were friendly, prompt and efficient. The artichoke/spinach dip was excellent and no complaints re the Caesar salad.
One of the BEST all around experiences I have had. First off our waitress (I think her name is Jessica) was so kind and courteous and even gave us a free dessert being that our drinks took a little longer than expected…I wasn’t complaining.
The Chilean Sea Bass was honestly the BEST I’ve ever had and the risotto pairing was PERFECT!
My cocktail as well was Over the Top AMAZING! I had the Accomplice.
I am coming back for sure❣️
Always good experience here. Staff very attentive and professional. Food good but a bit pricey - but expected for the location and ambience
We had a great experience here! We were celebrating my birthday before seeing Hamilton. The service was impeccable. The front of the house manager (we didn’t catch his name…and we’re assuming he was the manager just based on his behavior) sat us at a high-top table directly overlooking Hollywood Blvd. Great for people-watching! But since we were at the front of the restaurant, we could overhear the host stand…and I have to say, we were so impressed with his service. He was so professional and friendly at the same time. And he did his best to accommodate everyone who showed up without a reservation. He was amazing to watch. Our server, Jackie, was also top-notch…and the food was all delicious. I would 100% go back the next time we go to a show at the Pantages. Highly recommend it!
The servers were understanding that we had a show to attend and rushed our orders out. We loved that! But the portions were way too small to share, yet the prices remained the same.
We love coming here, but were a little disappointed this time. We had made reservations for outside and when we got there, we were told that our table had been given away. We were early for our reservation too. The host didn't seem to care sadly. And we were seated upstairs by an open door and the bathrooms. We will be back, but hopefully next time the staff is a bit more accommodating. Our waiter was amazing and so was the food.
We had six people in our party, sitting on the back outside patio. All the food was great EXCEPT for overdone chicken in the chicken and waffles plate; the chicken was dry, hard to cut and disappointing. Service was very good. This is our go-to restaurant when we go to a show at the Pantages.
This was an excellent meal and warm, inviting environment before taking in a play at Pantages! Thank you for a beautiful evening and excellent meal!
Wow! We were blown away by the food and the stellar service! I will fantasize about eating here again. I hope I get the chance to come back!
I loved the staff, the ambiance and the food. It's a great place!
Max was awesome!!
Seated right away. Food was good, came in batches. Service was EXCELLENT!
Patio seating was wonderful. Loved the ambience! Servers were very friendly and attentive.
Love that I was able to eat here prior to the theater, as well as park at the W valet. Perfect and convenient. Patio dining was great. Chilean sea bass was amazing, though definitely not a "shared" portion. Will know for next time! :)
Great spot especially after a show at the Pantages. Our waiter, Zander, was outstanding!
We had dinner there after watching the Hamilton matinee show on Saturday. The service was impeccable. Our server helped us decide which items to order. The food came quickly and all of it was top notch! The donut holes at the end of everything were the best! We were close to the front desk and there were many people coming in who did not have reservations. We were impressed that the host was giving them other options rather than just randomly turning them away. I will definitely go back again!
If you want something close to the Pantages, it’s great. But the food was meh, and we had a hard time getting our waiter’s attention. I won’t go back.
We enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant. The 2 burger plate is a tasty value (although the burgers were overcooked & there was not enough french fries). The patio would be a nice place to linger before/after a local area show (Pantages, Chinese Theater, etc.).
Amazing food! Great atmosphere!! Great service! Highly recommend! Made a reservation for 5:00 pm, best choice because it did seem to get a little busy after that.
Based on one employee, very hard to give a strong rating. Food and environment were great - highly recommend. Service was great except for our server who personally ruined the entire experience. The table next to us were clearly people she knew - she would spent 15-20 minutes at a time hanging out with them, catching up, looking at photos on their phones - she should have just sat down with them. She left us and other tables just hanging - sitting there staring off and waiting. One example: she came by, wanted to know if we wanted desert, left menus and went over to the table of friends for 20 minutes. When finally came back, asked how everything was. At that point, we just asked for the check, paid and left. This is the one dining experience where I should have gone to the manager but we just wanted to get out. I absolutely support automatically including the tip in the check and spreading out the money among the staff, though some people clearly take advantage of it and don't care.
food was amazing
This little restaurant was a find, we came up from Orange County to eat dinner, the servers, Max this visit & Rachel last visit are outstanding. The manager Wally is awesome and the entire vibe there is good, food is excellent, highly recommend this place especially if doing a show nearby.
