We went to see Hamilton and the best place for food/drinks before the show. It is across the street and they also have fast service. Drinks were worth the price and food was good too. Little pricey but that's what you get in Hollywood. I would recommend.
Kitchen got backed up. One entre came out and second was 10 minutes later. 20% tip included on bill (which was okay by me). Not a place I will return.
Little hideaway in the heart of Hollywood. Great outdoor seating and good service. Full bar. The Chilean sea bass exceeded expectations. The caesar salad did not meet expectations. The donut holes were very good. The restaurant adds a 20% service charge to the bill.
the food was incredible and the service was top notch. A great little spot.
Perfect spot ahead of a show at the Pantages. Great food and drink in a lovely atmosphere, right across the street from the theatre.
Chicken & waffles was just OK. I’d order waffles well done next time. Tequila Mockingbird is a very good cocktail. The Chilean sea bass was ok. The Brussel sprouts were terrific! Rachel was the best server ever! Service & ambiance was better than the food.
Our time at Wood and Vine was fabulous! The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Our server David was quite possibly the best server we have ever had. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant! Our experience was a 10/10 from. Start to finish!
Restaurant was wonderful!
I was worried we were going to miss our reservation, so I called and left a message letting them know that we would be running late.
When we showed up, I was more than willing to wait for the next available table, but Wally told me that they had our table ready and waiting.
Food and drinks were also delicious, highly highly recommend
Tuna tartar fresh, different, and delicious. The two-burger plate was perfect for sharing and the burgers were deeeelicious (short rib and brisket in the mix). Black Manhattan was superb! All done in an hour and headed to Pantages on time!
Food- awesome. Location to theatre- awesome. Helpfulness of staff with info for theater- awesome. Time to get drinks- a little slow but we understand staffing issues right now make it hard. Expensive evening out but worth it if you aren't in a rush!
The overall experience was quite good. The ambiance and wait staff was wonderful. The only thing that held the experience back was that our main course was not prepared to order. We ordered the steak dinner for two and asked for it to be prepared well done. We were informed that it would take some time which was not a surprise as this is typical for well done. We ordered at 5:30 and our meal was brought out at 6:30 which in itself was not a problem because I assumed it took the hour to cook it well done. The steak came out with still a good amount of pink and the temperature was luke warm. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem because I would ask the restaurant to continue cooking it to get it well done. The problem was we had tickets to the Pantages and we could not afford to be waiting any longer without having to rush to eat our food. So unfortunately we had to settle for the $170 steak that was not cooked to ordered so that we were not rushing to get to our show.
Very fun and stylish place! Manager Wally was very friendly and our server, Nick was so professional, fun and accommodating. The host was very friendly and accommodating as well!
Can't wait to go back!
Great food and atmosphere. The food is not sharable.
The Maitre 'D, Ollie, is fantastic! I highly recommend taking the Metro to get here. It arrives just steps from the restaurant.
Food and drinks were amazing!! A little pricey, but the ambiance was so enjoyable!
The food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. Loved it, coming back for my birthday.
Food was yummy, a little loud but could each other, nice setting, needed more servers as our waiter had too many tables probably due to the play next door. Overall very good experience
Very nice ambience and food.
Would go there again. Great place for before a show.
This is our go-to restaurant for dinner before a play in Hollywood. There are no bad items on the menu and the Pantages is directly across the street. The Kodak is a few blocks west. The food and service cannot be beat.
Great food and great service! Once they discovered it was my mother's birthday, they went above and beyond to make sure she enjoyed her evening. We found out at the end of the evening all of her drinks were being covered, as well as, the donut holes we ordered for dessert. They also covered the first round of drinks of myself and our other guest. I would absolutely recommend coming here!
The spinach dip and sea bass. Outstanding.
And in plenty of time for Hamilton, even though we were 20 min late for dinner.
Attentive wait staff. Lovely ambiance, and delicious cocktails. Server recommended the sea bass- it was out of this world delish! The Brussels sprouts were super tasty, and all the food came out really hot and fast. Presentation was pretty. We enjoyed! Get the bourbon strawberry cocktail! So good!
If you're seeing a show at Pantages, this location is perfect. Food was great, smaller portions than expected for share plates, but quality and delicious. The vibe was cool and trendy but not flashy. And the staff was our favorite part...so friendly and attentive! Perfect place for a light bite before our 6:30 show.
Dinner prior to 630 show at Pantages. Great location and service. Only concern is limited selection of non-seafood items. Would recommend for those attending a show before or after performance.
It was great learning about the mural on the wall in the front of the restaurant. We loved the atmosphere and the evening experience. It was very chill, and comforting. The food was amazing. Well seasoned.
Servers were very friendly and positive. Food was extremely tasty especially the donut holes. Overall experience was pleasant and lovely
Pros: Very nice ambience, super convenient to the Pantages theater before the show, delicious food and creative cocktails
Cons: Chef sends out plates as they come which I felt was odd - I was almost done before my friend’s main entree finally arrived, food runner had no personality and just put the plates down anywhere on the table before walking away, and pretty small portions for the price
Service was great. Food came out quick. Food & drinks were so good! Definitely recommend.
Service, drinks and dinner were great. Dessert was horrible. I had the choc pound cake, really disappointing after the amazing dinner we just had.
Max, our server, was wonderful, and service was quick even during a pre-theater rush. He made us feel welcome and special, which was especially nice as we were there for a birthday dinner. Everyone from the first person who greeted us at the door to the last to wish us a good evening was friendly and focused on giving guests a good experience.
The food is just ok, the final bill is way too high for the experience. I would not return or recommend it to a friend.
Our services was simply excellent...highly recommended
Delicious small, sharable plates and yummy main courses! Welcoming owner, terrific wait-staff and oh, so convenient to the Pantages Theatre! Love Wood & Vine!!
Fun place! We went before a show at the Pantages and had a great experience.
SO, even though it says shared meals... the entrees are really single servings, and the shared part is that food comes out as it is ready, so you may eat you food while someone else is waiting for theirs... this is fine if you understand that each person really should order on entree as sharing one is not a lot of food (3 of us split 2 entrees and an appetizer, and it was not a lot of food)... Food is great, service is wonderful, prices are OK, but on the high side for serving size... desserts are to die for!!!
We’ve been coming to Wood & Vine for years and it never disappoints. We started with the ahi tartar and shared the seared scallops, roasted Brussel sprouts, vegetable risotto and chocolate mousse coupe. All were perfectly prepared and presented beautifully. Our server Max was attentive and Oscar made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect location for a pre-performance meal because of its proximity to the Pantages Theater.
Good food and nice atmosphere… perfect before the Pantages!
Everything was delicious! The service was great and music was on point. My only issue was that the “shares” section was a joke! Four scallops or one waffle and one chicken tender was barely enough food for one hungry person! Definitely not shareable. Other than the portion sizes, everything was awesome!
Great job getting us in and out before Hamilton! We ordered 8-10 items , were a party of 5 and our server remembered I had mentioned we were celebrating my daughters 15th bday. Highly recommend grabbing a bite here.
Food and drinks were excellent and the service was great. Ate here before heading to the Pantages theater. Our orders were severed in a timely manner and had plenty on time to enjoy our meal and make it to the show on time.
