Wine Experience Cafe and World Cellar
wild boar and green chili wontons, watermelon radish and goat cheese salad, beef fillet au poivre, grilled molasses pork chop, pan-seared sea scallops, fresh market fish, cured meats and artisan cheese. Full Bar, 35 wines by the glass, wine flights, amazing wine list
Second time here after moving to the area. Great night out. Great wine options, good food and the service is solid. One of our top choices in the area
Wonderful service and food. It was our first visit but it won’t be our last
Such good food and very friendly staff. It has a great vibe. Good place to become a regular.
What a pleasant dinner! We bought a wine tasting and cheese pairing Groupon and took my parents there. The service was amazing—we really wanted just a simple buttered pasta and they happily accommodated. The sea scallops were delicious, with a mango sauce and Parmesan risotto that perfectly complimented the sweetness. We also ordered the osso bucco ravioli. Wow! Incredibly tasty, well cooked, flavorful. The wine list was of course top notch. And just a lovely experience. We will for sure be back!
The food and atmosphere were awesome! Unfortunately the service was lacking, not sure if they were short staffed. We had to repeat requests for butter, salt, etc.
Also, why do restaurants seat everyone in a clump instead of spreading customers out for privacy.
Was a nice evening but wasn't what we expected after doing other wine tastings...
Great wine selection and cocktails too.
Food was amazing! Wine list extensive and a real value. This place is a hidden gem.
My husband and I had a great experience at this restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made our experience wonderful and romantic. The food and wine options were great and we will be coming back again. Thank you for making us special.
great service, great place to get great knowledge on wines
Can't wait to for our next visit to enjoy another special meal.
This is our favorite place to go whether just my hubby and I or if we have friends in town. They turned their menu recently and our dinner was delicious! Loving the new items.
a great restaurant with lots of care in preparing excellent food, paired with good wines!
The menu has changed to much not enough vegan/vegetarian options. This use to be a great spot. Not so much anymore.
My wife and I love this place. “I highly recommend for a date night, birthday, or just because you want to treat yourself!
Prime rib roast beef Tuesday special was tender and cooked to perfection.
We all loved it.
We arrived at 5:45 and the restaurant was almost empty. We thought it would get busy as we ate but it never did. I ordered the Steak Frites and my wife got the Ravioli. My steak was under cooked and had very little flavor. My wife indicated her pasta was too thick. The wine experience salad was good. The wait for food was much longer than I would have expected given that most tables were empty. The server kept mixing up the order between me and my wife. Also, the server should address her personal hygiene (body odor).
We went on Sunday , so the restaurant was not busy. The bartender was our server, knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Charcuterie was very good, tasty, sliced thin and perfect appetizer with cheese and sparkling rose. Green lip mussels were flavorful and the broth worthy of mopping up with crust Italian bread. Ravioli with beef burgonne topped it off with just enough. Flourless chocolate cake went very well with our remaining red wine and fresh press coffee or loose-leaf tea.
Food was delicious; service was prompt! Great selection of wines and cheeses.
We had a wonderful time! The service was excellent as was the food!
Ordered a $25 glass of Serene Pinot Noir from their reserve Coravin list by the glass. Watched at the waiter going behind the bar and having difficulty finding the right bottle, then came back at the table with a red wine in a small carafe. I expressed my surprise as I was expecting the wine be served via the Coravin. I even pointed it out on the table card on each table. He assured me it was the wine I ordered.
After a few underwhelming sips, I decided to call his bluff and asked to see the bottle... he came back and said that he “couldn’t find the bottle” and he admitted that he did serve me a different wine... He offered take the incorrect glass of wine off our bill but nothing more. Given he flat out lied to us, doubled down on the lie and tried to pass a cheap glass of wine off as a $25/glass exclusive wine, you would expect a bit more than that!
I’m really baffled by this unacceptable behavior, too bad that there wasn’t someone from the management team on the floor to complain to. You can put white table clothes in your restaurant and buy fancy glasses, but it won’t matter if you treat your customers like they don’t matter.
The prime rib was lack luster. Not very flavorful. For a night devoted to prime rib it was disappointing. The service was slow as well especially since there were only about 5 tables to serve.
As always we had a great evening. This was a wine dinner and the food that went with each wine paired perfectly. Thank you!
Great dinner, and we loved the fact that the chef comes out and interacts with the guests. I have a lot of food allergies and they went out of their way and took great care of me. My food was amazing and I had no problems with it.
Somewhat disappointing dinner. Was really excited to try this place after seeing some great reviews (alongside some pretty bad reviews) because we need a great, non-chain, unique dining option in the Southlands area! The bread was good, the 2 appetizers we ordered (brie with fig and the calamari) were delicious and the chicken cordon bleu was great! But the other entrees ordered, specifically the vegetable lasagna with grilled shrimp and the duck, were very disappointing. The duck entrée did not look appealing and did not have the flavor promised in the menu. The lasagna was average, but the "grilled" shrimp looked like it was boiled rather than grilled with NO flavor. It was really nice to have the chef come out and ask how our dinner was and thank us for being there, and I wish my guests would have let him know about their entrees because I thought everything was to everyone's satisfaction.
If you have a chance to join the wine experience team for a wine dinner. Please do so… What an intimate wonderfully catered event… we had individual time with the wineries owners, we got to try some wonderful wine, so I’ve never even heard of… All paired with an excellent four course meal… What a great value! Cheers!!
The food was great and service was excellent! The place has the thickest cut bacon I have ever seen! The owner was great and friendly!
Amazing wine list And the cheese flights are perfect to pair with!
I loved the Wine Experience. We went with friends..and had a great time. The wine and cheese platter were excellent! While the waitress was very nice and accommodating, she was not very attentive. Considering it was not very busy while we were there, I felt like she could have presented the tasting with more information.
Nice place but a little pricey
Excellent food & service! Thanks for being in the neighborhood!!
As always the meal was perfect. The staff is great and work super hard to make the evening a great one.
This was my second time at the restaurant but first time for dinner. My husband and I had reservations for a date night. Our waitress was wonderful, service was outstanding. The food was just okay and definitely not worth the price. I ordered calamari which was pretty good. My entree was just the wine experience burger. It didn’t seem to be seasoned at all and the bacon that came so highly recommended was fatty. My husband ordered a salad with steak. The vinaigrette dressing had too much balsamic and therefore was highly acidic. The best part was dessert. The creme brûlée was very good. The menu is limited and it just isn’t worth its value.
We enjoyed a very attentive and professional staff. Friendly and eager to help. Food was delicious and enjoyed a nice glass of wine with the meal. We recommend!
We had a wonderful experience overall. Our waiter was incredible. When we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes before we were greeted. When we said we had a reservation, we were told we would have to wait until some tables opened up. While we were waiting, the couple that had come in after us, were seated before us. Our initial impression was not good. But the food, wine, and young waiter from Ireland, turn our frown upside down!
It was a wonderful evening. The chicken cordon-blu was very good, as was the duck breast. Great wine selection as well. The restaurant was extremely busy, but that did not impact the service. Definitely will return again.
Food is definitely improving over the years - we both had different versions of fish that were good. Dessert (torte) was excellent.
Our first courses were delicious and creative, but our main courses were extremely disappointing. My husband's "ribeye" was a very thin slab of tough, gristly beef and not at all a ribeye. My osso buco was bland and the carrots served with it were awful. This meal was nowhere close to worth the money.
Wonderful as always. The food and wine are superb. It's an intimate restaurant where we always feel welcome.
