Wine Experience Cafe and World Cellar
wild boar and green chili wontons, watermelon radish and goat cheese salad, beef fillet au poivre, grilled molasses pork chop, pan-seared sea scallops, fresh market fish, cured meats and artisan cheese. Full Bar, 35 wines by the glass, wine flights, amazing wine list
Great food. Service could have been a little better with as slow as the place was. Will be back again.
I had heard great things about Wine Experience however I was pretty disappointed. Although our waitress was lovely, the overall service/timing of food was very slow (not due to the server). Also, for the price $$$ of the food, the quality was not good.
The steaks looked closer to Salisbury steak than a fine dining steak, and the scallops over risotto were awful. The bread basket was stale, and the calamari tasted like a dive bar special.
We were out of town guests treating our customers to dinner, and I wish we would have a had a better food experience. We still had a great time - and maybe we were there on an off night! I'd still give it a shot, see what you think :)
Great Food, Excellent Wine Selection and our server “Benny” was the best.
Wonderful place to take our family from out of town. They lived the wine and the food!!
Excellent in all aspects. Appetizers, food and wine selections were all outstanding.
I have eaten at Wine Experience many times and have never really had a problem. This time the service was a little slow, forgotten bread, and asked 2 times, food took exceptionally long to arrive. It wasn't overly full, so was a little unsure why. Still enjoy going and will continue to do so
New spot for us. Perry was fantastic and helped us with our drinks and journey through the menu! Fantastic hideaway in the Southlands!
We love this restaurant as a special date night destination! Their winemaker dinners are fun, and the special tasting events are always informative!
Excellent cafe. Eldon, the owner, personally made sure our experience was 5 star! Highly recommend. I had the Australia lamb chops, melted in my mouth.
Great staff and a fantastic selection of wine. To their credit, I actually made an OpenTable reservation then they had someone come buyout the place that night. Instead of cancelling, they worked to accommodate me and my guests and we ended up having a fantastic meal (with great wine). Can't say enough positive things about this place.
Fabulous! Great dinner. We are definitely coming back.
First, I will still go here for dinner or lunch (dinner is my fav). Never again for brunch. It was expensive. That was fine, it was mother's day. I get it. But the food was mediocre. Quiche overcooked and a tad dry. Crepe combo was not good. Eggs benedict, hollandaise was breaking. My daughter's creme brulee was grainy/chunky (didn't temper egg correctly) should be smoooth and creamy. The cheesecake was a tiny tartlet size. I was planning on taking cake home, but my tiny daughter gobbled it up. True it was 4 course, but for $59 i thought there would be cheescake to take home. This did not include any beverage, not even coffee. The restaurant was 1/2 empty, now I know why. Dinner yes. Brunch NEVER.
So very accommodating a staff. My guest requested a non listed Australian white they had it. Our fantastic dinner was prepared super quick and done to perfection. My guest was accustomed to Having a little chocolate w/ their coffee. They found a very nice solution.
We stayed until closing and the staff including the chef & the owner were so pleasant conversing with us and looking forward to our next visit.
A very nice menu with something to pare in any day part and the wine selections are excelente’
Always great service and good comfort food.
My wife and I continue to come back here as one of our favorite date night options
Great selection of wine, nice surroundings, good service. Only had appetizers but they were good. We will go back for lunch or dinner in the future.
We had a fun night with friends. Thought the cheese platter for 4 people was very small. Wine is excellent. Had a problem with our entrees, but the Manager quickly rectified it all and compensated us with a free bottle of wine and comped the meal that was cold. Great service. Will go back again.
Exceptional service and food. The owner gave us an excellent wine recommendation, he is very knowledgeable.
We will certainly be returning.
Eldon and his staff are knowledgeable and gracious hosts. This wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last.
The food was not good. Chicken was over cooked. Steak was cold and pizza was cold. Plates that the food was served on were cold.
Soup was excellent. Wine was good.
I like to go here but the food quality is so inconsistent.
My husband and I had a lovely date at Wine Experience Cafe. Our server was great, and the place had a nice vibe.
Great wine selections to go with some great food. Soup, salad, entre all were well prepared.
Apps were great. Food was not as good, mostly overcooked.
Very delicious food and attentive service
Excellent food. We had the prefix for restaurant week.
Server was extremely friendly. Of course, wine was exceptional. We had a great time.
The food was absolutely amazing. The risotto that came with the chicken cordon blue is some of the best we have ever had.
First time! Loved the atmosphere, will be back!
The appetizers of lobster and carpaccio were excellent. The main course of steak and lamb were also excellent, though the gravy was heavy and a bit overpowering. The desserts were a great disappointment. The cheesecake was made with ricotta instead of cream cheese and the bread pudding was just okay at best. The service was great and our seats by the fire were also great.
Absolutely amazing food...very impressed. Servers were very nice and professional, however it took WAY too long to get our meal with no apology. An appetizer we ordered never arrived. Be prepared for a VERY expensive experience, but the food quality is worth it. Probably won’t visit again because of the slow service, though.
Great food, great service, great time! Will definitely be going again.
We went for restaurant week to try the menu. The food was tremendously over priced. Our courses were not timed properly. Our cheese and appetizer’s were brought to the table on top of each other. The lobster wontons were burnt and cold. We had to send them back for hot ones. Then we waited a very long time between for our dinner. The main dishes were pretty good. I had the halibut and my husband had the ribeye. The desserts were both very good. Chocolate cake and bread pudding. Throughout the 2 hours we dined we rarely saw our waitress. The service was okay. Overall, this restaurant was not worth 110 dollars for 2 people. We only drank water. I would not go back.
Tried it for our first time during Denver Restaurant Week and really enjoyed it. Took a little too long to get our first glass of wine, but not too bad. Most of the food was excellent, in fact the steak was 100% better than Shanahan’s in DTC. The pork belly was to die for. All in all we will go back for sure.
Service was slow. They were understaffed. Food was cold and nothing special. They took it back to reheat but still came back cold. Was expensive for what it was:
2 wine flights
Total was $150 not including tip.
Fantastic food, service, location. The wine flights and cheese flights choices were amazing and Emily, our server, was so knowledgeable and pleasant. Can't wait to return with friends and family.
Food, wine, and service great though kitchen was very slow. Car lights from outside parking really bright, maybe consider a window darkening treatment.
When we finally got our food it was disappointing. I had veal osso bucco and was cold and the vegetable was too salty to eat. My husband ordered a steak medium plus and it came out medium rare. Our other dining partners ate around their issues. Getting the food from the kitchen was so slow, our poor waiter was constantly apologizing. Our two meals were comped but not sure if we will return to eat
While a little more packed then we were used to, we were undeterred from having a great time. The menu was absolutely amazing and I commented to the owner that on top of the fantastic food and drinks, it was amazing watching the staff work on such a professional and cohesive level. Perfect selection for our date night.
For my first time here, excellent food, service, wine and experience!
We have had multiple dinners at the Wine Experience and in the past we have always been pleased. However, Tuesday we had the Prime Rib and it was terribly disappointing. It was tough, hard to chew and certainly not worth the money. The asparagus and the potato was good, but not good enough to make up for the Prime Rib being such poor quality. We brought home left overs and the next day put it in the Sous Vide. That made all the difference.
As always, we had a fantastic night! The food is fabulous, the cocktails are SO good, and the staff is wonderful! Aurora needs more restaurants like The Wine Experience!
