   We went there on a Tuesday last week. We thought it was a mild evening to go out in Downtown Lawrence and the service and crowd would be not too much for a quick dinner. We had never been before and was very excited to try it out. We were not pleased at all with the slow service and confusion on when to come take our order. Our waiter was frazzled and the time it took for us to just get a drink and put our appetizer order in was unacceptable. Then once we finally got our drinks(20 minutes later) my husband was brought the wrong one and the waiter failed to come back to let us know anything was wrong. It took us waving down another waiter to come back to our table and assist us. He then told us our appetizer order was never put in! This is now 40 minutes into our 'meal' and still no food. Out waiter then came back to get our entree order, which we found out was not the GF like he said it was supposed to be. So we re ordered and still no appetizers! We finally got another 'waiter' to come by and he stated he was the Manager...Well we left without eating a thing and he gave us a Gift Card with NO EXPLANATION OR AMOUNT ON CARD! After sitting there for an hour starving! So we went to the Lawrence Kansas mainstay 'Free State Brewery' where we should have went in the 1st place....BEST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER!

   We had a wonderful family gathering. Everything was delicious and our server Abby, was charming. We will definitely be back! So happy to have a new restaurant of this caliber in Lawrence.

   The food was very good, but the service was definitely the highlight! The only complaint was the ventilation. The smoke from the kitchen was so bad that my eyes hurt by the end of our meal and my hair and clothes smelled so smokey I could not wait to get home to shower and change. Hoped they get that fixed soon!!

   Food was phenomenal. We had both the calamari and the bacon appetizers. Calamari was best I've ever tasted and the bacon's flavor was through the roof. I had the lamb shank for my entree. Incredible flavor. Tried two different red wines - both fantastic. Server was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. He was a delight! Great evening out.

   Service and server were great. Cod dish my husband had was AMAZING! My duck not so much. Skin was not cooked down enough so it was chewy. Appetizers were great too. Hope it was just an off night

    My daughter and I headed to Lawrence last night for the wonderful Moth MainStage storytelling performance (first time in the State of Kansas!) and my job was to find the best place possible for dinner… I opened the Open Table app and at the top of the list was Wine Dive + Kitchen… the google star reviews were only 4.3 but when I looked at the photos and the menu, I promptly made a reservation…..and we were thrilled that we did! From the friendly greeting of the two hostesses, to our perfect seating in a booth within view of the striking bar, to our hardworking-to-please waiter, Tyler, we could not have asked for a better meal! We started off with cocktails and the bacon appetizer. It literally melted in our mouths. What was great about it was the salt, fat, acid from pickled veggies and a little sweet from the maple BBQ sauce… a fantastic start! The service literally took our used dishes to immediately deliver the next course, salads - the Harvest Apple Salad with poppy seed dressing and the Beet Salad with greens…light, fresh, well balanced… onto a shared entree of Coq au Vin, fall off the bone tender chicken braised in red wine with diced fall vegetables… with one of our favorite dishes of the night, mashed potatoes with Gruyère…heavenly, perfect consistency. We finished this feast by sharing a piece of Pumpkin Cheesecake… we could not have asked for a better meal!! Thanks, WD+K!!❤️ we’ll be back!!

    This restaurant is a great addition to Lawrence. The food was amazing. We had the bacon, fried deviled eggs, and eggplant caprese salad. Instead of getting a bottle of wine, we each did four wine tastings. Lots of GF options. I can’t wait to go back!

    Sat outside and it was great! The Burrata was amazing! The dive burger was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients which is a huge plus. We will be back!

    Second week open and our experience was great! Abigail was awesome. The calamari was off the charts (best I've ever had). The macaroni and cheese was amazing as well. Very impressed considering they just opened!

    Perfect evening for family weekend. Fun vibe, the food was amazing!!! Had the calamari and the Buratta cheese appetizer. Salmon was our favorite entree. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Our new favorite Lawrence restaurant!!

    Loved this new place right on Mass street. Beautiful ambiance. The selection of wines was very nice and the wine we selected is our new favorite! The food was great from the Edamame to the scallops and also the lobster shrimp and crab mac and cheese. Service was great as well! Will come back!!!!

    Our service started off rocky having to wait for our bottle of wine and having to remind their server, he had the wrong bottle. I had to go get my own plate, requested one when o ordered meal to share, requested when they dropped off food, nothing! I should not have to go to the kitchen to get a plate. My meal was cold by the time I finally got a plate. Ordered dessert, never came. I hope they get things fixed. The managers were just sitting at the bar and should have visited our table to make sure things were going smoothly, which they weren’t.
