   When we first arrived, another group was wandering around trying to find their server so they could pay and leave. After several minutes, someone finally came up to help them and to seat us. The views of the riverwalk was nice and our order was taken quickly. The appetizer of chips and queso was nothing spectacular. Our meals took a long time to come out (cheeseburger and penne pasta). Mind you there were only 4 other tables in the restaurant. The food was good but again, nothing wow. It took a long time to find our server to bring the bill once we were done. When we were leaving, we noticed a group of staff standing in the bar area watching a football game on tv...found em. Overall, it is an average place for average food with a nice view of the riverwalk.

   Windows on the River is a nice restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn Riverwalk. The food is good and our server, Israel, was very good. While this is not fine-dining it is very good place for dinner on the riverwalk without all the hustle and bustle of other places on the riverwalk. We had dinner before attending a theater performance at the Majestic Theater. Very convenient. We will definitely return.

   Great Value! Menu, food, and service are consistently good. Israel, our waiter was very attentive, pleasant but not overbearing! Perfect combination!

   I found this place through OpenTable because the place I normally go to and it’s back up we’re both unavailable due to a Series of events at the same time downtown. The description gave it great promise and beckoned us with an elegant setting above the Riverwalk. Parking is absolutely wonderful for going to dinner followed by a show at the Majestic theater. A small parking garage the Temple open spaces and free validation which meant free parking upon return. You can’t beat that! When is getting inside the lobby of the hotel though, things took a turn for the worse. There were no signs to be seen at all as to where to find the restaurant. Mind you, the hotel is a common hotel that can be seen in any cookie cutter suburb and true to that genre, the lobby looks just like any other hotel in the affordable Business class level. We found the snack bar first then we found one person working the front counter and four people in line in front of us. We couldn’t find the restaurant though. After getting directions and told to go down the hall, up some stairs and around to the left of a noisy open space bar we were greeted by a friendly attendant who welcomed us to the establishment. Walking in to the restaurant area I was disappointed. It also had the same feel and style of a low to mid end hotel’s unbranded restaurant. I felt like canceling then but knowing I couldn’t for lack of better options. When we were let down a short Jonte of steps and to the long open hall like seating area with ceiling to floor

   Israel did a fantastic job. He is a "10". The experience was exceptional and we will return.

   Great location ~ FYI Its inside the Holiday Inn. Food was great, waitstaff excellent and very patient with us. We were a large group, made a lot of requests and were there for a very long time. Often restaraunts will try to rush you out but we never felt rushed, in fact they were very welcoming. Will definately be back on our next trip. Thank you!

    Great view of the River Parade. Comfortable surroundings. Mexican food buffet, from guacamole to flan, was nicely prepared and served.
