   When reservation was made a standard table was requested from the seating options. When we arrived we were seated at a tiny high top table. I said I requested a standard table and was told they were no special notes on my Open Table reservation. They kept blaming OT for locking them out, messing up their reservations and they weren't going to use OT any more. I said it's not my responsibility to know their relationship with OT. There were 5 open standard tables when we arrived and still open when we left. Staff was unhelpful and put the blame on me. We sat at a high top, my short legs fell asleep, my purse had to sit on the floor and this made for an unpleasant experience. Food was fine, not Michelin quality, pricey for the small plates, the entree pasta was very tasty, service fair. We spend our summers in Northern Michigan and this will be on our One and Done list.

   We arrived on time for our 5:00 must have reservation. During our hour and half in Willow, we were the only patrons and, of course, received excellent service from our attentive, friendly server, Chelsey. The house salad from the Small Plates menu was tasty and fresh. We split an order of Colorado Lamb Chops, which were perfectly seasoned and prepared, as requested, at medium-rare. I was annoyed that a bread "basket" [approx. eight slices from a small loaf of bread] we requested to ensure we had something before our wine cost $5.00. I think that's a bit extreme, when our check, including three carafes of an excellent Frank Family Cab, was over $200 with TIP.

   We left because the waitress never came to take our food order. It felt unwelcoming and the food appeared very expensive ($100/person’s meal). It seemed to be filled with rich regulars who seemed to stare at my family (we are locals of N Michigan).

   What a joy to find this Michelin caliber restaurant in tiny Harbor Springs. The menu prices were a bit intimidating, but our group of 7 was fully satisfied with 5 small plates, 3 large plates and 2 sides. Every single dish was spectacular (morel flatbread, creamy burrata, roasted potatoes with lemon aioli, melt-in-your mouth ravioli with corn, walleye with sweet potatoes). When you want a change from the standard Up North planked whitefish in a sophisticated ambience, this is your place.
