Willie Mae's Scotch House was founded in 1957 and has since been featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network along with being awarded the James Beard Award for “America's Classic Restaurant for the Southern Region” in 2005. Stop by the cozy restaurant with friends and family to enjoy the famouse mixed Fried Chicken basket or choose white or dark baked chicken. i had a great experience until i asked for permission to leave our bags waiter said yes we walked down the street and paid for admission to titanic then got a call to come back and get them not a great ending since i have a husband with a walker who cant handle the luggage

I’ve wanted to eat at Willie Mae’s Scotch house for a very long time. Unfortunately someone has attempted to turn Willie Mae’s Scotch House rinto a bougie eatery. When ordering the chicken I asked for a thigh and a breast and was immediately told they couldn’t or wouldn’t do that. My choice was a breast and a wing or a thigh and a drumstick. I was willing to pay more was told no. There was a four piece menu offering but who could eat 4 pieces of fried chicken and I didn’t want to waste the pieces I didn’t want. BTW, the Mac-n-cheese was flat and had no flavor at all.

Absolutely delicious. Our server was everything as well as the manager. Very beautiful atmosphere and amazing food.

The food was fantastic! The band that played (4/25 @ 8pm) was great! Ryan took excellent care of us and really seemed to care that we enjoyed ourselves. Next time we come back, we will definitely be returning.

Sadly, food was bland. Very noisy with band playing in bar. Couldn't hear servers questions up close

The fried chicken was great as advertised! Service was attentive. Dining room is noisy (we were there for lunch) but it’s a lively crowd so good people watching.
