The food was delicious! I had the Peppercorn NY strip and it was the best steak I have eaten in a very long time if not ever! Our waiter was attentive and also gave my husband and I time to enjoy each other's company. The tables set in the street where we were first seated were not swept clean underneath from previous diners and there were leaves there as well. The hostess was very nice and got us a table that was much nicer to dine at. I would definitely go back there again.
Consistently very good. Great huge burger if you are in to that. Craft Cocktails are the real thing and not overpriced. Go-to spot in the area.

As always Willard Hicks was a very good choice for a nice dinner with friends on the weekend! Their staff is always very accommodating and on top of things.
Dinner was delicious. The variety of options on the menu were a plus. My steak was a little overcooked but it was still good. I will definitely go back.
We ordered rare and medium rare steaks. They were both well done. Second time around my husband’s steak was medium rare (perfect) mine was well done when I ordered a rare steak. Very disappointing as we normally dine here for special occasions in the past. We did appreciate the server not charging us for the steak but I went home hungry.
Great overall experience with Willard Hicks. Been going here since they first opened this location. It’s been fun, food is great, service can be hit or miss depending on your server, and I can say the food is a little pricey for what it is. But we’ll wroth eating and enjoying a great time with friends, family, and social gatherings.
Great outdoor set-up, food and service was excellent. Loved my steak and my wife was happy with her salad. The musician busking across the street was a fun bonus.

Good meal and drinks. We would go back again. We particularly liked the street tacos appetizer and their specialty Sidecar cocktail. Overall, we found the food quite flavorful, the portions very generous, and the service good.
There were a few minor drawbacks. The steak burger, although tasty, was almost impossible to eat because it is so large (1 lb), piled high with toppings, and served uncut. It’s hard to see how anyone could bite into it. The sticky chicken entree was also good but the sauce was a bit too tangy for my tastes.
A note about outdoor seating: to respect proper social distancing, some tables are in the street. This isn’t a problem, although some straddle the gutter, so you’re sitting at a slant for the meal. I was OK with it, but if you think that would be a problem for you, you might want to note that when making your reservations.
For the price the steak was basic. We spent over 400 and it wasn't that great. Also the tables are wobbly. If you are going to serve outside fix your tables.
So nice to be able to dine out again. The spacing of tables was great and our server was really helpful. The drinks were great but food unfortunately was just good/ok.
We love our server Jesus. We go to Willard every couple of months but always order the same thing. Jesus remembered our drink order as soon as we sat down and remembered to bring extra sauces for our burgers. Great great service!

OK, I know this Covid thing is hard but the hostess at Willard Hicks definitely needs to lighten up. She was definitely a downer start to the evening.
The crab cakes were excellent.
The Basil Hayden was not Basil Hayden
The filet mignon was prepared perfectly as ordered with excellent mac and cheese side
The baby back ribs were also excellent falling off the bone tender
The swordfish was also superb.
The carrot cake dessert was HUGE and excellent.
Having to sit in the middle of the street without a heater definitely took away from the experience.
It was great. Felt very safe and great to be outdoors.
I really like this place and our waiters were great but the host/manager was so unpleasant it took a while to enjoy the food and experience.
Since she is the first one people see, my thought is she should be most welcoming.

Great experience each time I've dined at Willard Hicks. Great service, food (the porkchop with apricot chutney is my favorite, but can't go wrong on most items on the menu) , and refreshing cocktails. During COVID-19 time, seating is outdoor (heated lamps in the evening) and WH does a good job with social distancing (all servers had masks and gloves on), putting their menu online that you can access on your mobile devices by scanning a QR code when you check-in (clever way of not distributing physical copies of menues which helps reduce the spread of virus). Will be back for the dozenth time to try some of their other entrees and will be bringing more friends or date for lunch/dinner!
The host, Susie, was absolutely rude to us and was clearly frazzled as she couldn’t handle the stress of dealing with multiple customers over different modes of communication all at the same time. Unbelievable that she’s the Asisstant Manager. At this rate, she’ll likely run the restaurant to the ground.
On the other hand, our wait staff was incredible. This review is only specific to the poor service offered by Susie.
The pork chop was excellent. The Mambo salad was good, but somewhat bland. Our drinks came just as we ordered them and the service was quite good considering the servers had to run in and out constantly. Didn’t really enjoy sitting in the street, but the restaurants don’t have other options.
More shade needed for outside, but food and service was great...as always. I’ll be back soon.
One of my favorite dining spots is the outdoor area at Willard Hicks - Campbell. Amazing food! The Baked Brie is just perfect. Innovative themed beverages from their bar and great steaks. How can you not love this place. They don't just try hard, they serve up great food consistently. It is always a great experience. I cook at home and I am always looking for a restaurant that can prepare and serve a meal that exceeds what I can do at home. Not many restaurants can deliver. But one that has delivered absolutely enjoyable meals more than three times this summer is Willard Hicks. I highly recommend the Filet, the Bone in Rib-Eye, the Green Beans, and the Intruder adult beverage. However be aware that literally everything on the menu is worth trying, and you should! The Sword Fish is great! The Butter Cake A-La-Mode and the Crème Brûlée is perfect as well. Seriously the consistency in execution is impressive, they are deserving of your business.
We had a 4pm reservation and arrived 5 minutes early. The maitre d very rudely advised that they did not open until 4 and then shushed us. We left!
Their porkchops are one of my favorites on the menu, also had the mac and cheese and tried the cornbread for the first time--was sooo yummy! Great way to end a bike ride evening 👍

We love this restaurant and have been coming for years. However, we had a terrible experience earlier today because the host, Susie, was terribly rude and doesn’t know how to communicate with her customers.
While I understand that during a pandemic, it’s difficult to pay for a good staff, this host is absolutely terrible and should not be in the restaurant business as she lacks customer service and communication skills. Worst of all, she is rude and doesn’t have cleanliness in mind as she sat us at a table that was not yet cleaned and sanitized, after making us wait for 20 minutes at 9:30 pm.
She’s chasing customers away and this is not a good time to compromise on service given how vulnerable restaurants are during a global pandemic.
TERRIBLE SERViCE by HOST! That said, the wait staff was amazing as before. Something needs to change now or the restaurant will be driven out of business over time by Susie!!!
Great atmosphere. Great service staff. Our table was right next to the sidewalk and there were plenty of people walking within 2 ft of us not wearing face masks. Everyone needs to do our part so restaurants can stay open.

Willard Hicks is always a good spot for a nice dinner on a weekend night. Their staff is very friendly and attentive and makes looking after customers look easy even in these challenging times where only outdoor dining is allowed and they have to walk a lot further.
