Love Willa Jean. It’s a go to. The Cookies and milk are an experience in itself and the cornbread I could honestly eat with every meal in life.
The service was great and the food was wonderful. We would highly recommend for brunch.
Food was bland and overpriced for portions of meat.
Wonderful atmosphere and top notch food and baked goods.
Everything was delicious!!!!
Great menu , lots of options, well located , clean
too much cheese. Not enough variety. More wine choices.
I enjoyed the brunch food, it was all very tasty, but particularly happy with the ambience and noise level. The hangover bowl was particularly good.
The food here is so good it’s off the charts. I had no idea when I ordered a BLT that it would be plate licking good. Words can’t adequately describe it. And the banana pudding - insanely delicious!
Thee service was outstanding- friendly, caring and charming.
Since I don’t live in NOLA I only hope that they pot out a cookbook so I can try to recreate the amazingness myself.
Perfect, also bumped into an old friend. Our waiter was also very nice and friendly.
Avocado Toast, BBQ Shrimp Toast and coffees were excellent!!
The pimento cheese was delicious for a starter! I had the avocado toast which was also great and had a little spicy kick to it. My husband and I both got cookies and milk for dessert. The milk is vanilla flavored and the cookies have some salt on top to cut the sweetness, but it’s the beater with batter on it that was the best!!
Very accommodating and great service! Will definitely return in the future...
I was surprised the restaurant was not busier when we arrived at 9 pm.
Best Avocado Toast I have ever had! The service was phenomenal and super fast!
Everyone was super friendly. My server was awesome & made my dining experience perfect!
The food was excellent & well worth it’s value.
Extremely slow service. Ordered a cheese plate and BLT which took over an hour.
We had brunch here today and was happy I made a 9:30 a.m. reservation. The place was already busy at that time. Our server was Amy and she was great! I ordered the BBQ Shrimp on sourdough bread and loved it. The flavors and textures kept my palate engaged without overwhelming. The top was soft from the melted cheese and sauce-soaked bread, but the bottom crust was still crispy. It was just so unique and satisfying. My hubby had biscuits and gravy and my son had the banana bread, also divine. We were really full but had to try their Cookies and Milk, one thing they're know for. We only managed to finish one cookie and the cookie dough but made sure to have leftovers to go! Overall, it was a great experience and would love to go back if only to try more of their pastries.
Second time here, and pleasantly surprised!
The smoked salmon was a refreshing small meal.
This time every one looked happy and singing along!! Will try it again!! 😊
Overall it was great food and service. We even made it for happy hour which was a nice surprise. Don’t skip the cookies and milk, they are to die for.
Came here for brunch on a trip to NOLA. Such a gem. This restaurant should come to Dallas!
Very nice restaurant. Food and atmosphere was great. Good service. Reasonably priced. I ate here for breakfast and lunch. You must try the chicken biscuit with honey!
Food was Okay. I thought drinks were overpriced and weak.
Nice people wait on you there but expect one, the rest were looking so sad that night! (A bad staff meeting- IDK?!)
I saw huge flies sitting on pastries!
Went back a second time later an the experience was better; hence editing this review to be fair.
Our second visit in two days. Wonderful biscuits - I can't say that enough.
Great atmosphere! The decor immediately catches your eye as you enter. The food was delicious and well thought based on seasonal items. Cocktails- yeah baby!! Original and delicious. A must when in NOLA!!!
One of my favorite places! Cookies are awesome. Solid cocktails. Poutine is perfection. Pimento grilled cheese and spicy tomato soup was a new one for me and really hit the spot. Husband got fried chicken sandwich and loved it but was jealous of my meal. We were here for our honeymoon on this visit and they gave us complimentary champagne, which was really sweet.
Good service, good atmosphere. I will always come here when visiting New Orleans.
My wife and I ate here twice in a three day trip. Fabulous breakfast plates, morning cocktails, coffee, and quite simply the best biscuits I have ever had. Ever. I look forward to another visit some day.
Wonderful Service and great food! Definitely will be heading there again.
Very good! Great time and will be returning
We got there just a few minutes before Happy Hour was over. The hostess had a bad attitude and didn't seat us right away and also marked my OpenTable reservation as having been missed. The waitress didn't seem to have such a great attitude either. It seems like you have to have a chip on your shoulder to work here? Anyway, the food delivered better than the staff. The mason jar desserts came out quickly (we ordered dessert first) and the appetizer we shared was quick to come to the table. Half off snacks, frozen drinks, wine and beer was a winner. We will be back, but I hope the wait staff turns over quickly because they needed an attitude adjustment.
Came highly recommended. Great cocktsil, great server
Lunch meh!! Chicken sandwich tough as nails.. chips not too exciting.
Maybe an off day!
We really had high expectations. The cornbread lived up! Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. At 5pm, they were "out" of my first two dinner preferences from the menu. I settled on the burger, which unfortunately was not seasoned (however, the bun was delicious). The descriptions of the meals on the menu were not helpful. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, but I would recommend many other places to eat at in New Orleans before this one.
Noise level was very loud. We were seated right next to other full tables vs. in an area where there were fewer people. Not the relaxing dining experience we were looking for.
More of a brunch spot then a breakfast spot. You will not find eggs and bacon on the menu but you will not be disappointed none the less. Everything was excellent, and make sure to try the corn bread very good!
Wonderful suggestions. Been several times for brunch but y first time for dinner. We ordered everything our waiter suggested and it was fabulous. The blueberry cobbler was amazing!!! Since they also have baked goods, we bought a loaf of sour dough bread which we have been enjoying all weekend. A major bonus!
Delicious food. Great time.
Excellent service and food. Enjoyed a nice bottle of bubbly too.
Will definitely return
All was great until I got a nasty gram from Opentable accusing me of missing my reservation without canceling. Apparently Willa Jean staff did not mark us as having attended. Get it together people!
Yummmmm! I had been waiting to dine at Willa Jean for a long while. The food was all I expected it to be - amazing!
