Excellent as always!
A must for Breakfast while in New Orleans!!
Wonderful as always. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the cookies were as well!
Willa Jean was amazing! They accommodated my last minute reservation change with no problem.
We went once when we were here in April and then wound up going two more times that week. Here this week for a conference and trying to make it for one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner - cause it’s all good, better when you have people to share with. Don’t miss the cornbread!
Looked this place up before arriving to NOLA. The reviews were great and this place delivered. Be hungry when you arrive because you need to try a few things, especially the biscuits. We have the kale salad, fried chicken and biscuit, and the shrimp and grits. Oh we also got another biscuit on the side with honey. Everything was delish. The monkey bread looked delish but also really sweet. Definitely book here for Saturday brunch. Go on the early side (930-10) so you can walk those biscuits off exploring the city.
The service was excellent. Highly recommend the monkey bread and the Croque Madame.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Ambiance was low-key. This place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The poutine was delicious. I would definitely go back if I find myself in Nee Orkeans again.
Make your reservation. You won’t regret it.
Everything we tried, we love. If you're there for breakfast, do NOT miss the banana bread.
Poutine did not have enough shrimp and BBQ shrimp plate was salty. Other than that, everything else was tasty and service was good
Wonderful ambiance and location. Terrific team of professionals! The food is nothing less than exquisite. Spicy Eggs Benedict with Tasso ham, Monkey Bread, Pecan Rolls and amazing coffees and lattes - do not miss the opportunity to brunch at Willa Jean!
Unique ambiance. Food was very tasty, though a bit overpriced for dinner. You cannot beat the cookies!
A breakfast must. The menu will satisfy whatever mood you're in. Comfort food? Check. Light and satisfying? They have that too. Southern Fare? Yep. We loved the variety.
Service started out great then it went a little downhill. Not sure if our waiter forgot to turn in our order or if he purposely delayed it because we ordered an appetizer and he timed it wrong. Simple breakfast requests for 4 of us and it took over 1 hour. LOOOOONG wait between app and entree.
Food & service was fab! Not sure the thinking behind reserving online & getting a confirmation # and then getting a phone call asking me to confirm....WHY...
Absolutely wonderful! We had the cornbread starter, BBQ Shrimp Toast, Hangover Bowl, & Tasso Benedict. Will definitely be back!
Our meal and service was excellent. Enjoyed the look and feel of the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Here for anniversary. Dallas was so friendly!
The food was soul filling.
Easy to get to from our hotel. It was our first dinner while in New Orleans and we had a great meal and took some goodies from the counter bakery back to the hotel with us!
Food was very good to excellent, especially fish and chips. Service was good. It was very loud in there which may have contributed to some misunderstandings with service quality.
I would go there again.
I went there for brunch. Ordered bbq shrimp and summer hash. They were Excellent!!
Nice service, excellent biscuits, beautiful bathroom. Recommend the chicken biscuit.
We were on vacation in NOLA and came across an article about the best breakfast locations by neighborhood. We made reservations online and it was seriously one of our favorite meals of our trip! We had the shrimp and grits and the breakfast hash with fried chicken. So much food! My husband polished his off but no way could I finish mine! The coffee was great, the service was amazing and the ambience is fun! We will definitely make it a regular stop in our visits to NOLA!
Food was fabulous and service was friendly and efficient. We had breakfast and the biscuits are different than normal southern biscuits but were delicious! We will be back.
This place was fantastic. Great food, open and bright. I loved the little touches with the lighting and presentation of the dishes we order.
Amazing bakery! Must try their pastries!
Shining star of my weekend get away. I think there are angels in the kitchen baking! Our waitress was kind and knowledgable. Great location! NOLA MUST!
We had to make a reservation for 7 am and there were only 5 tables full by 7:45 -8:00... we couldn't understand why we could not have made a later reservation but my husband loves WJ and we got up to be there. We had our grandchildren... not much of a selection for children. Ordered the monkey bread, which was overcooked (rubbery). The food was very different from the last time we were there. It was not up to the normal standards we were used to. My dish was very bland and my husband's short rib meal had very little "shortribs" and he said the grits were very bland.
We did love the cornbread which is my husband's favorite.
Excellent food as usual. The cornbread is amazing and the corn chowder has the right amount of heat. The chicken and rice was very good. Our fish and chips came out cold but the wait staff quickly replaced it with a fresh serving that was hot and flavorful.
Love the food and service.
Great service and food and The atmosphere was great !
The Pimento grilled cheese with Spicy creole tomato soup was AMAZING!
Hope this becomes a staple on the menu.😉
Although, I didn't get dessert this visit don't miss out on trying Willa's treats.
Great food and great service. Only wish the portions were bigger.
With so many eateries to choose from in New Orleans, I would recommend Willa Jean to anyone looking for creative and very tasty selections. Great ambiance for Nola and the staff was friendly.
Enjoyed our time there and look forward to going again and trying some of their other menu items.
Chris had such great suggestions - the muffins and biscuits were FABULOUS!
Everything was delicious. The drinks were tasty; I had the Im(peach)mint - bourbon, peach, and mint. Poutine, yes. Beet salad, yes. Chicken & rice had big mushroom flavor and was the best dish of the night. Fried chicken sandwich was tender and crispy. Banana pudding, yes. Brown butter peach dessert, yes. Chess pie “deconstructed,” yes. Rwandan pour over was nice with the desserts. Go to this place.
Phenomenal food! I'm from South Louisiana and was there for the Queen Concert with my two sisters. We loved everything we ordered. I'm vegan and there was a quinoa bowl that they just held the egg off for me, it was fantastic. The baked goods were also fantastic. We will be back!
Good food, great service, perfect spot to dine at before a concert at the Smoothie King Center!
Breakfast menu is only until 10:30–seems a little early
