We arrived earlier than our reservation but they were able to seat us. The space is very pretty and decorated well. I especially loved the light fixtures that looked like whisks. I had the salted honey latte and my husband had a black cold brew. He enjoyed his coffee but kept sneaking sips of mine! The salted honey latte was so good that I had to use all of my self control not to chug it. We always over order and then regret it, so we opted against getting anything from the snacks section of the menu. I’m glad we did because the portions we plenty enough. I had the chicken biscuit with Tabasco honey and he had the sausage, egg and pimento cheese biscuit. They were both excellent. My chicken was fried perfectly and the sausage on his was HUGE. We asked about it and they buy the meat from Piece of Meat in Mid City and make the sausage in house. Usually, biscuits are too doughy for me (I know that sounds weird) but these were flaky and crisp on the outside. We ordered a strawberry basil daiquiri to go but they have about 4 frozen options that sounded good and dangerous. Overall, we enjoyed everything about our experience and look forward to going back.
Highly recommend this place. It is a very pleasant environment. Service was great, she was friendly and made great recommendations. But the star of the show is the food and fresh baked goods. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly.
Very cool atmosphere with good food! The biscuits are almost like croissants because they have so many layers. I got the Biscuits and Gravy, my husband got the Chicken Biscuit -- both were delicious!
Just so delicious! So happy we chose a local restaurant and felt so welcomed by all the staff. Food was off the charts!
It was amazing! I think I had the best spinach dip I have ever had. The biscuits and gravy were also wonderful.
Very good, but took a long time (45 mins) to get food, even though they weren't very busy when I got there.
Very hip & modern
Cool vibe
Great food
Chill servers
Very happy with my 1st experience
Perfect breakfast or lunch. Excellent drinks and amazing food. Loved it so much went twice in two days! Sweet staff as well.
Carrol is a great and friendly worker!
A must place to eat when in NOLA! Will come again!!
Loved it! Brussel sprouts are amazing!
Willa Jean was a perfect brunch spot! Great ambience, service, food, and company. Would highly recommend.
Great atmosphere and excellent food!
This place was spectacular! We will come back without hesitation next time we’re in the area.
Wonderful all around.
We visited Willa Jean in February and it was FANTASTIC! Really great ambience and service, the food and drinks were phenomenal. I've worked in food service for over twenty years so I'm generally critical 😂 but everything was so nice at Willa Jean - a great memory for us during our trip to New Orleans. When we come back, a visit to Willa Jean will definitely be on the agenda.
Good food, good service, good social distancing!
Delicious!!
Came for the famous king cake and was not disappointed!
This was about our third time visiting Willa Jean. We had some friends in from out of town and were excited to bring them. Our server left a lot to be desired, to be nice about it. She brought us water initially, but never asked for drink orders. We didn’t even know she was our server! About 10 minutes later, she came to take our drink order. She had been standing at the bakery bar chit chatting with the employee back there. The drinks were great. The food was amazing, but the service was down right embarrassing the entire time we were there. She never asked if we wanted more drinks, she hardly ever checked on us. Just disappointing. There are other options that offer great food and service... we will most likely choose elsewhere next time.
Loved the menu options and taste of the food at Willa Jean's! Will be back for sure!
Our food was so delicious and our wait person was personable and professional. We definitely will come back. The cornbread was beyond amazing, my salad super fresh. The warm cookies and milk...yum.
Always great food and service
Server was incredibly rude. We were treated as if we were lucky to be dining there.
Service was lacking. Waiter seemed miserable and didn’t even speak to us. No refills and did not even come check on us after we received our food. Food was good but service was awful.
So delicious! We sat in the sun at the window counter, and each dish that came our way was fantastic in its own way--the monkey bread sweetness overload, bbq shrimp briny and tangy and different, and the veggie-grain bowl spicy and so flavorful. Our server was warm and welcoming, too.
One of the gems 💎 of the city ! Great atmosphere, great creative food and sweets! Highly recommended
Amazing food and awesome service too.
Expected more from this restaurant. The coffee was cold and service was fairly slow even though it wasn’t busy. Servers were more concerned with side work and talking amongst themselves then service. We ordered the biscuit sandwiches. The biscuits were very good but the bacon was over cooked and the Pimento cheese was cold which took away from the warm sandwich. Plus, a piece of fruit or something should be served on the side of the sandwich, even if just for presentation.
Server was aloof
I have been here before and I love it. I always order the chicken biscuit.
Consistent food, service and atmosphere. Great spot for brunch or coffee and a bite, or for lunch or dinner with friends.
The biscuit is in the too five best things I have ever eaten. The chicken biscuit with tabasco honey is so perfect in every it defies explanation. I absolutely cannot stop thinking about it.
Made a reservation and had to wait a very long time anyway— not very many tables and they don’t account for their reservations I suppose
go early it gets crowded. otherwise excellent food and amazing biscuits
Love Wills Jeans - we eat there every time we’re in town
Willa Jean was amazing!!! Perfect for a casual breakfast or fun brunch with a group. Food and service were both excellent!
Great food, great service and amazing coffee! Will definitely be back next time we're in NOLA.
Food was great but service was a little slow. Server was very friendly.
Best biscuits I’ve ever had!
