Loved the new variation on avocado toast.
Perfect evening! First, the restaurant is very loud, difficult to have a conversation, didn’t bother us, but a couple did leave due to the noise level.
Now, service was perfect, relaxed, yet very attentive, manager check on every table.
Food was delicious, with everything under $20, we ordered lots of plates. Even the entrees were a nice small portion. We had tuna wraps, Korean fried chicken, kale salad, candied ribs, linguine with clams and cinnamon toast bread pudding! Everything was wonderful, I especially liked the pasta.
Yummy! BBQ shrimp toast was delish! Get the banana pudding too!!
This restaurant is a one of a kind. There is a reason Chef Kelly Fields won the James Beard award for best pastry chef, and it is written on every plate. This environment and complexity of flavors are few and far between. If you don't believe me, you can ask Beyonce, because even she has eaten there.
Food was fantastic! The Boudin biscuit was great!
We had great food!
Everything here is delicious. Got the cornbread, biscuit and shrimp and grits. Cornbread is sweet, salty, and sticky with the generous cane syrup poured over the top. Biscuit is flaky and buttery. Shrimp was cooked well and if we could make the grits cheesy they would be so fantastic. Of course I couldn't walk out without getting a chocolate chip cookie and that was perfectly sweet and salty, making for a perfect afternoon snack.
Delicious breakfast. Always busy and full of people. Milk money latte and griddled banana bread are amazing. Reservations are helpful to not wait a long time.
Crawfish Benedict was excellent!! A great start to the day... treat yourself to a Matcha Green Tea. Excellent!!
The biscuits are VERY GOOD! Definitely go before 10:30 for their breakfast menu which has biscuit sandwiches!!!
Everything was just, alright. After hearing a lot of good stuff we decided to give it a try. We went for dinner and the menu was very limited. What we ordered was not bad, but compared to similar restaurants in New Orleans, I was not impressed. This place is probably better for lunch I’m guessing. The dinner menu seemed like a lunch menu. Not that it was a bad experience or bad food, but we won’t be returning any time soon. No wow factor.
Food was spectacular l! Well presented and tasted delicious. Hostess and server was amazing.
I went to brunch with my sister and we had a blast! The mimosas are amazing
Perhaps my fault - I had no idea that a 10:45am reservation would entitle us to lunch only. Brunch was done for the day - yikes! Never heard of lunch starting before 11am anywhere else, I must say. Oh, well. The artichoke and cheese dip with crostini was amazing. Had a lovely biscuit with jam and butter. And the chicken salad on top of a green salad was very tasty. It’s bustling and noisy, but that’s part of the experience.
Everything we had for breakfast was delicious! The cornbread is a full loaf. The pimento cheese plate was wonderful. All of the biscuit meals we tried were also outstanding. Best meal we had in New Orleans!
Cookies & Milk to die for! Gravy fries appetizer and the pimento appetizer very good! Love this place! Definitely would go back!
Food and service excellent. I had wanted an earlier reservation than 8:30, but none were available. However, when I arrived the restaurant was more than half empty. Not sure why nothing earlier was available
Great meal start to finish! The frozen orange creamsicle is SO GOOD!! We had the monkey bread and griddled banana bread to start, both were light and delicious. Two of us ordered the crawfish eggs benedict and one ordered the bbq shrimp toast. The crawfish eggs benedict was amazing, so many crawfish and the eggs were cooked perfectly, people at other tables told us they wished they had ordered it when it was served. My sister said the bbq shrimp toast did not disappoint. Patrick was a friendly and attentive server, we will definitely be back!
Delightful first experience....looking forward to the next!
Wonderful place for breakfast. I had the yogurt with fruit and granola. Large serving with fresh berries and delicious granola. My husband had the eggs, bacon and biscuit. The biscuit was large and tasted amazing ! A couple next to us ordered the corn bread. It was an entire loaf steaming hot out of the oven. If you like pastries they had an amazing display of gorgeous choices. I would highly recommend this place to all.
Amazing! One of my favorite restaurants in NOLA
Amazing! Going back again tomorrow before heading to the airport!
Excellent service and great food. The pastry chef won a well deserved James Beard award the night I dined. Easy to see why!
The Salmon Toast was awesome
Went for dinner and it was not what I expected. Much more of a breakfast or lunch place.
Food was amazing especially the monkey bread! Our server was very attentive and friendly which is so refreshing these days. Love the mimosa bar at the table. Will definitely be back!
Everything was fantastic. I thought the shrimp/grits would be a larger portion. The dish was very good.
It was so good that we are going back today!! Warning: portions are generous. Great pimiento cheese, fried chicken biscuit. Loved the honey vanilla latte.
The pastries were very good but the breakfast in the menu were just ok. Service was very good but overall price versus value was just acceptable
The avocado toast was great! Unfortunately we were not there in time for monkey bread nor banana bread, so get there early!
It was our first visit. My husband who is a coffee lover and picky loved the coffee(strong/black). I had special dietary requests and they met all them with flying colors.
The pimento cheese and chicken sandwich were fabulous!
The food was perfectly prepared great flvor combination the lamb potpie was amazing try the corn bread or pomomento cheese both very strong. The staff was attentive but disinterested the woman at the coffee bar was outstanding friendly helpful really took her time to explain everything
Went for brunch. Most of the food came to the table lukewarm. Bacon was room temp. The only item at proper temp and of note was the griddled banana bread. Service was very lackluster - slow, drinks not refilled till asked, asked for sugar for the coffee but ended up having to steal it from another table, etc. Would not go back.
The food was a great disappointment, although the biscuits and bakery we're good. The service and atmosphere was great, but the food was bland. It's unusual to have unseasoned food in New Orleans, but my Crawfish Benedict, and my date's Pork Sausage was lacking flavor.
It was just ok- Nothing bad happened, the wait staff was nice but it came across as kind of a fast food type place that sold fairly fancy food. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Would I recommend it? I mean, if someone was out of options and needed a quick bite and great food wasn't the priority than yes but not when there are so many other great places in the area. We ate at a place the night before that had a similar vibe and the food was amazing- the menu at Willa Jean suggested gourmet but it wasn't- sorry to be harsh and I rarely write neg reviews but since they emailed me and asked I feel compelled.
The restaurant interior was very stylish and beautiful. Food was fine, but my chicken and rice not worth paying money for and didn’t look very appetizing (even my kids said so). Our server didn’t seem to care about us and we felt rushed. Maybe breakfast/brunch is better but didn’t try.
