Excellent food and service. We had a fantastic night out with friends. Thank you!
I took my daughters out for dinner and we had the best server and great service. We were able to enjoy dinner outdoors, we felt safe, and loved the ambience. We had a great experience during a really weird time. It was nice to forget about the weirdness and truly enjoy a good dinner. The mushroom soup is AMAZING!!
We were initially seated at a table that was very windy and also neglected by the server. Upon request, we were responsively moved to another table that was more comfortable and more attentively served. After that the food and service were both excellent. The menu shows excellent creativity and appears to be seasonal. Both of our dishes were excellent. The mushroom soup was deliciously creamy and flavorful. The lamb bolognese was well seasoned and perfectly paired with ziti and ricotta. The Kobe beef hot dog was a clever idea and well executed with perfectly textured truffle fries. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
We enjoyed a Ladies Luncheon for five to celebrate a bride-to-be's special day coming up. We dined outside on the very pretty patio. I follow the autoimmune protocol (AIP) diet and White Dog was able to handle my food choices effortlessly. Wonderful lunch for all!
Service outshined the lackluster food in our first indoor visit since March. Highlight of the meal was a flavorful pumpkin soup. The beet salad with polenta croutons, usually a winner, was covered in tough, semi-dehyderated watermelon radish slices and the croutons were cold, rock hard pellets instead of the usual crunchy exterior with warm soft polenta inside. An underseasoned dressing was the final blow. Scallop main course was a study in whites: scallops atop mashed potatoes with cauliflower-boring. Our server was excellent, but we'll wait a while before a return trip and hope the chef was simply taking a night off on that particular visit.
My friend and I had a great dinner here. Service was outstanding, food delicious, and a great atmosphere. Thank you!
Our outdoor seating was moved inside on a very rainy day with excellent accommodation by the staff. Thank you.
Delicious pumpkin soup and falafel. Really enjoyed the spicy fig margarita!
The hostess was rude and not very accommodating. The food is good but for some meals totally overpriced.
Waiter was awesome. He was very attentive and so much fun.😊
Enjoyed the simple preparation of local and in-season produce. Brussel sprout and sweet potato plus mushroom soup was perfect vegetarian meal.
It was really great!
Given COVID challenges, I think they did a great job. Autograph Brasserie which is another local favorite of ours seems to be really challenged with Service during this time.
Excellent food and setting. We had to wait for a bit for our table and the manager was very apologetic and brought over several appetizers as an apology. Well done!
Excellent service, food and ambience! We will return!
Our waitress was wonderful because I changed our table about three times. She was so sweet. The crab cake and brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious. Great lunch place!
Sat outside, had great service and excellent food. Really enjoyed the local beers and our server Phil was helpful and conversational
We were seated outside and it seemed that none of the servers thought we were their table. We waited over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us and finally resorted to flagging a server down who was walking by. Once she took our order all was good (except when the umbrella was lifted straight out of the table by the wind) but no one was hurt and it didn't even spill the wine!
If White Dog is going to offer outdoor dining they really need to provide heaters. Although our server was great and the food was good we were just too cold after sunset - even though it was a mild day. While we’re trying to avoid Covid infections, people are afraid of indoor dining. We like dining there but will wait until it’s safer (and warmer).
A great experience. The fall drink menu is imaginative as well as delicious. Our server Jason was well informed, friendly and very professional . Can’t wait to dine again!! Thank you
Had another Fabulous experience at the White Dog. A great meal at a wonderful place. Our server Dan was a great part of our meal and expertly guided us through wine selections paired to our meal
Delicious brunch , outside dining was beautiful under the tent & tables spread out due to Covid . The decorations for fall added to the atmosphere
Great food, adorable restaurant. Always a favorite spot when we’re in town.
I’ve been to other White Dog locations and have always enjoyed my meals but this time was not to the usual standard. We started with burrata and peaches. The burrata was good but the peaches were extremely unripe; we couldn’t even eat them. I know they’re out of season but why put them on the menu if they’re not ripe.
The main courses were also disappointing. The scallops were decent but they came out lukewarm. The burger was over cooked but also lukewarm and the cheese was cold and not melted.
Besides the food, everything else was great. Our server was attentive and friendly and the ambiance was good.
I’d like to hope this was an exception to the norm so I might give them another chance but this experience was really disappointing.
The bread platter was amazing! The mushroom soup was a delight.
Enjoyed our latest trip to White Dog. We dined indoors, precautions were taken including distancing and the food and service were excellent as per usual.
Honestly I have never had a bad experience at White Dog before. However the service to which I have never complained about was just ok. We got there and were seated ASAP which was fantastic. However my friend and I just felt rushed to get out. For what we paid for which was oysters , the bottomless drink menu , and each getting an entree it was just like not cool. This experience won’t deter me from coming back but if you treat customers like that on their first time coming then id expect them to not come back. I’ve been brunching with this establishment for years and always bring in new people with me. It’s COVID I get it , you have other people wanting and waiting to eat I get it but that’s just not my problem. Patience is a virtue.
Crab cake was delicious. Atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed.
Excellent experience. We had a reservation for outside seating. We were seated promptly. Great service and great food. We were not rushed.
Our go to lunch spot - indoors or out! The food is consistently delicious. We love the restaurant.
Amazing food & great server made it special night
Very well done! Thank you 😀
My friend and I had a great time and the food/service is amazing!
We had an amazing time. Outside patio was beautiful!!!
This has always been one of my faves! Was disappointed to see the menu was so pared down. Some of our "go to's" were missing from the menu, which is now very sparse. Virtually no GF options for my celiac son and GF husband. Sounded like the family across the room was also struggling with identifying menu options for their family. The restaurant is so terrific, I'll keep an eye on the website for expanded menu options before returning. I understand the COVID shutdowns have ravaged restaurants so this is more of a cry for help than a criticism.
Very pleasant service and management. They are handling the Covid situation professionally.
Love this spot. The outside dining experience in general - can be hit or miss - but the White Dog have got you covered. We ate there a couple of times over the past week and it hit the spot both times. Last week we celebrated a special occasion and were in the tent. Sunday we took the kids for brunch and were seated at a table outside. Both times service & food great. The staff are very accomodating - fussing over the kids, making them comfortable and making sure they are happy. Food selections excellent - fresh food, locally sourced in many cases.
Waitress was less than friendly and food was just okay. I remember loving it before COVID but I think the ambiance and food was negatively impacted since the pandemic.
It was way too hot in the restaurant.
