Excellent food and service. I even dropped a few credit cards out of my purse and the manager called my cell immediately and we were able to walk back over before leaving the parking area. Quality food and employees (Haverford)
Adorable restaurant. Our server was attentive and the food was great. We will definitely return when visiting the area.
The food was great and the portion sizesOverall it was a very nice experience. We would definitely go there again
The food was awesome. The ambiance is relaxed and comfy. The crab dip is divine.
First time at the Haverford restaurant, great experience. A little pricey but worth it. The bartender was our server, he was attentive while doing double duty.
Always a reliable and great choice for brunch, lunch or dinner- special occasions or just a nice day out! I love both locations, Haverford for outside seating, Wayne for indoor. Food is always good and service great too!
We had Alex as our server. She was super friendly!
We had outside dining reservations. Service was extremely slow. It took almost a one hour before someone came to take our order AND to give our table water. We tried to flag someone during our wait time, was told someone will be out shortly. I understand the restaurant business is short staffed, but to be seated with no water and to wait close to an hour before served is ridiculous.
Food was fine, but the whole waiting experience truly ruined it.
Food was just ok. The lettuce in my Caesar salad had brown spots
We visited for White Dog for brunch to celebrate a birthday. We were late and they were complimentary after calling to move the reservation twice which I really appreciated.
The food was just okay with the exception of the lamb Bolognese and crab cake sandwich. Oysters were small with shell chips from shucking, tuna tartare wasn’t fresh. Beet salad was small and lacked enough lettuce to really be filling and salmon was added. The salmon was dry and overcook.
While everyone else was accommodating and had wonderful service, our server Ava seemed confused and disappeared for long periods with us having to ask bussers, hostess and other servers for help. And even when she did show up it was usually without what we asked for or forgetting what we asked for.
The final straw was bringing the bday dessert that was given/put I front of the wrong person.
Drinks were solid but nothing to shout about for $17
Server Mariya was great
I was served caffeinated coffee by mistake on Friday, June 11 while sitting in a booth in the bar. That ruined a night’s sleep. When I contacted a manager, he said he’d look into and get back to me. But despite my prodding, I never heard back. I’m a long time, frequent and loyal client and love the place. I hope this note will get to the right person who will take corrective action.
Cheese board was horrible & left much to be desired. Portions were tiny, cheese wasn’t very good, so wouldn’t recommend it.
Portions were small for the cornbread too, but it was delicious.
Salmon was cooked perfectly, but it came with a cold potato salad (was not described as cold on the menu).
Service was a little slow, but she was kind enough to offer me another side instead at no charge.
Seats were comfortable & decor was cute. Wine was only $10 per glass. Wasn’t very impressed, but wasn’t horrible either. Would go back and order differently next time.
This was the first time venturing into a local restaurant since the pandemic started. The food was delicious, the service was lovely, the drinks were strong, and my partner and I enjoyed the evening. I had the crab cake sandwich with truffle fries, he had the pork chop with hoisin and ginger sauce. Both were delectable. The crowd around us seemed to be having a good time - so did we.
All 6 of us were Happy
Over the years we have been frequent patrons of White Dog in all locations. It has been on the decline in terms of quality of food over the past couple of years. I had the crab cake and it was the worst I have had.
Food was quite good and I’m a foodie. Even so the prices were shockingly high for lunch. If price is not an obstacle, this restaurant should be on your list of places to dine.
Great place to go for lunch. We sat outdoors and it couldn't have been lovelier. Our waiter was awesome. Couldn't have been more attentive. Food is always good.
Was so excited to go to a restaurant for the first time in 15 mo the and went back to one of my old favorites. But was disappointed overall. The service was slow. Items were missed and had to be reordered. And the food was not as good as it has been in the past. The mushroom soup however is still as awesome as ever!
Our reservation was for 12:45 since 1 pm was not available. We were seated even though one of our party was late. We ordered wine which was brought in a timely manner. The third member of our party arrived, ordered wine, but it was not brought until our lunch was served. While the plexiglass barriers perhaps helped with Covid, the noise was unbelievable being funneled out and over. I guess our mistake was not only taking into account the amount of foot traffic at lunchtime, but also not realizing how terribly crowded the restaurant felt.. I have not experienced that at White Dog in Wayne.
Good food. OK service. A bit loud inside.
Lovely business lunch at White Dog - great service, food and environment!
We had a nice dinner and dessert, the food was good and just the right amount. Our waitress was nice, but I didn't feel as though she didn't pay attention to us. The restaurant itself is lovely and we enjoyed our evening.
The GM is the most rude, un-inviting, aloof and disinterested man. And it’s every time!!! I’m not one to write anything negative but how the Fearless group not only hired but keeps this person as the face of this fabulous restaurant is actually frightening.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. The only redeeming part of our lunch was our bubbly, sweet energetic server.
I felt portions were small and when I substituted with subtracting an item it was charged an additional amount
Very nice, very quiet tonight, service and food was very good. I'm glad to come back and visit again.
We went to brunch for my Mom’s birthday. They spilled a full drink all over her and two chairs, to where she needed to change seats. I know it was an accident but they did not even take her desert or drink that was spilled off of the bill. I didn’t want to say anything and make the person who spilled it more embarrassed, so I just paid the full bill. Kind of left disappointed with the service.
I have eaten here many times, including brunch, and always enjoy my meal. However this time I ordered the Lancaster omelet, which I’ve always enjoyed but this time it was dried out, overcooked and served almost cold. Very disappointing That said the two people who were with me enjoyed their meals. I am hoping mine was not a sign of diminishing quality and just a one time problem
Erica was probably the best waitress we’ve ever had. Knowledgeable, attentive and engaging. She made the dinner feel extremely special.
I FEFOR THE MONEYLT FOOD WAS PRICY GOOD BUT NOT A VALUE - SERVICE FROM OUR SERVER INCREASED OUR ENJOYMENT
Food was ok but overpriced. I ordered the oysters and had to send a couple back. Service was ok because it was kind of busy. Ambiance was horrible...I felt like I was in my grandmother’s living room. I guarantee my cocktail had no alcohol in it. I won’t go back.
Food and service were great, dining room was chilly, bring a sweater!
Great food. Wonderful service. Lovely environment.
We eat at the Haverford White Dog Cafe fairly regularly, I have always enjoyed my experience until now, we had reservations, we were seated pretty immediately. The wait for service was extremely long, waitress barely acknowledged me but addressed my husband, we received our meal before receiving our drinks, the meal was good as usual though, the cheese board was nice, hubby expressed that the honey should be in a dish so it doesn't spread onto everything else, making everything sticky. He highly enjoyed his mushroom soup, and marinated cucumbers and pork chop entrée. I enjoyed the lamb bolognese. Then at the end of the meal, we sat for almost 30 mins in the outside seating unattended , my husband got up to go inside to get the waitress when she came out, she took my credit card for payment then came back and attempted to hand it to my husband instead of placing on the table in a neutral position or to me
We have been fans of white dog since it’s opening; yet the last 2 visits with outside seating have disappointed.
Service has been extremely slow!
Last night we had a 6:15pm reservation; took almost 25 minutes to place drink order and took 45 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. The server seemed very overwhelmed.
And food took even longer to appear.
Not a good valve for the money; unfortunately we will be taking a break from dining at White Dog Haverford.
Second visit was okay. My truffle fries wasn’t fresh as the first time i dined at the cafe, but it was okay
Server was nice.
The Kennett Square Mushroom soup is irresistible - so I didn't.
Food is delicious and breakfast and lunch variety on the menu for brunch/lunch hours. Quiet atmosphere and free easy accessible parking.
One of the worst white dog that we have visited. Made a reservation two weeks ahead, only to arrive at the store and were sent to a tiny table that’s less than 0.5ft to next table of 5. The front desk is racial. Of all those empty seatings with far better locations and table seats, we, as Asian couples, were sent to this tiny table of two while seeing other 2 white couples after us were sent to a far better seats. The other couples were sent to a table of 4 seats, when they have only two, like us. Good was okay, except that the chicken I ordered was cold inside. Food was sent back to be redone. My wife’s taco was okay- comparable to other white dog locations.
The server was attentive, nonetheless.
Not a COVID-friendly restaurant as they suggested - if you are not 100% comfortable sitting
