It has some potential but the service was slow (although professional and friendly) and it was pretty noisy. We were at a center table and it was so packed that we were often jostled by fellow patrons walking and I was even hit in the head with a chair by a server setting another table; not hard but still...
First time for brunch and it was great. Never had a bad meal here. Our reservation was for 10:30, and by the time we left it was packed. Might recommend going earlier for brunch.
Wayne location is better in all aspects. don't plan to re-visit here. only nice person was the lady who guided us to a table. Waiter acted like he was doing us a favor. he did not offer his name. Mainline snob i guess.
a smile would be nice.
Very good! Can’t wait to go back
This is one of our favorite restaurants! Tonight we had our favorite server, Brittany. It’s a farm to table menu with outstanding food and seasonal specials. My husband thought the meatloaf was very good. I had the Butchers cut and tonight it was a filet, perfectly cooked for me at medium. Cocktails are equally delicious and they also have seasonal drinks. We’ve never been disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit!
Been to WDC many times. Never been dissolved! Recommend! Yes
Food and flavor profiles are interesting and absolutely delicious. Blown away every time I go!
My companion and I had a wonderful lite meal, made better by a terrific and professional server named Brittany.
Everything was delicious and our service was wonderful. I really enjoyed my experience and wouldn't hesitate to order again.
Great as always for Saturday brunch. The waiter was extremely patient seeing that we wanted to extend our stay to talk and told us not to hurry. Perfect.
Everything about It is welcoming and homey, food is great!!!
It would be hard to top the service and the ambiance was great but with one exception the food was disappointing. Only one entree was said to be really good. My guests mumbled polite thanks but the plates didn’t reflect enthusiasm. I was at your city location some time ago and was looking forward to this event.
It was a terrible experience.....they have too many tables packed in the room where we sat. Which by the way, was not only tight due to the huge chairs, but we were right by the bathroom. So loud we could barely hear each other. Would not eat there again
I called on Sunday at 8:30 AM for a brunch reservation for eight people for 10:30 AM. The hostess accepted my reservation. 10 minutes later the manager called back saying that she was responding to my request for the reservation… which I was already given and confirmed. She reluctantly said my party could come at 10 AM. I called my guests and change the time to 10 AM. 10 minutes after that she called me back again and said she wanted to cancel my reservation because she didn’t realize I made the reservation only that morning. Other larger party groups called “along time ago”. I asked what difference it made when I made the reservation. When I questioned the professionalism of all of this communication, she again reluctantly said the group could come at 10 AM, but had to leave at 11:15. Neither I or any of my guests will never return to this (Haverford) location again.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Will definitely be back
I'm never disappointed when dining at any White Dog location.
Good and service were great.
My guest really appreciated the birthday wishes with a rub off for next time she dines here!
We were seated a half hour after our reservation. My sandwich was mediocre at best.
Great decor. All kinds of people. Families. Dates. Older younger.
Not the city yet table was on top of neighbor.
EC oysters skip.
I don’t like pierogi. Can’t probably spell pierogi. I loved these pierogies.
Entrees good. Meatloaf and branzino.
Shockingly bad frites. I had them at their other cafe and they were phenomenal.
Service seemed overwhelmed.
Every time I've been to any of the White Dog locations, it has been a wonderful meal. The kitchen is fantastic, the staff are amazing, and the locatione are super convenient (and cozy).
Good food, service and decor is fun. Have been several times.
Wonderful way to have lunch with a grandchild.
Loved the pear/kale salad with salmon. Always a lovely lunch spot. Will be back!
Went here on my lunch break to celebrate my husbands birthday! We had a blast! Our server was friendly and attentive, our food was well seasoned, fresh, and flavorful. We had a lovely dessert and the mocktails were fun! I would definitely come back!
Food is always fresh and delicious . Can’t remember our server’s name . She was fantastic. I keep going back and always will.
Our server, Daniel, was incredibly warm and welcoming and did a wonderful job
Lovely restaurant but food prices high for suburb. Food very tasty but small portions.
Came in for supper on a Monday night and enjoyed a half price bottle of wine. Food, as always was delicious. Always a nice place to have supper.
Always reliable. Good food. Good service. Very attractive atmosphere. A neighborhood gem!!
i made my reservation through open table specified a booth in bar area. got there on time did not have a booth available waited a 1.2 hour and had to sit at bar. not pleased
The food was delicious and came to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Our server was attentive and friendly, keeping an eye on what we needed without hovering. And the quirky, "Alice-in-Wonderland" ambiance is most of the reason my friends and I keep coming back. An excellent brunch spot, both downtown and on the Main Line!
Mentioned it was my husbands bday when I made reservation. When we arrived everyone we came into contact with knew and wished him happy birthday. Tuna tartare is unbelievably great. Scallops were delish.
Our favorite restaurant. We usually ask for Erica, but she was not working the evening of our visit. Dan was our server and he was excellent. He was very attentive and made many suggestions, of which we ordered. (Barramundi fish special and meatloaf were excellent. Pirogi appetizer was also excellent). We even made room for the best dessert we had at white dog - peanut butter crunch bar!
I MADE A RESERVATION ON OPEN TABLE LAST WEEK AND ASKED FOR A BOOTH ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 5TH . NO PROBLEM GOT THERE TODAY AND THERE WAS NO BOOTH RESERVED FOR ME AND MY GUEST, STOOD OVER 1/2 HOUR AND NO BOOTH OPENED, ENDED UP EATING AT THE BAR. IF YOU CAN'T RESERVE THE BOOTH FOR ME THEN TELL ME SO. NOT PLEASED.
Pleasant, Professional, and Perfection all describe our dinner at White Dog Café in Haverford on a Friday night. The ambiance always puts one in a cheerful mood, as do the creative concoctions of cocktails that greeted us at the bar, because we arrived early for our reservation. I'm thrilled to see a drink with St. Germain, so it was an easy pick for me. Hubby enjoyed a fine glass of whiskey. Moving on to dinner itself, I was tormented having to choose but ONE appetizer, because I wanted to save room for dessert! We opted for the incredible and always changing deviled eggs, love the protein. Hubby also had the butternut squash bisque soup- served with the vegetables and seasoning in the bowl, our server, Nicole, poured the soup into his dish, piping hot. You could not ask for a better presentation. For dinner, my divine choice was the butternut squash ravioli-- beyond words it was heavenly, creamy, slightly sweet, just perfectly prepared. Hubby had the pot roast, moist, robust, he could not have been happier. And, the cream brulee was crispy on the top, rice puddingy on the bottom. It was worth every calorie! I highly recommend the unusual, friendly, fabulous White Dogs-- they are terrific.
Wonderful dinner, great service, lovely setting. Would recommend highly
We love white dog!!! And everyone there! The cauliflower is mouth watering! The Staff is something special, see you soon.
The servers were great!
