   I've been to the White Dog quite a few times. Food and Service were good, but we got stuffed in the back dining area (first time), which was loud and felt like we were in a diner. To top it off the table was sticky as were the salt and pepper grinders.

   For a very busy holiday it was very good. Jacob our waiter was EXCELLENT. Max and team really delivered today!

   Food was good, wait service was decent. The issues holding our reservation for patio seating had been the biggest dissapointment. Despite arriving early and making patio reservations well in advance we where shown to an indoor seat following our wait, and needed to remind our hostess of our reservation. The response we received was dismissive, more appropriate for a last minute request, and frankly the reason for this review. For this price point there are many other options in the area offering a more welcoming and communicative experience.

   We always have a great experience at the white dog. It was fun to sit outside with my two daughters, who always love the kids menu. We were not rushed and received excellent customer service as usual. Fantastic dirty martini while the girls had ice cream!

   Maybe it was because of the holiday, but the service was painfully slow. 10am reservation for 8. Table set for 7. Almost 30 minutes to get coffee & place our order. By 11:15 the warm donuts we ordered as an app hadn’t arrived and the children were getting rammy. I asked for the donuts & the kids’ food. 60 minutes in still no adult entrees. I told the hostess that I thought we may have to leave without eating. I was told “They’re making it now.” So clearly the order had not been submitted to the kitchen. 90 minutes in the food came. But by then the children had to leave. Another 20 to get the check. No apology or comment from management but a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill. The food, when we got it, was very good.

   Loved the fried pickles. Mom ordered a burger and was delighted they let her cook it medium rare.. Our server, Sara, was super attentive and made the best Shirley Temple my son has ever had "in his entire 6 years." This is a great location for kindness to kids. Thanks for a great lunch!

    Always an A+ experience at any of the White Dog locations. So nice to be promptly and warmly greeted by the Hosts (no phones in sight) thank you! My wife had the Chicken Sandwich, and absolutely loved it. Since it was rainy and cold, I went with grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was absolutely delicious. Our Server Avi was just the right amount of attentive, and one of the Managers pitched in to help clear our dishes and check up on us. True class and professionalism. It’s a must do when you find yourself in Haverford, rain or shine.
