Service was professional however after being given an abundance of menus, I did have point out that I had booked the set 2 or 3 coursed meal due to theatre booking afterwards and was told that this request of mine had to be checked apparently due to food stock levels….

This place was awesome! Being from America my partner is weary of hotel restaurants, but this place far exceeded expectations. Our server was lovely, the food was flavorful and full of great textures. Everyone on staff was helpful and you could really sense the pride in their service. The music level was good where we could still have conversation comfortably. Would recommend to anyone who likes reasonably priced, flavorful fare!

Dithered a lot about whether to leave a comment or not. There was nothing really negative to say but neither is there anything particular noteworthy to say. Service was pleasant but slow and chaotic, food was well cooked but lacking flair and interest. Overall there was nothing worth a complaint but neither was there anything to warrant a return visit.

It was a real treat to be able to take my parents here, Brian our waiter was particularly attentive and friendly without being too intrusive. The meal was absolutely delicious, a good variety of options and all cooked to perfection and well worth the money, only drawback was the wine, whilst great, it was incredibly expensive. Lovely venue set back from the hotel reception so away from the hustle and bustle. Would love to return, once I've saved some more pennies.

Fabulous experience from start to finish. The waiter was so attentive and knowledgeable. We were celebrating a birthday which was discreetly made a fuss of with compliment chocolates and bubbles. The food was faultless. The mushroom risotto was the best we’ve had and the steak cooked to perfection. Fabulous wine also. Highly recommend.

Service always personable and knowledgeable. Sommelier was particularly great on recent visit. Barman was accommodating of a specific ask and recommended a great cocktail. Love coming here, always enjoy the food and the experience. Ambience is also top notch. Lighting is the most flattering around!

Amazing restaurant with really good service and value for money food. Portion sizes exceeded expectations. For fine dining French cuisine, the group was really amazed at how large the servings were. The waiters and sommelier were really attentive and knowledgeable. Catered for gluten free and vegetarians. It was a birthday celebration and they included a special treat at the end for the birthday dinner. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Family, post-theatre meal. Great food and menu. A bit cheeky with a 15% service charge, even if this is what restaurants are doing nowadays. I know it’s discretionary but no one wants to be the dick asking to remove/lower the gratuity. Overall lovely experience though and I would recommend/come again.

We came to Whitcomb's hoping to be able access pre-theatre set menus as well as a la carte. We were told that we had to pre-book set menu. The food from a la carte menu overall was really good. The service was a bit chaotic with constant change of waiters. We were in a bit of a rush and it turned out that this place is better suited for a more leisurely timetable. We managed to get our two courses on time and overall had a pleasant experience. This place is not well suited for a pre-theatre meal.

The venue was unexpectedly elegant as the restaurant is part of a hotel. We had a late lunch (2.30pm) and there was only one other table being used so whilst it was buzzy in the hotel bar, I felt the restaurant lacked some atmosphere. It felt exclusive and certainly the service was attentive, although we were hurried to make a decision on drinks choice as the bar was going to close, which we thought was odd. The food was excellent quality with substantial portions and we were grateful for plenty of time to digest our first course. One criticism was that we were not automatically offered the set menu and we had to ask for it (it had been advertised) as they obviously wanted us to choose from the a la carte menu. We agreed we would go again for food quality but I wouldn’t rush back for atmosphere.

A really mixed experience. The staff were friendly, the location and restaurant were absolutely beautiful. The food was outstanding and great value (3 course pre theatre menu), however, two people had hair in their main course. One is forgivable, two suggests bad practise in the kitchen. One friend did not want hers replaced so got a refund, the other was offered a replacement, which she took but felt this should have been complimentary considering the situation. Food delivery was very random, two people had a starter and then when they were finished and that was cleared the other starters were brought out. Accompaniments we ordered to go with the main didn't arrive and we had to ask for them, by which point it was a bit late therefore lots got left. It also took 4 hours all in for the meal which was fine as we weren't in a rush, but if we had been heading to the theatre would have been disastrous.

This was a last-minute booking for the pre-theatre menu. The entrance is via the Londoner hotel, which wasn’t entirely clear but once in we were really impressed by the service & food. Probably only half full but good ambience nonetheless. We opted for 2 courses, were given wonderful bread & butter, and both starters and mains (calamari, sea bass & poussin) were top notch. Would highly recommend.

The food wasn't much, but it was excellent. The seabass sauce, as well the spinaches, everything was properly done, and the presentation was impeccable. The location is beautiful, just a few steps from Leicester Square, inside The Londoner. Elegant, luxury place. The service was on point. I recommend.
