At Whistle Britches, we’re all about chicken. In 2016, Chef Omar Flores had one thing in mind – serve the tastiest, juiciest and crunchiest bird in town. Our pickle brined bird, farm-fresh ingredients and soulful cooking will leave you wanting more. We believe comfort food never goes out of style.     Food was just ok. Definitely not worth the prices. Cobb salad came out with no bacon. When we asked about it, the waiter said it did not come with bacon. We asked for the menu which clearly stated that it did (we saw the menu on the website), and instead of bringing it to us, he brought out a side of bacon. There was a huge party taking up large tables on both sides of the restaurant. They walked back and forth past us constantly throughout the meal, sometimes hovering over the table. The hostess should have made them wait for tables together, instead of making it uncomfortable for the other patrons dining.

    We have been a few times now. Great food & drinks & super cute inside. The front end staff had zero personality. Definitely changed my scores because of their lack of customer service. Walked in & they just stare at you no hello & no engagement. They barely spoke at all. Then leaving we wanted to purchase a shirt & she asked which one & I was literally holding it & she told me to check the drawers & never left her stand. She was not helping anyone else & there was 2 of them. Another customer had to help me look through the door drawers to find a size. I think their lack of engagement and welcoming into your location sets the wrong immediate impression.

    The place was very cute, we loved the look and the concept. The chicken came out looked Amazing but the flavor was not there. It was just chicken. The server was awesome and the staff was so nice but the food was not flavorful as it looked. Sad that Chicken that looks that good could be so bland.

    I was thrown back at the lack of care for handicapped patrons. We put that we had a wheelchair in our reservation and we’re seated at a booth, which made no sense. When brought to the host’s attention they looked at me as if I was an alien.

    it took over 45 minutes to be served after waiting a while to get coffee/order in. Pancakes were tough; I had a Cobb chicken salad which had canned chicken in it. Wife's salad was fair....

    We have been many times for breakfast. This time for dinner was just okay. I decided to try out the catfish. I don't care for fries. I asked if I could substitute. Waitress said.. No I don't think so. It is a new item on our menu. Really. I don't care for fries so I am wasting them. Meal was okay. Definitely won't get it again. Husband got wings. They were good and tasty. Service wasn't the greatest. Asked her for a honey mustard and had to remind her. Just not a great experience this time.

    Great food and our server was awesome. However, it’s clear they are understaffed and despite the current staff working their tails off, service was not as attentive as you’d expect (drinks late arriving, water glasses not filled, etc). Again this is NOT a criticism of our server who was as efficient as she could be given the limited staffing. I’ll return and hope this was a staffing blip since food was great.

    Service was not the best! Took 45 mins to get our order - nothing complicated fried chicken and a sandwich! Waitress didn’t check on us and had to ask someone else to give my husband the right drink. Later we were told they were down to one fryer, the reason for the delay on the orders. Chicken was very good! Bisquets were hard and didn’t seemed fresh. We may go back for the fried chicken although we found it a little pricey!

    The deviled eggs, and garlic butter fries were melt in your mouth delicious. The chicken tenders were the best we've ever had. My kid who doesn't like potato salad inhaled the potato salad that came with the chicken tenders. Husband got the WB sandwich and said it was amazing. My other kid who enjoys mac & cheese really loved hers. The biscuits were tasty and comes with a delightful jam & butter. The kids couldn't get enough. The WB mule was refreshing. Service was great, and quick - we were there 6pm on 3rd July to watch fireworks at the square. We were served and done eating under an hour. It was impressive.

    Chicken & waffles were good. The rest was mediocre at best. Service was terrible! Restaurant was very dirty. Maybe they had an off day but won’t be going back. It was a bust for us.

    My wife and I dine here regularly and have found the food to be consistently good. The service today was also exceptional! WB remains on top of our “go to” list for restaurants in Southlake.

    The food was great, the service was good except that it took forever to get our check ( at least 15-20 minutes after we were done eating and we had her box the extra fries we ordered 30 minutes prior), it’s louder than most restaurants so it was sometimes hard to hear our table conversation but still really great food.

    Great Potential and effort, should be a Talk of the Town with Polish, don’t give up, Get Better! PS, take 10 mins off Biscuits, they were great, but a little dry. Love the concept!

    I had an 11am reservation and walked into the restaurant at 10:50am. There was no one at the host stand or the dining room. Employees in the kitchen looked up and saw me multiple times but didn't acknowledge or communicate to front of house that there was a guest waiting at the door. After almost 10 minutes, I was approached and seated by the bartender, whom ended up being our server. This same issue happened to the next 6 tables that walked in after me. It seemed like whomever was supposed to be at the host stand didn't want to be in their assigned spot. While placing our order, I inquired about the corn fritters and he recommended them so we added them to our order. A few minutes after serving us our drinks, the entrees came. I asked about the corn fritters and he first responded with "let me go check on them" but then later returned and said "honestly, I never added it to the order." Food was good, though portion on the chicken bennedict was a little small for the price and came on a plate that was a little too big for the dish, more than half of it was empty which made it look even smaller. The restaurant filled up by the time we finished our meal. Not too noisy but the booths designed for parties of 2 are a little too close to each other. My head kept bumping the person sitting behind me. May come back to see if it's a better experience with service but there are plenty of restaurants in the area to try first.

    The only reason I marked down service was because it was Fathers Day and the place was PACKED! Waitstaff was very busy! I’m so glad I made the reservation or we may have not been able to get in. It’s a great place!

    We ordered one plate of tacos and a side of Mac & cheese. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food and several other tables seated after us got their meals and were done before we got our food. The manager ended up comping our food. But it was still an unforced error on their part.

    Wife and I had a wonderful brunch at this establishment in Southlake. Food was excellent and came out hot and fresh. We had the Deviled Egg appetizer which was solid. The brunch meals for both of us were excellent, along with the garlic butter fries. We are definitely fans and will return and let others know.

    The chicken at Whistle Britches can’t be beat. It is always seasoned just right and, best of all, the chicken is always tender enough to cut easily with your fork. The portions are more than we can eat, so the leftover meal the next day is great. We tried the corn fritters last night and really enjoyed them.

    First time at Whistle-Britches and we’ll be back! Great service, delicious food (chicken & waffles, chicken sandwich, Cobb salad, BLTA salad). Nicely decorated - the only negative is the loud music. Hard to talk with people at our table because the music is so loud.

    This review would be 5-stars if they'd have some noise-dampening: curtains, tapestry, something to absorb noise. The noise came from other guests and music, but all the brick walls just made it dance all over the place. My old ears can't discern anything in that environment. Our server, Marina (?), was great, pleasant to work with and answered all questions, order was correct and she even offered to split the check (party of 7). Food was great!

    The food was ok. Very loud making it hard to have a conversation. We went on Saturday around 11am and found out that they don’t serve a lunch/dinner menu until 3PM, this is not posted anywhere that I could find in their website. We were disappointed.

    Good food and great service. Coffee was delivered chilly rather than hot and though the biscuits are delicious, they're structurally too soft for a sandwich. They could use some acoustic panels at the ceiling to break up the noise, not to mention lowering the music so you don't feel you're eating brunch at a night club.
