    We have a table for 8 people. The restaurant was decorated nicely, had a good atmosphere. Not too noisy. Services was a little slow, took sometime for someone to take our drinks order and then took awhile for them to arrive. However once we had ordered food this didnt take too long to arrive. Menu choice is good, food was very good. Overall a nice restaurant and good experience. Would recommend

    Absolutely fantastic - we heard great things and stopped by on our last night in Edinburgh. The waitress who served us (Faith, I believe? Jetlag has taken the name from me) was very friendly, helpful in recommending drinks that paired well and enhanced our experience, and professional in dealing with a disgruntled guest who did not want to follow the reasonably set instructions and got grumpy when rules were enforced. The sticky toffee pudding is incredible, we liked it so much we ordered two! You can't go wrong with the whiskies, though if you are a fan of sweet/fruity drinks, you absolutely have to give the Highlander a try. It's a custom recipe with pink gin (don't get skeptical, it's amazing). I tried to look it up while there, and all the ingredients are completely different in any recipe page. This was easily the best drink I have ever had in my life, completely unexpected but I will take it. I will forever recommend this place to friends, family, and coworkers. Best visited late at night if you're just going for a drink, we walked by a few times during dinner hours, and it was so busy! Reservations are also a must!

    We shared Scotch whiskey samplers within our group before dinner, which helped us to learn a bit about the products of this area. Our food was truly delicious - great service and kitchen!

    Completely not worth the money. A waste of time and energy. The waiter and waitress are not attentive, the food was average level but charges way more. Obviously overpriced. The waitress didn’t know how much the whiskey costs (which is weird because they decide not to write the price on the menu but rather to require the customer to ask the waitress. Would not recommend.

    It's a lovely restaurant and the atmosphere was good with really good music in the background. The food was delicious and I've got to say I keep thinking about the Cranachan dessert as it was fantastic. Staff were lovely and the next time I'm in Edinburgh I will return

    First time at Whiski Rooms despite being a relative local. Night out with wife for our anniversary and we received two glasses of Prosecco complimentary. Set the night up well! Magnificent Cullen skink, 100% Scottish beef burger topped with haggis and sticky toffee pudding . Drambuie coffee... Great night and recommended .

    Great welcome and service throughout. Food was really tasty and good quality. Everyone was impressed including my American friends who particularly liked the steak pie and haggis sausage accompanied by whisky recommended by staff! Lovely time and thanks to staff who made this such a special lunch.

    Great place and wonderful staff! We had a 9p rez and some of the party got stuck and ran late. The staff was very kind to still accommodate us and they were all lovely despite the late hour. The food was equally delicious.

    Been to the Whiski Rooms several times when visiting Edinburgh. On this occasion the food was mediocre and presentation was not to their usual standards. Quite poor actually. Possibly a new xhef?

    Traditional and fine cuisine, in a pretty setting. It is surely the best Cranachan that I have tasted during our entire Scottish stay. I was just a little disappointed that there was no attention for my birthday when I had stipulated the reason for the meal when booking.

    Food was great We had salmon three ways and each was delicious. My wife had the venison which was cooked perfectly, and I had the steak which was well prepared and well accompanied with grilled tomatoes and fries. We indulged in some wisky tasting prior to dinner and the staff were very knowledgeable and very friendly.

    Very professional and knowledgeable staff who made our meal very enjoyable. They were very attentive without being intrusive in our space. We were not rushed between courses allowing us to fully enjoy the ambience of the restaurant as well as savouring the meal and whiskey.

    I would have given 5 stars for the food. However, 2 choices on the vegetarian menu is very disappointing. What appears on the menu via Open Table is not what’s on offer. The choices were Mac & Cheese or Avocado salad. The service and atmosphere are both excellent and the carnivores amongst you have lots of delicious food to choose from but if you’re veggie you need to be aware.
