Great service, fair food. Appetizers were tasty and "local" -- haggis eggrolls and Scotch eggs. Fish and chips main course was bland. Food was hot and fresh though.

Food and service was fine. Music blaring out and too loud to have a chat at table while enjoying meal. Disabled toilets had a bucket and dirty mop inside. Not too hygienic.

Lovely staff, food was ok, I had a charcuterie on board and my partner had the pie and mash. Cocktails were really good.

We arrived early for our reservation and the restaurant was busy, which I appreciate is a pain for staff. However, the service was very poor indeed - rude and borderline aggressive. Having asked to order drinks and waited for some time, two of our party went and stood at the bar to order drinks. We were essentially told off for doing so (table service only), so we apologised and went back to the table we'd been given while our actual table was being prepared. We asked again to order drinks and were aggressively told that our table would be ready soon (not sure why that prevented us ordering some drinks in the meantime). After we were shown to our table, we then waited again for some time and when I caught a member of staff's eye and asked if we could order drinks, she made it very clear that I'd interrupted what she was doing. All a bit more stressful than either desired or required. The drinks then took a very long time to arrive. Some of our party were quite pleased with their food. I had the "lobster" mac and cheese. The inverted commas are appropriate here because there was very little evidence of any lobster. What was essentially ordinary mac and cheese for nearly thirty quid is a nonsense - not a single piece of garnish, no bread. Nothing but dry pasta under a cheese crust. Chips on the dishes near me were cold and undercooked (one of our starters was cold - Cullen Skink. Not ideal). Overall, it was just under £800 for eight people. We didn't all have starters and only a couple had puddings. Poor service, mediocre (at best) food and a large bill wasn't the side of Edinburgh that I had hoped to show our guests. Very disappointed.

Everything was perfect. We went there on our first day in Edinburgh and had an amazing introduction to Haggis. I would recommend it to everyone especially the Haggis. The staff were also very friendly.

Food was great. The service was horrible. They were pushy and tried to get us out as soon as we arrived. Really failed to allow us to have a nice meal and we were only there for an hour, and the restaurant was only half full. Won't be back.
