Award Winning Whiski Rooms is located just off the Royal Mile on the prestigious mound overlooking Princes Street. Our restaurant serves food all day which is freshly prepared using the best locally sourced produce. We have an extensive cocktail list, wine, and craft beer and as expected an amazing whisky selection.
Whiski Rooms has a reputation as being one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh, one of the best Whisky Bars in the world, the first Ardbeg Embassy in the UK, two private spaces; our Ardbeg Room and the Scotch Room available all day or for exclusive use. We also have a whisky and gift shop, and a tasting room for daily whisky tastings.
Come and join us in Whiski Rooms, pop around from the Royal Mile in the city centre looking and savour the views over Princess Street where you will experience traditional Scottish fayre at its best.

Menu much more limited that last time I visited. Less choice of starters and all very expensive. £18 for basic macaroni - this was exceptional last time I came and was 4 cheese with blue cheese that’s now been taken out. My husband was going to have a steak but didn’t due to it being £44 without sauce. No wine for less than £35 and a quick google showed a 300% mark up on our bottle. Shame as used to really like it here.

I have visited the Whiski Rooms on 3 occasions. For 2/3 visits we have had a super experience and I always recommend the restaurant to my friends. The staff are lovely, but I just don’t know what has happened to the food. I definitely made the wrong choice with my meal today. The Three cheese macaroni was very dry and tasteless. I couldn’t face finishing it and it has taken the edge off my experience today. The prices have increased massively, but they have everywhere. It might just be a one off, but I don’t think I will be able to risk another visit. Such a shame really! I do feel gutted, but it’s only food at the end of the day. I’m not one for making a fuss so didn’t complain. It’s hard to complain when the staff are so kind.

Went for our anniversary and loved it. Absolutely charming and wonderful food. Service was top notch and very informative on both the food and the vast whisky options. Presentation was stellar. Cocktail menu had a wide variety of options and clever combos that excelled. A must when I'm Edinburgh!
